  • 선박 운항 자동화 시스템은 선내 노동력 감소, 작업 환경 개선, 운항 안전성 확보 및 운항 능률의 향상을 목표로 하며, 궁극적으로는 운항 경제성확보를 위한 승선 인원의 최소화에 그 목적이 있다. 최근에는 적응 제어방법 등을 응용하여 선박의 비선형성을 보상하여 선박의 회두각 유지제어(Course Keeping Control), 항로 추적제어(Track Keeping Control), 롤-타각제어(Roll-Rudder Stabilization), 선박 위치제어(Dynamic Ship Positioning), 선박자동 접이안(Automatic Mooring Control) 등에 관한 연구를 수행하고 있으며 실제의 선박으로 대상으로 응용연구가 진행 중이다. 선박은 Steering Machine에 의해 조정되는 Rudder angle과 선박의 회두각의 관계는 비선형적이며, 선박의 Load Condition은 선박의 Parameter에 영향을 주는 비선형적인 요소로서 작용한다. 또한 외란요소인 파도의 유속(流速)과 방향, 풍속과 풍량 등이 비선형적인 형태로 작용하므로 선박의 운항을 힘들게 하는 요인이 된다. 따라서 선박의 운항시스템에는 비선형성을 극복할 수 있는 강인한 제어 알고리즘을 요구한다. 본 논문에서는 퍼지 알고리즘을 이용하여 선박의 비선형적인 요인 및 외란을 극복할 수 있는 선박의 자율운항 시스템을 설계하고 시뮬레이션을 통해 그 결과를 살펴보았다.

Factors Affecting Clinical Course of BCG Lymphadenitis (BCG 림파선염의 경과에 영향을 미치는 인자들에 대한 연구)

  • Purpose : Lymphadenitis is the most common complication of BCG vaccination and has various clinical course and prognosis, but there are no accurate guidelines for management of BCG lymphadenitis. We performed this study to reveal the clinical course of BCG lymphadenitis and provide guidelines for its management. Methods : From January, 1997, to May, 2000, 73 patients in the 3~24 months were enrolled. We investigated retrospectively the size, site, and number of lymphadenitis, tuberculin skin test induration, used BCG strains, vaccination age, injection site, treatment and clinical course. The effects of various variables on clinical course were evaluated. Results : 1) There were no statistically significant difference between lymphadenitis size and tuberculin test induration diameter, spontaneous resolution rate, and suppuration rate. 2) Later vaccination(${\geq}1$ mo) and supraclavicular lymphadenitis increased suppuration rate. Using domestic BCG product increased surgical treatment rate. 3) According to treatment(observation vs antituberculous medication), medication did not affect the prevention of suppuration and ironically increased the rate of suppuration and surgical treatment. 4) Suppurative lymphadenitis required more surgical treatment than non-supurative one. Conclusions : Clinical course of BCG lymphadenitis is affected by vaccination age, used BCG strains, site of lymphadenitis, antituberculous medication and suppuration, but not affected by size and number of lymphadenitis. For management of BCG lymphadenitis, systemic antituberculous medicaion is not recommended and regular follow up with observation should be the mainstay. But for suppuration, active surgical en bloc resection should be the treatment of choice.

Mini-transposon을 사용한 단백질의 세포내 분포 결정

  • Tn3 Transposon을 이용한 Shuttle Mutagenesis방법으로 효모의 Genome 상에 무작위적으로 $\beta$-gal 표지 유전자를 삽입하고 효모생활사의 각 세포시기 마다 특이하게 발현되는 유전자를 X-Gal plate상에서 찾아내고 이들 효모 유전자의 단백질이 세포내에 어떤 위치에 분포하는가를 간접 면역현미경법으로 추적해보았다. 먼저 효모의 genomic library를 38bp의 Tn3 Termial repeat를 가지고 있지 않은 pHSS6 Vector에 patial fill-in 방법으로 조성하였으며 최종적으로 20 Genome equivalent에 해당하는 18개 Pool의 genomic library를 만들었다. 이들 library를 조사하여 본 결과 모든 클론이 평균 3kb 크기의 insert를 가지고 있었으며 이는 99.99%의 효묘 genome을 대표하였다. 특정한 유전자의 발현을 알아보기 위해 먼저 mini-Tn3로 shuttle mutagenesis를 실시하고 vegetative growth동안 발현되는 유전자를 X-gal을 사용하여 골라내었다. 지금까지 16823개의 클론을 조사하였는데 이중 13%에 해당하는 2187개가 X-gal plate상에서 양성반응을 보여주었다. 양성반응을 보여주는 융합단백질의 세포내 분포틀 anti-$\beta$-galactosidase 항체를 사용하여 추적해보았다. 항체론 이용한 형광염색결과 약 70%의 세포가 background이상의 염색을 보여주었으며 이중 novel한 염색 pattern을 나타내는 클론도 다수 탐지되었다. 이상의 결과를 종합하면 Tn3틀 이용한 Shuttle Mutagenesis 방법으로 지금까지 전통적인 유전학적인 접근 방식으로 탐지되지 않았던 다수의 새로운 효모 유전자를 찾아낼 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.tamine제중 triprolidine이 $K_{M}$ /K$_{H}$ 비가 가장 높았고 diphenidol이 가장 낮았다. 이상의 결과로 보아 항 histamine제의 muscarinic receptor 차단작용은 이들 약물의 항 alleragy 효과에 필요한 작용이 아니며 본 실험에서 추정된 항 histamine제의 H$_1$-receptor와 muscarinic receptor에 대한 상대적 역가는 이들 약물의 선택과 평가에 중요한 지표가 될수 있을 것으로 생각된다.ing ischemic insults. Development of Safety Devices for Marine Leisure (해양레저 안전장비 개발)

