Effects of a Peer Tutoring Method on Mathematical Problem Solving and Class Satisfaction (또래교수법이 수학 문제해결과 수업 만족도에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze how a peer mentoring method affects students' problem solving abilities and class satisfaction in the context of high school quadratic curves and provide implications for teaching and learning mathematics. For this study, seventy six 11th graders in the natural sciences track participated in the peer mentoring method. After finishing the teaching method, Problem Solving Abilities Questionnaire was collected for analysis of pre-test/post-test experiments and Class Satisfaction Questionnaire was also gathered. The results show that the mentoring method positively impacts on participants' problem solving abilities and class satisfaction because its comfortable learning environments, individualized learning contents, and unconstrained learning processes motivate them through ways to improve their communication. According to the results, it is to address practical implications applied in teaching quadratic curves in high school with the value and importance of mentoring methods.

The Construction of an Abstract Schema in the Similar Mathematical Problem Solving Process (유사 문제 해결 과정에서 추상적 스키마 구성하기)

  • It is the aim of this paper to suggest the method constructing abstract schema in similar mathematical problem solving processes. We analyzed closely the existing studies about the similar problem solving. We suggested the process designing a method for helping students construct an abstract schema. We designed the teaching method constructing abstract schema by appling this process to a group of similar problems chosen by researchers. We applied the designed method to a student. And we could check the possibility and practice of designed teaching method by observing the student's reaction closely.

  • The algorithm in computer science includes skills to design a problem solving process for solving problems efficiently and effectively. Therefore all learners who learn computer science have to learn algorithm. Education for algorithm is effective when learners acquire skills to design algorithm as well as ability to use appropriate design skills solving problems. Especially since it is heightened people awareness to cultivating informatics gifted students who have potential of significant impact on society, many studies on how to teach them have been in progress. Therefore in this study we adopted puzzles to help informatics gifted students learn skills to design algorithm and how to use them to solve problems. The results of pre and post test compared to traditional algorithm learning, we identified that puzzled based algorithm learning gave a positive impact to students. Students had various problem solving experience applying algorithm design skills in puzzle based learning. As a result, students of learning and learning transfer has been improved.

Development of Design thinking-based AI education program (디자인 씽킹 기반 인공지능 교육 프로그램 개발)

  • In this study, the AI education program for elementary school students was developed and applied by introducing the design thinking process, which is attracting attention as a creative problem solving process. A design thinking-based AI education program was developed in the stages of Understanding AI, Identifying sympathetic problems, Problem definition, Ideate, Prototype, Test and sharing, and the development program was applied to elementary school students in 4th-6th grade. As a result of pre- and post-testing of students' computational thinking skills to confirm the effectiveness of the program, computational thinking skills increased by grade level, and students experienced a process of collaboration for creative problem solving based on insights gained from sympathetic problem finding. In addition, it was possible to get a glimpse of the attitude of using AI technology to solve problems, and it was confirmed that ideas were generated in the prototype stage and developed through communication between team members. Through this, the design thinking-based AI education program as one of the AI education for elementary school students guarantees the continuity of learning and confirms the possibility of providing an experience of the creative problem-solving process.

Vertiport Location Problem to Maximize Utilization Rate for Air Taxi (에어 택시 이용률 최대화를 위한 수직이착륙장 위치 결정 문제)

  • This paper deals with the operation of air taxis, which is one of the latest innovative technologies aimed at solving the issue of traffic congestion in cities. A key challenge for the successful introduction of the technology and efficient operation is a vertiport location problem. This paper employs a discrete choice model to calculate choice probabilities of transportation modes for each route, taking into account factors such as cost and travel time associated with different modes. Based on this probability, a mathematical formulation to maximize the utilization rate for air taxi is proposed. However, the proposed model is NP-hard, effective and efficient solution methodology is required. Compared to previous studies that simply proposed the optimization models, this study presents a solution methodology using the cross-entropy algorithm and confirms the effectiveness and efficiency of the algorith through numerical experiments. In addition to the academic excellence of the algorithm, it suggests that decision-making that considers actual data and air taxi utilization plans can increase the practial usability.

