Adsorption characteristics for $CO_2$ separation in syngas (합성가스 내의 $CO_2$ 분리를 위한 흡착 특성 연구)

  • 석탄, 폐기물 등 다양한 시료의 가스화 반응을 통해서 발생되는 합성가스는 CO, $H_2$, $CO_2$가 주성분으로 가스엔진, 가스터빈 등의 연료로 사용하여 발전하거나 합성반응을 통해 다양한 화학원료로의 전환이 가능하다. 합성가스를 가스엔진, 가스터빈, 연료전지등의 연료로 사용하는 경우는 고효율 발전이 가능하여 기존 연소방식의 발전과 비교하여 단위 전력 생산량 당 $CO_2$의 배출량이 감소 되며, 여기에 $CO_2$ 분리공정을 적용하면 $CO_2$ 배출량 감소효과를 극대화 할 수 있다. 화석연료의 연소 및 가스화 반응을 통해서 발생하는 이산화탄소의 분리에 대한 많은 연구가 진행되고 있으나, 본 연구에서는 흡착방식을 이용한 합성가스 내의 이산화탄소 분리를 위하여 흡착제를 이용한 이산화탄소의 흡착, 탈착 성능 분석 연구를 수행하였다. 합성가스내의 이산화탄소를 분리하기 위한 흡착제로는 NaX 계열의 zeolite를 이용하였으며, 가스화 반응을 통해 발생한 합성가스를 흡착제에 통과시켜 이산화탄소의 선택적 흡착 여부를 확인하였다. 또한 TPD(Temperature Programmed Desorption)방법을 이용하여 흡착제의 이산화탄소 흡착 성능을 분석하였다.

  • The basis principle of conservation about deterioration and corrosion of cultural assets building is the archetype maintenance, and should not make a factitious damage mistake by repair. Accordingly, conservation processing method using synthetic resins is embossed. The purpose of this paper is about flexural capacity of rectangular section wood using synthetic resins, the 11 specimens are manufactured and made an experiment about reinforcement length, ratio, material strength, direction of synthetic resins as variable. The results of this paper has shown that flexural reinforcement of wood by synthetic resins are efficient and found the possibility of using.

Effects of Composite Floor Slab on Seismic Performance of Welded Steel Moment Connections (철골모멘트 용접접합부의 내진성능에 미치는 합성슬래브의 영향)

  • Traditionally, domestic steel design and construction practice has provided extra shear studs to moment frame beams even when they are designed as non-composite beams. In the 1994 Northridge earthquake, connection damage initiated from the beam bottom flange side was prevalent. The upward moving of the neutral axis due to the composite action between steel beam and floor deck was speculated to be one of the critical causes. In this study, full-scale seismic testing was conducted to investigate the side effects of the composite action in steel seismic moment frames. The specimen PN700-C, designed following the domestic connection and floor deck details, exhibited significant upward shift of the neutral axis under sagging (or positive) moment, thus producing high strain demand on the bottom flange, and showed a poor seismic performance because of brittle fracture of the beam bottom flange at 3% story drift. The specimen DB700-C, designed by using RBS connection and with the details of minimized floor composite action, exhibited superior seismic performance, without experiencing any fracture or concrete crushing, almost identical to the bare steel counterpart (specimen DB700-NC). The results of this study clearly indicate that the beams and connections in seismic steel moment frames should be constructed to minimize the composite action of a floor deck if possible.

Spatial merging of satellite based soil moisture and in-situ soil moisture using conditional merging technique (조건부 합성방법을 이용한 위성관측 토양수분과 지상관측 토양수분의 합성)

  • This study applied conditional merging (CM) spatial interpolation technique to obtain the satellite and in-situ composite soil moisture data. For the analysis, 24 gages of hourly in-situ data sets from the Rural Development Administration (RDA) of Korea and the satellite soil moisture data retrieved from Advanced Microwave Scanning Radiometer-Earth observing system (AMSR-E) were used. In order to verify the performance of the CM method, leave-one-out cross validation was used. The cross validation result was spatially interpolated to figure out spatial correlation of the CM method. The results derived from this study are as follow: (1) The CM method produced better soil moisture map over Korean Peninsula than AMSR-E did for the over 100 days out of total 113 days considered for the analysis. (2) The method of CM showed high correlation with gage density and better performance on the western side of Korean peninsula due to high spatial gauge density. (3) The performance of CM is not affected by the non-rainy season unlike to AMSR-E data is. Overall, the result of this study indicates that the CM method can be applied for predicting soil moisture at ungaged locations.