  • This paper describes two kinds of personal hand-held electronic devices to support marine leisure safety. The one is Radar response-type safety device triggering by the pulse signal from a commercial 9GHz-band Radar to provide quick search and rescue with combined civilian-government-military fleets. The other one is M-RFID (Marine Radio Frequency IDentification) based safety electronic device using 900MHz Tx/Rx with spread spectrum frequency hopping and GPS. Through the field tests at sea using Korea Coast Guard's warship the operating performances are verified. Further plan for practical use of each device was also discussed.

  • 산업의 고도화가 진행됨에 따라 화학원료의 사용이 증가하고 있고 독성을 가진 화학물질이 하천으로 유입되는 사고가 빈번하게 발생하고 있다. 수환경으로 유입되는 유해화학물질은 주로 무색무취의 물질들로 사고가 발생하더라도 초기 발견이 어려워 어류폐사를 유발하거나 취수시설에서 용수로 취수되는 경우가 발생하기 때문에 이에 대한 대응책 마련이 필수적이다. 하천에 유입된 오염물질의 거동을 신속하게 예측하기 위해 1차원 오염물질 추적 모형이 활용되는데, Fickian 이송-분산 모형(Fickian Advection-dispersion equation model; FADE)이 주로 사용되고 있다. 하지만 FADE는 오염물질이 하천 저장대에서 지체되는 현상을 반영하지 못하기 때문에 농도곡선의 왜곡도를 구현하지 못하는 단점을 가지고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 하천저장대모형(River Storage Model; RSM)을 개발하고 이를 국가하천인 감천에 적용하였다. 본 연구에서 개발한 RSM은 분산계수, 본류대 면적, 저장대 면적, 저장대 교환계수의 네 가지 매개변수를 통해서 하천의 물질 저장 및 교환 특성를 구현한 non-Fickian 모형으로서, 생화학반응, 휘발, 흡·탈착항을 추가하여 유해화학물질의 혼합 거동을 정확하게 모의할 수 있도록 개발하였다. 저장대 모형의 매개변수를 산정하기 위해서 하천 유량과 지형자료를 기반으로 HEC-RAS를 모의하여 계산된 수리특성을 입력변수로 사용하였다. 저수기, 평수기, 풍수기 유량을 기준으로 세 경우의 시나리오 모의를 수행하였는데, 5ton의 톨루엔이 김천산업단지에서 감천으로 유입된 경우 약 20km 하류에 위치한 취수장에서 톨루엔의 농도변화를 예측했다. 보존성 물질에 대한 모의 결과, 풍수기의 경우 저수기에 비해 유속이 크기 때문에 취수장에서 20.56시간 먼저 기준농도에 도달하고, 7.21시간 더 짧게 머무는 것으로 나타났다. 유해화학물질의 반응특성에 대한 민감도 분석을 시행한 결과, 생화학적 반감기가 18.98시간보다 길고, 옥탄올-물 분배계수가 2.267 이하인 물질은 생분해 및 흡·탈착 반응에 둔감한 것으로 나타났다. 1m 수심 기준 0.114m/s 이하 유속에서의 하천 수리조건에서는 화학물질의 휘발성을 무시할 수 있는 것으로 밝혀졌다.

A study of ubiquitous-RTLS system for worker safety (작업자 안전관리를 위한 유비쿼터스-실시간 위치추적시스템 연구)

  • At the industrial work site, the manufacturing process is being automated to improve work efficiency. However, it is often difficult to automate the entire manufacturing process, and there are spaces in which workers there are constantly exposed to danger. To protect such workers from the danger, this paper studied a worker safety management system for the industrial work site which uses a location recognition system and which is based on the Ubiquitous-Wireless Sensor Network (U-WSN). Using wireless signals, the distance between two devices can be measured and the location of a worker can be calculated using triangularization in 3-D. But at the industrial work sites where there are a lot of steel and structures, errors occur due to signal reflection and multi-path, etc., which makes it difficult to get the accurate location. To address this problem the following was done: first, a circular polarization patch antenna appropriate to the work site was used to reduce the degree of error that may occur from the antenna emission pattern and the particular Line of Sight (LOS); second, a 3-D localization technique and a filtering algorithm were used to improve the accuracy of location determination. The developed system was tested by using it on a wharf crane to validate its accuracy and effectiveness. The proposed location recognition system is expected to contribute greatly in ensuring the safety of workers at industrial work sites.

