Flow control using synthetic jet on NACA23012 (NACA23012익형에서 synthetic jet을 이용한 유동 제어)

  • NACA23012익형에 대하여 synthetic jet을 이용하여 박리 제어를 수행하였다. 공력특성의 향상을 위해 앞전 droop과 plain flap의 박리 부근에 synthetic jet을 위치시켰다. 고 받음각에서 앞전 박리의 발생으로 인한 실속을 앞전 droop의 작동과 이때 발생하는 앞전 박리를 synthetic jet으로 효과적으로 지연시킬 수 있고, 또한 실속 특성을 개선 할 수 있음을 확인하였다. 양력의 향상을 위하여 plain flap을 장착하였고, 이때 발생하는 박리를 synthetic jet으로 지연시켜 제어면의 작동 효율을 증가 시킬 수 있음을 확인하였다. 앞전 droop과 plain flap으로 구성된 간단한 고양력 장치에 발생하는 박리를 synthetic jet으로 제어함으로 실속을 지연시킴과 동시에 실속 특성을 향상시키고, 최대 양력의 증가로 fowler flap에 버금가는 공력특성을 확보할 수 있음을 확인하였다.

  • 본 논문에선 Binomial확률을 이용한 재전송 슬롯 선택방식과 충돌해결과정의 수정을 통하여 CSMA/CA 프로토콜을 항공용 VHF통신에 적합하게 변형시켰다. 일반적으로 CSMA/CA 프로세스는 경쟁 서비스에서 충돌이 일어났을 때 재전송 지연시간만큼 기다리게 되고 경쟁윈도우의 크기가 두 배로 커진다. 이로 인해 부하가 증가하면 지연시간이 커지고 처리량이 감소하며 이를 해결하기 위해 본 논문에선 충돌 플래그를 이용하여 본래의 CW의 크기 변화 과정을 변형시켰으며, CSMA/CA 전체 상태 천이 과정에서 충돌 시의 과정을 좀더 적게 거치도록 하였다. 시뮬레이션을 수행한 결과 부하가 증가하여도 처리량 및 지연 시간에 좋은 특성을 나타내었으며 제안된 프로토콜은 항공용 VHF 통신에 적합함을 확인하였다.

Analysis of Ionospheric Spatial Gradient Over Korea Using GPS Measurements (GPS를 이용한 한반도 상공 전리층 기울기 변화 분석)

  • Variations of mean ionospheric spatial gradient over Korea are analyzed in order to support GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) augmentation systems and integrity monitering systems. A software for analyzing the ionospheric spatial gradient is developed using an ionospheric plate model. Daily and annual variations of ionospheric delay and spatial gradient are analyzed using GPS data in 2003 and 2005 respectively. The ionospheric delays and spatial gradients in 2003 were larger than 2005. Also, the south-north gradient, about -1.0mm/km, is nearly two times larger than the east-west gradient. The annual ionospheric spatial gradients over Korea is varied within 2mm/km.

  • In this paper, a double gimbal is used for roll/yaw attitude control of spacecraft and two feedback controllers are designed. One is a PD controller of no phase difference between roll and yaw control input. The other is a PD controller with a phase lag compensator about the yaw control input. The phase lag compensator is designed a first order system and a lag parameter is designed for the control of yaw angle. There are two case simulations for each of controllers; constant disturbance torques and initial errors of nutation. We obtain the results through simulations that a steady-state error and a rising time of yaw angle are developed by the compensator. In this paper, simulation parameters use the values of KOREASAT 1.

  • In this paper, fault tolerant control for aircraft is being discussed. The authors propose a fault tolerant control algorithm based on time delay control. Time delay control is an effective method to deal with unknown dynamics. The proposed algorithm has no parameter to be updated and needs no prior information of faults. These are the primary advantages of the proposed method. The algorithm uses output feedback. The design and the stability condition are presented by following the existing proof. The proposed algorithms are verified by simulation examples.

A Study on the Center Hole of Korean Traditional Kite with Aspect Ratio 1:1.5 (가로세로비 1:1.5를 가진 한국 전통 지연의 방구멍에 대한 연구)

  • Korean traditional kite has the unusual shape of the elongated rectangle with the center hole. The aerodynamic forces are numerically computed on Korean traditional kite with aspect ratio 1:1.5 by using FLUENT software. Simulating the flight of the kite with various diameters of the center hole, the present study has investigated the role of the center hole as well as the effect of diameter of the center hole. The center hole plays a role in relieving the sudden increase of tension associated with fast rewinding of the kite thread in kite fighting, thereby enabling faster rewinding of the kite thread. The proper diameter of the center hole is 1/3 of the width.

  • The effects of weather on aircraft operations are predominant. In particular, severe weather, such as fog, strong winds, rainfall and snow, can cause delays, diversion or cancellation of operations. Of these, fog is considered the main reason for restricting aircraft operations. Meanwhile, Precision instrument approach using instrument landing system(ILS) has allowed aircraft to land safely even in situations where visibility is limited. However, the precision instrument approach require not only the performance of the aircraft but also the enhancement of the runway. In November 2018, Gimpo international Airport raised the category of the runway 14R from CAT-IIIa to CAT-IIIb to improve aviation safety and operational efficiency. Based on this, the research presented a methodology for estimating benefits according to the category upgrade of the precision approach runway, and estimated the benefits to Gimpo International Airport based on the methodology presented.
