  • 일반석유제품에 비해 특이한 사용목적및 특성을 갖는 전기절연유는 유입전기기의 절연및 냉각용으로 장기간에 걸쳐 사용되어 왔다. 최근에 이르러서는 전기기기의 고전압화, 대용량화 추세에 따라 절연유에 대한 요구특성도 더욱 가혹하게 되었으며 이 요구특성을 만족시키기 위하여 부단한 연구와 노력이 뒤따라 현시점에서는 특고압및 초고압 전기기기의 수요에도 대응하게 되었다. 한편, 선진외국에서는 광유계 절연유와는 별도로 합성절연유의 개발이 활발히 진행되고 있는 실정이다. 본란에서는 현재 주종을 이루고 있는 광유계 전기절연유가 갖는 특성및 취급상 유의점을 기술하고저한다.

Insulation Properties and Evaluation of Diglycerol Ester Synthesized by Solid Acid Catalysts (고체산 촉매를 이용해 합성한 diglycerol ester의 전기절연 특성 및 평가)

  • The transformer is a static electrical device that transfers energy by inductive coupling. Then, heat is occurred at coils, inner transformer was filled with insulating oils for cooling and insulation. Although mineral oil as insulating oil has been widely used, it does not meet health and current environmental laws because it is not biodegradable. Therefore, in this study, the diglycerol ester was synthesized with diglycerol and fatty acids (oleic acid and caprylic acid) over various catalysts for insulating oil having biodegradability, high flash points and low pour points. The sulfated zirconia ($SO_4{^{2-}}/ZrO_2$) catalyst prepared at different calcination temperature shows the highest conversion of fatty acids at $600^{\circ}C$ due to crystallinity and high density of acid sites per surface area. When the molar ratio of oleic acid and caprylic acid is 1:3, the diglycerol ester shows superior insulation properties that are the flash point of $306^{\circ}C$ and pour point of $-50^{\circ}C$. The insulation properties of synthesized diglycerol ester shows the pour point of $-50^{\circ}C$ and the flash point of over $300^{\circ}C$. Therefore, diglycerol ester is superior to the vegetable oils in insulation properties.

Electrical properties of insulating oils for automobile ignition coil (자동차 점화코일용 절연유의 전기적 특성)

  • In this paper, the physical and electrical properties of the synthetic fluids No. 2 class Ⅶ used the insulating oils for automobile ignition coil are studied. Also, benzotriazole(BTA) as the streaming electrification suppressant additive is added to the oil, and the change of physical and electrical properties due to different BTA concentration is investigated. To investigate the electrical characteristics, the breakdown strength of each specimen by an experiment for AC breakdown and the changes of conductivity by measuring volume resistivity are analyzed. It is considered that the effective content of BTA as charge suppressant additive is about 10[ppm] from the results of AC breakdown and volume resistivity test.

  • Mineral electrical insulating oil, which is widely used in transformers, exhibits excellent cooling performance and transformer efficiency. However, given that it is composed of petroleum-based components, it is weak in terms of biodegradability. This causes environmental problems in case of leakage and a low flash point, which is a factor that would cause great damage in the event of a fire in a substation. In this context, the use of eco-friendly electric insulating oil composed of bio-based vegetable oil and synthetic ester, which has excellent biodegradability and flame retardancy performance, has recently been expanded to the field of electric power, and various research and development (R&D) studies are in progress. According to different research results, vegetable oil and synthetic ester manufacturing technology, thermal stability, oxidation stability, property change, and quality control, which are characteristics of eco-friendly electrical insulating oils, are major factors affecting the maintenance of insulating oil properties. In addition, power companies have established and operated quality control standards according to the use of eco-friendly electrical insulating oil as they expand the exploitatoin of renewable energy in electricity production. In particular, deterioration and oxidation characteristics were jointly identified in R&D as an important influencing factor according to the content of saturated and unsaturated fatty acids present in vegetable oils and synthetic esters in power transformer applications.

