Nowadays, the third-party logistics is getting special attention as one of the most useful ways to perform the logistics management effectively. In this current trend, however, there are many firms which carry out the logistics activities by themselves and strengthen the competitiveness. In respect of contingency theory, the firms' logistics management types should depend on their logistics environment and characteristics, and then the logistics performances vary with this suitability. In this context, this study analyzed empirically the difference of the logistics performances due to the fitness between their logistics characteristics and the management types. According to the finding, the study showed that the third-party logistics is more suitable when the importance and weight of logistics operation and the weight of their export are greater respectively, and the self-logistics is more suitable when the logistics cost is higher. Futhermore, the study indicated that the firms whose relationship between the characteristics and the management types is fit in their logistics are better than the others in the outcome of logistics cost reduction and the effectiveness of logistics operation.

On-line consumers have some visit behavior characteristics when they visit internet-shopping mall between visit-stage and purchase-stage. Therefore, information of on-line consumers have influenced on internet-shopping mall's profitabilities at site manager's perspectives. For examples, Are any on-line consumers continuous visiting under any situations? Or are any on-line consumers purchased on any specific internet-shopping mall? Expecially in this paper, researcher tried to understand visit behavioral characteristics of on-line consumers using two-stage mixture regression analysis. Throughout this process, it could be proposed method, which could be reinforced competitiveness of internet-shopping mall by segmental decision-making method. Additionally, it is expected that visit behavioral characteristics' information could be supplied strategic implications between visit-stage and purchase-stage Throughout empirical test it could be proved two-stage decision-making process, which decision-making process of on-line consumers would be processed visit-stage and purchase-stage. In this study, researcher proposed suitable response strategy after understanding visiting behavioral characteristics of on-line consumers. This paper has some academical contributions, which visit behavioral characteristics of on-line consumers could be grasped the meaning by site stickiness and navigation pattern.

다수의 사고가 발생되는 소형 선박에 반해 대형 선박을 위주로 제공되고 있는 스마트 해상 물류 시스템을 뒷받침하기 위하여 소형 선박에서 자주 발생할 수 있는 사고의 유형과 그 예상 확률을 제공하는 시스템을 연구하고 제공한다. 로지스틱 분류를 통해 사고의 확률을 예측하며 추천 알고리즘을 활용한 발생 가능성이 높은 사고의 유형을 도출하여 소형 선박용 e-navigation 을 제공한다.

The results of investigations into marine incidents have become an important basis in determining not only possible causes, but also the extent of negligence between the perpetrator and victim. However, marine incidents occur under special circumstances i.e. the marine environment, and this leads to difficulties in identifying causes due to problems in scene preservation, reenactment and acquisition of witnesses. Given the aforementioned characteristic of marine incidents, the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) has adopted mandatory regulations on the carriage of Voyage Data Recorders (VDRs) and Automatic Identification Systems (AIS) for ships of a certain gross tonnage and upwards, so as to reflect recent developments in radio communication and marine technology. Adopted to provide an international standard for investigations and to promote cooperation, the Code of the International Standards and Recommended Practices for a Safety Investigation into a Marine Casualty or Marine Incident (Casualty Investigation Code) recommends member states to build capacity for analysis of VDR data. Against this backdrop, this paper presents methods for efficient investigations into the causes behind marine incidents based on data analysis of VDR, which serves as the black box of ships, as well as digital forensic techniques.

NSW in Australia is famous for beautiful beaches and water activities. There are now almost 450,000 people who hold a NSW power boat driving licence and 200.000 registered boat owners. The popularity of boating continues to grow with licence and registration figures increasing by 3-4 per cent each year. This is a survey about the guide book for boating licence in NSW. This study outlines the essential information such as the types of licence, registration of vessels, choosing the right boat, maintain vessel, safety equipment and preparing for a safe boating trip. In addition, it touches the technical side like boat handling, water traffic rules, navigation markers, emergency and the ways to avoid them. Recently, more and more people are interested in boating. It forms an important part of recreational and tourism activities. To manage these demands effectively and to provide the orderly and safe leisure hours, it is necessary to induce more organizational and serviceable boating licence system.

Most web portals provide a web directory service which selects and classifies web sites according to their subject matter. In order to investigate the directory access behavior of general Korean web users, this study analyzes directory access logs of NAVER, a major Korean web search engine. This study suggests a methodology to classify the total sessions into six different session types. This study also discusses directory access behaviors of the NAVER users by examining the distribution of sessions according to session types, the lengths of navigation within a session, and the most frequently visited categories. It is expected that this study could contribute to the development of more effective web directory services.

This paper analyzed productivity of quay cranes on container terminal that have perpendicular yard layout block. In most existing container terminals, quay cranes of single trolley type are used to loading and unloading containers, but quay crane productivity of these type has many limitation about large size containership. For these reasons, recently quay cranes of various type that mn improve productivity are developed and as the representative example, dual trolley, double trolley, supertainer are developing. These cranes are realized that very high productivity bemuse their cycle time is short more than existent single trolley quay crane. Therefore, we analyzed productivity of these cranes that are realized by next generation crane alternatives and as result qf this research, mechaniml productivity by cycle time and net productivity by simulation were measured.

A contract for shipbuilding is usually a complicated process and involves a statement of rights, and obligations and responsibilities to which each party agrees vis-a vis the other. Most countries are now well settled with regard to liability of a manufacturer in tort for physical injury and on the other hand, for pure economic loss to remote owners of chattels. Where there is a breach of either contractual warranty or an implied warranty, there may be admiralty jurisdiction, depending once again on the situs of the event and its relationship to traditional maritime activity. First of all, this thesis deals with the contents of contract under English Law. Secondly, this thesis analyse ' s the liability of shipbuilders in Products Liability under English, United States, German and korean Law comparisons. In conclusion, the author gives some suggestions as countermeasures to Products Liability for the shipbuilders in Korea.

Maritime safety and marine environmental protection are the most important topic in marine society. But, so many marine accidents have been occurred with the development of marine transportation industry. On the other side, ship is being operated under a highly dynamic environment and many factors are related with ship's collision Nowadays, the increasing tendency to the human errors of ship's collision is remarkable, and the investigation of the human errors has been heavily concentrated. This study analysed on the human errors of ship's collision related to the negligence of lookout and classified basic error type using GEMS(Generic Error Modeling System) dynamic model.

The purpose of this paper is to analyze transport ability of Automated Guided Vehicle(AGV) and Double Stack Vehicle(DSV) at Automated Container Terminal(ACT). Usually, the main difference of AGV and DSV is capacity of container that they can transport between apron and yard block at once. AGV can carry out two 20 feet or one 40 feet maritime containers, but DSV can carry out four 20 feet or two 40 feet maritime containers. Therefore, DSV may improve more efficiency of stevedoring system of container terminal. In this paper, a simulation model using a graphics simulation system is developed to compare the proposed DSV with the current AGV at automated container terminal. The paper includes examples, performance tests and a discussion of simulation results.