  • IDS, Firewall 등의 보안도구들은 보편화되어 있는 보안 솔루션이다. 시스템의 보안을 책임지는 이러한 도구들이 보안상 문제점(즉, 우회 공격 가능성)을 가지고 있다는 것은 보안에 있어 근본적인 부분이 취약성을 내포하고 있는 것과 같다. 그러므로 시스템 및 네트워크에 대한 새로운 보안 기법을 연구하기에 앞서 현재의 보안 솔루션들이 가지고 있는 우회공격과 같은 위험성을 해결하는 것 필수적이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 일반적으로 사용되는 보안 솔루션들에 대한 우회 공격 기술 분석 및 대응 방안에 관한 연구를 수행한다.

  • 소프트웨어 산업 사회에서는 현재까지 생산성 향상이라는 문제에 대한 여러 가지 방안들을 제시하고 있으며, 컴포넌트 기반 개발 프로세스 역시 생산성 향상에 대한 않은 가능성을 제시하고 있다. 하지만 현실적으로 컴포넌트간의 호환 및 상호 운용에 대한 않은 문제점들을 내포하고 있으며, 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제점들을 해결하기 위한 노력들 중의 하나로 OMG의 MDA(Model Driven Architecture) 기술을 이용하여 특정 도메인의 모델 변환(Model Transformation) 구조를 구현하고, 최적화된 개발 방법론을 적용한 실제 사례를 통하여 컴포넌트의 생산성 향상에 대한 결과를 측정하여 그 효과에 대해서 검증한다

전기투석에 의한 발효아미노산의 분리

  • 발효 아미노산을 분리하는 기존의 공정인 이온교환법에서 폐액 및 폐수처리에 따른 문제점을 해결하기 위한 새로운 분리공정으로 탈염 전기투석과 Water-splitting Electrodiaysis를 이용한 발효 아미노산의 분리 가능성 및 다양한 cell configuration과 막에 대한 성능 실험을 실시하였다. 실험결과 전기투석에 의해 경도물질을 제거한 후 양이온교환막과 bipolar 막으로 구성된 2-compartment WSED로 효과적으로 발효액에서 아미노산을 분리 할 수 있었으나 1가 양이온에 선택성을 지닌 양이온교환막으로는 아미노산의 분리가 어려움을 알 수 있었다.

  • 최근의 컴퓨터 교육은 컴퓨터의 개념과 원리의 이해보다는 단순히 응용프로그램의 사용법을 익히는 등 컴퓨터 활용 교육에만 치중하고 있다. 그러나 21세기 정보화를 이끌 인재양성을 위해서는 문제해결력과 논리적인 사고력을 기르는 컴퓨터 교육이 필수적이다. 이에 본 연구는 컴퓨터과학원리 중 검색 알고리즘에 대한 교수 학습방법을 설계해 초등학생을 대상으로 하여 학습이 가능한지 알아보고자 한다.

  • 본 고에서는 경년열화의 종류, 열화의 판정방법 등에 관한 일반사항과 열화 및 수명예측 문 제를 해결하기 위한 문제점등을 기술하였고, 그 동안 연구되어진 열화 현상에 의한 재료강도의 저하현상을 설명하였다. 또한 열화현상은 비파괴 판정만으로 수명예측이 어려우므로 시간에 따라 진행하는 열화의 진행곡선이 반드시 필요할 것이다. 이와 같이 열화진행 정도를 추정하기 위해 열화재의 가속제작 방법과 레이저 빔의 고온의 열원을 이용한 열화 치료 가능성을 제시 하였다. 아울러 열화치료에 대해 정도높은 방법에 제시된다면 기존 기계구조물을 안전하고, 지속적으로 사용하여 경제적인 손실을 줄일 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.