Experimental Study on Synthetic Jet Actuators for Separation Delay (유동 박리를 지연시키기 위한 합성제트 구동기 연구)

  • The size of commercial wind turbines has been increased. Generally, the pitch control is used to increase the efficiency of wind turbine. However, the pitch control has difficulty to control the local unsteady flow control which makes fatigue load and decreases the efficiency. In this research, Synthetic Jet Actuators(SJAs) are manufactured and applied into a wing section to delay flow separation and increase aerodynamic performances. The SJAs as a kind of zero-net mass-flux actuators injects and removes fluid through a small orifice with a given frequency. The SJA modules actuated by piezoelectric disks are manufactured and the aerodynamic performances are measured according to the shape of the orifice and the velocity of the jets through the wind tunnel test. It is confirmed that as the velocity of the jets are increased using rectangular shape orifice, drag force is decreased and lift force in increased.

  • This paper presents an experimental study on the flexural capacity of an encased(slim-floor) composite beam, which is a wider plate under bottom flange of H-beam with web openings. Five simple full-scale bending tests were conducted on the encased(slim-floor) composite beams at varying steel beam heights (250mm and 300mm), positions of web openings, and loading conditions. The test results revealed that the web-open encased composite beam had sufficient composite action, without any additional shear connection devices, because of the inherent shear-bond effects between the steel beam and the concrete, and a stable structural performance without web-opening reinforcements.

  • The steel-concrete composite column (i.e., the SC composite column) supports large-gravity loads and simplifies the installation and removal of the work in pouring the concrete. The column takes advantage of the in-plant prefabrication of steel, the speed of erection of a steel structure, and the fire resistance of steel. This paper presents the results of a parametric study using heat transfer analysis and a P-M interaction curve, and compares these results with the experimental results to check the accuracy of the proposed parametric studies. The parametric studies, such as the study of the concrete ratio of an area and the fire protection thickness, provide information on the fire resistance of SC composite columns.

An Effective Parallel Implementation of Sound Synthesis of Guitar using GPU (GPU를 이용한 기타의 음 합성을 위한 효과적인 병렬 구현)

  • This paper proposes an effective parallel implementation of a physical modeling synthesis of guitar on the GPU environment. We used appropriate filter coefficients and adjusted the length of delay line for each open string to generate 44,100 six-polyphonic guitar sounds (E2, A2, D3, G4, B3, E4) by using physical modeling synthesis. In addition, we analyzed the physical modeling synthesis algorithm and observed that we can exploit parallelism inherent in the length of delay line. Thus, we assigned CUDA cores as many as the length of delay line and effectively implemented the physical modeling synthesis using GPU to achieve the highest performance. Experimental results indicated that synthetic guitar sounds using GPU were very similar to the original sounds when we compared their spectra. In addition, GPU achieved 68x and 3x better performance than high-performance TI DSP and CPU, respectively. Furthermore, this paper implemented and evaluated the performance of multi-GPU systems for the physical modeling algorithm.

  • 포토리소그래피와 도금 공정을 통해 PbSe 나노와이어를 합성하였다. PbSe은 광센서 및 열전 물질로 많이 알려져있다. 이러한 응용처에의 향상된 성능을 위해 본 연구에서는 PbSe 나노와이를 합성하였다. 합성에 사용된 방법인 포토리소그래피와 도금 공정은 반도체 산업 전반에 인프라가 잘 구축된 공정이며, 병렬 공정이다. 따라서 본 연구는 경제적이며 대량생산이 가능한 PbSe 나노와이어의 합성법을 제안한다.

  • 본 논문에서는 JPEG 알고리즘을 이용하여 화상데이터를 부호화할때 디지털 서명문과 같은 기밀 데이터를 몰래 집어넣어 합성하는 방식에 대하여 고찰한다 그 기본원리는 DCT 계수를 양자화 할 때 필연적으로 생기는 오차를 이용하는 것으로 0이 아닌 양자화 계수를 합성하고자 하는 기밀데이터에 따라 근처의 정수로 조절하는 것이다. 이 방식을 SIDBA 표준화상에 적용하여 화상의 열화는 무시할 정도로 작으면서 원하는 크기의 기밀 데이터를 합성할 수 있음을 보인다. 또한, 화질의 열화를 최소화시키면서 일정량의 기밀 데이터를 합성시키기 위하여 블록당 1화소를 적절히 선택하여 제3자의 공격에 대한 안전성을 향상시키는 방법을 제시하고 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 통하여 성능을 분석한다.
