대한민국 등대의 역사는 일제가 국외 침략을 목적으로 한반도에 설치한 것에서 시작되었다고 알려져 있다. 이러한 주장에 따르면 1903년 인천에 처음으로 등대가 설치된 이래 일제 강점기를 거치면서 근대적인 항로표지시스템이 구성되었다는 것이다. 그러나 이 점에 대해서는 좀 더 신중하게 고려할 필요가 있다. 국제 항구의 도시로서 그리고 초량왜관의 도시로서 부산은 15세기 초 이래로 한일 외교관계의 중심지였다. 그렇게 때문에 이미 오래전부터 부산에는 해상 국제교류를 위한 항만시설이 발달되었다. 그럼에도 불구하고 지금까지 해양에 관련된 역사자료가 부족하고 기초연구가 미비하여 올바른 역사를 정립하는 것이 어려운 실정이었다. 최근 들어서 부산해관 고문서의 번역이 마무리 되었고, 초량왜관 관련 고지도들을 집성한 자료가 편찬되면서 보다 객관적인 부산의 역사를 정립할 수 있게 되었다. 이러한 맥락에서 본 논문은 고지도와 문서들을 통하여 오래된 국제 항구도시 부산의 초량항에 초점을 두고 부산 등대의 기원에 관하여 고찰하고자 한다.

This study is change of the street space of the port city of Yokohama and the transformation process of the canal. modern port city Yokohama is a region that was responsible for the development of East-West maritime transport routes in Japan in the 17th century and the inland transportation through fishing villages and ports. it has also grown rapidly as a regional port and new port. In particular, through the revitalization of trade between foreign settlements and Japanese residents in the port area, the existing fishing area became a modern port city space. Yokohama went through the following process and grew into a modern port city. The construction of the port harbor and the maintenance of existing logistics functions, the formation of the central horizontal axis through maintenance of the fishing village, the construction of the logistics movement route to the inland area through the construction of the canal, the expansion of the horizon for fire prevention and fire restoration, The formation of a new settlement space according to the movement, the transformation of the existing religious axis by the combination of the elaboration and the introduction of modern transportation, and the spatial connection between the inland cities.

This study deals with analysing the growth prospect and development direction of Donghae city with two international ports. To do so, it is progressed, firstly, to examine the general discovery about port since the late nineteenth century, secondly, to unfold it's theory with Mukho and Donghae port as Donghae city development element as the central figure, thirdly, to analyse Donghae city as the important place of traffic, the location of industry and the resource base in a spatial planning side.

북항 재개발사업에 대한 기대와 관심은 항만시설의 기능성과 효용의 차원과 나란히 지역민의 정체성에도 깊이 뿌리닿아 있는 문제다. 이러한 의미에서 북항의 이슈와 함께 해항도시는 자신의 항구적 문화적 전통과 정체성을 어떻게 유지하며 발전시켜 나가는가라는 근본적이고도 광범위한 의문이 자연스럽게 제기된다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 논의의 확장과 심화를 위해, 독일 함부르크의 사례를 살펴볼 것이다. 함부르크의 슈파이허슈타트와 발린슈타트, 그리고 하펜시티는 도시를 의미하는 슈타트, 시티라는 명칭을 통해서 그 공간이 단지 하나의 건물, 장소에 머무르는 것이 아님을 암시하고 있다. 본 연구는 슈파이허슈타트의 경우는 함부르크 원도시와 일종의 제유법적 관계로서 읽고자 한다. 이러한 의미에서 슈파이허슈타트가 건설된 역사적 사회적 맥락을 논의하고, 이러한 맥락이 어떻게 공간적 시각적으로 확인될 수 있는가를 슈파이허슈타트와 원도심간의 교각을 통하여 확인해 볼 것이다.

Atmospheric pollutant emissions, mainly exhaust gas emissions from vessels, and the resultant social costs of pollution in the Korean harbor cities of Incheon, Mokpo, Gwangyang, Busan and Ulsan, are examined in this study, and the need for an emissions reduction plan is highlighted. Busan had several vessels entering its port, while Mokpo had few vessels, yet the vessels emission contribution was high in both the cities. Ulsan had world-class heavy-chemical industries, Gwangyang had steel mills and Incheon had a manufacturing industry and more vessels entering its port than Mokpo, yet the emission contribution was low in these cities. By calculating exhaust gas emissions from the vessels, it was found that CO₂ was the highest, followed by NOx and SOx. By vessel type, Busan, Ulsan, and Incheon had more oil tank vessels, Gwangyang had more cargo vessels, and Mokpo had more ferries. As a result of social cost, Busan paid the highest, while the highest emission was PM. The use of low-sulfur oil can directly reduce PM and, SOx emissions and indirectly reduce NOx emissions. However, in order to reduce high CO₂ emissions, only low-sulfur oil will not help. Therefore, the study suggested the need for reduction plan that use of fossil fuels, by using alternative maritime power (AMP).

Maritime air pollutants around port cities have gained a great deal of attention due to their direct impacts on regional air quality. This study aims to determine the geographical properties of sea/land breezes in different areas to discover overall ranges of maritime emission dispersion. The HOTMAC-RAPTAD modeling program was used to simulate regional-scale air dispersion considering non-linear and unsteady states during the general summer period for the target areas of the Yellow Sea (Incheon Port and Pyeongtaek·Dangjin Ports), archipelago region (Mokpo Port), South and East Sea (Busan and Masan Ports) and East Sea with mountainous area (Donghae·Mukho Ports). The resulting dispersion lengths of vessel emissions into the onshore regions around the target ports shed light on portal air quality management, because vessel emissions from the Incheon, Mokpo, Busan, and Donghae·Mukho ports were transported 27-31km (Western Seoul), 21-24km (Southern Muan), 20-26km (Gimhae and Yangsan), and 22-25km (Taebeak Mountains), respectively. Therefore, the results of this study provide useful data for regional air quality management and marine air pollution mitigation to improve the sustainability of port cities.