Homogeneous Incorporation of Dimethylsiloxane into Polymethylsilsesquioxane (Dimethylsiloxane의 균일 도입에 의한 PMSSQ의 인성 강화)

  • 다양한 구조를 갖는 polysilsesquioxane은 열적, 전기적, 기계적 성질이 우수하여 차세대 고집적 반도체용 저 유전율 층간 절연막 재료로 부각되고 있으며, 유/무기 하이브리드 재료로 많은 연구 대상이 되고 있다. 그러나 PMSSQ(polymethylsilsesquioxane)는 취성으로 인한 반도체 제조의 CMP 공정에서 미세 크렉 발생의 위험이 있으므로 막의 인성 강화가 요구되고 있다. 이를 위하여 PMSSQ의 취성을 보완하기 위한 목적으로 선형 분자인 dimethylsiloxane을 10-20mo1% 도입하고자 하였다. 이때 도입된 dimethylsiloxane기가 PMSSQ에 균일하게 분포하지 않으면 실리콘 기판에 코팅 후 약 43$0^{\circ}C$의 열처리 공정 중에 열분해 되는 위험이 있다. 이에 따라 본 연구에서는 dimethylsiloxane기의 열분해에 의한 문제를 최소화하기 위하여 출발 물질인 MTMS(methyltrimethoxysilane)와 DMDMS(dimethyldimethoxysilane)과의 가수분해 속도차이를 고려한 단계(step) 반응법과 MTMS 와 DMDES(dimethyldiethoxysilane)를 사용한 리간드 교환법(ligand exchange)으로 dimethylsiloxane이 PMSSQ에 도입된 공중합체를 합성하였다. 각 합성 방법에 따라 합성된 공중합 PMSSQ의 특성을 TGA, TG-IR, $^1$H-NMR, $^{29}$ Si-NMR과 in-situ IR을 통하여 분석하였다. 또한 dimethylsiloxane 도입 양 및 상기 제조 방법에 따라 합성한 공중합체를 Si 기판위에 코팅하여 43$0^{\circ}C$에서 열처리한 후 코팅막의 강도, 두께 및 굴절율 변화를 ellipsometry 와 nanoindenter로 분석하였다.

Study on the Condensation Reaction of Alkyl Glycidyl Ethers and Fatty Acids (알킬 글리시딜에테르와 지방산의 축합반응 연구)

  • A convenient procedure for the synthesis of fatty acid diesters was studied. Long chain diesters have been used as biolubricant and transformer oils. The series of octyl, dodecyl, hexadecyl, octadecyl, and octadec-9-enyl glycidyl ether were used to synthesize those diesters. Alkyl glycidyl ethers were reacted with fatty acid such as oleic acid and octanoic acid, and octanoic acid. The one-step / two-step reactions were compared during the condensation reaction. The products were confirmed by $^{1}H-NMR$, FT-IR, and HR/MS spectra. The yield of the product 1-O-acyl-2-O, 3-O-dioctadec-9-enoylglycerol was 55~60%.

Synthesis and Characterization of Soybean-based Ester Insulation Oils (대두유 에스테르계 절연유의 합성과 분석)

  • Electrical insulation is one of the most important parts in a high voltage apparatus. Traditionally mineral oils and synthetic esters have been widely used as dielectric coolants for power transformers. Recently, researchers are interested in the environmentally friendly vegetable oil from the environmental viewpoint. This paper reports on the synthesis and characterization of soybean based ester oils. Two different types of soybean based transformer oils, named as methyl ester and isopropyl ester were synthesized. The synthesis of these esters was achieved by transesterification reactions between soybean oil and alcohol in the presence of catalyst. The GC and NMR spectroscopic analysis of the esters have been performed. It was observed that isopropyl ester has better thermal resistance than methyl ester by TGA. Also, two esters have a good breakdown voltage and electrical resistance.