Real-time position tracking of traffic ships by ARPA radar and AIS in Busan Harbor, Korea (부산항에서 ARPA 레이더와 AIS에 의한 통한선박의 실시간 위치추적)

  • This paper describes on the consolidation of AIS and ARPA radar positions by comparing the AIS and ARPA radar information for the tracked ship targets using a PC-based ECDIS in Busan harbor, Korea. The information of AIS and ARPA radar target was acquired independently, and the tracking parameters such as ship's position, COG, SOG, gyro heading, rate of turn, CPA, TCPA, ship s name and MMSI etc. were displayed automatically on the chart of a PC-based ECDIS with radar overlay and ARPA tracking. The ARPA tracking information obtained from the observed radar images of the target ship was compared with the AIS information received from the same vessel to investigate the difference in the position and movement behavior between AIS and ARPA tracked target ships. For the ARPA radar and AIS targets to be consolidated, the differences in range, speed, course, bearing and distance between their targets were estimated to obtain a clear standards for the consolidation of ARPA radar and AIS targets. The average differences between their ranges, their speeds and their courses were 2.06% of the average range, -0.11 knots with the averaged SOG of 11.62 knots, and $0.02^{\circ}$ with the averaged COG of $37.2^{\circ}$, respectively. The average differences between their bearings and between their positions were $-1.29^{\circ}$ and 68.8m, respectively. From these results, we concluded that if the ROT, COG, SOG, and HDG informations are correct, the AIS system can be improved the prediction of a target ship's path and the OOW(Officer of Watch) s ability to anticipate a traffic situation more accurately.

Application of Side Scan Sonar to Disposed Material Analysis at the Bottom of Coastal Water and River (해저 및 하저 폐기물의 분석을 위한 양방향음파탐사기의 적용)

  • Due to the growth of population and industrial development at the coastal cities, there has been much increase in necessity to effective control of the wastes into the coastal water and river. The amount of disposal at those waters has been increased rapidly and it is necessary for us to track of it in order to keep the water clean. The investigation and research related to the water quality in this region have been conducted continuously but the systematic survey of the disposed wastes at the bottom was neglected and/or minor. In this study we surveyed the status of disposed waste distribution at the bottom coastal water and river from the scanned images. The intensity of sound received by the side scan sonar tow vehicle from the sea floor provides information as to the general distribution and characteristics of the superficial wastes. The port and starboard side scanned images produced from a transducer borne on a tow fish connected by tow cable to a tug boat have the area with width of 22m∼112m, and band of 44m∼224m. All data are displayed in real-time on a high-resolution color display (1280 ${\times}$ 1024 pixels) together with position information by DGPS. From the field measurement and analysis of the recorded images, we could draw the location and distribution of bottom disposals. Furthermore, we made a database system which might be fundamental for planning the waste reception and process control system.

  • In the field of computer graphics, Navier-Stokes equations would be used for realistic simulations of smokes and currents. However, implementations derived from these equations are hard to achieve for real-time simulations, mainly due to its massive and complex calculations. Thus, there have been various attempts to approximate these equations for real-time simulation of smokes and others. When the advection terms of the equations are approximated by the Semi-Lagrange methods, the fluid density can be rapidly reduced and small-scale vorticity phenomena are easy to be missed, mainly due to the numerical losses over time. In this paper, we propose an improved numerical method to approximately calculate the advection terms, and thus eliminate these problems. To calculate the advection terms, our method starts to set critical regions around the target grid points. Then, among the grid points in a specific critical region, we search for a grid point which will be advected to the target grid point, and use the velocity of this grid point as its advection vector. This method would reduce the numerical losses in the calculation of densities and vorticity phenomena, and finally can implement more realistic smoke simulations. We also improve the overall efficiency of vector calculations and related operations through GPU-based implementation techniques, and thus finally achieve the real-time simulation.

Unilateral Pulmonary Vein Stenosis with Life-threatening Hemoptysis - A case report - (위급한 객혈을 동반한 일측성 폐정맥 협착증)

  • A case is described in a girl who presented with recurrent life-threatening hemoptysis at the age of 18 months, and had been diagnosed as atrial septal defect with severe cardiomegaly which was presumed to result in pulmonary vein stenosis at the age of 6 months. Closure of atrial septal defect was associated with decreased heart size and improved pulmonary venous flow. However, recurrent life-threatening hemoptysis occurred during follow-up, Computed tomography scan demonstrated left pulmonary vein stenosis and extrinsic compression of the left bronchus by multiple soft tissue density-masses. Exploratory thoracotomy revealed single stenotic left pulmonary vein, and flat left main bronchus compressed by multiple hypertrophied lymph nodes, Unexpected endotrachial tube bleeding during left hilar dissection mandated to proceed to left pneumonectomy, The patient's postoperative course was uneventful. Follow-up chest roentgenography revealed acceptable left hydrothorax without mediastinal shifting, Nevertheless, a long-term follow-up is necessary.
