Development of Native Local Foods Associated with Regional Festival - Focused on Hampyeong "Butterfly Festival" - (지역 축제와 연계한 향토 음식 개발 방안 - 함평 "나비축제"를 중심으로 -)

  • This study was conducted to provide the information necessary for the development of native local foods associated with the "2008 World Insect Festival in Hampyeong" and to contribute to the efforts to market the festival as tourist attraction and increase the income of the local community. To assess the local foods and restaurants, we investigated the principal products, inclination for sightseeing and recognition of the "Butterfly festival" by distributing questionnaires to local restaurant operators, employees and general tourists. The result was as follows: 1. The general tourists chose scenery as the most important factor in a sightseeing tour, followed by food, lodging, and transportation. 2. The tourists enjoyed eating native local foods, and they indicated that the taste was important. 3. Regarding the cost of food, 53.6% of the respondents answer that 10 to 20 thousand won was a resonable price, and they also reported wanting to eat seafood in Hampyeong. Thus the Menu of seafood to be served at the Hampyeong festival needs to be developed first followed by that of the healthy food. This result showed that individuals prefer fish to meat and healthy food to high-calorie foods.

Soil Environmental Assesment by the Risk and Artificial Enrichment of Hampyeong District Soils (함평지역 토양의 위해성과 인위적 부화에 의한 토양환경평가)

  • Considering risks and artificial enrichments of metals in the soils of the study area, the study aims to analyze geology, grain size and geochemistry. Geology is mainly composed of gneisses and phyllites of metamorphic rocks, sandstones, siltstones, shales, tuffs of sedimentary ones and granites and andesites of igneous ones in the area. In the area, mean contents of metals are not meaningful in accordance with petrogenesis. The soil textures of the area are of S, lS and sL of sandy soil, L, scL, cL of loam and C, zC and sC of clayey soil. Mean contents of Ni, Cr, Co and Cu are meaningfully high in loam and clayey soil relative to sandy soil, whereas Ni, Zn, Cd contents are higher in clayey soil than in loam. Those differences imply the metallic contents are dependent to grain size. Based on the metal contents in the soils of the study area, Cu and Zn in loams and Pb in sandy soils are corresponded to soil contamination warning standards, and As showing 75mg/kg of maximum content in loams is assigned to soil contamination countermeasure standards, respectively. Artificial enrichment factor minimized wall rock and grain size relations is over 1 in Cr, Ni and Cu, but the factor is below 1 in average of other metals.

  • 선행연구를 통하여 평가된 지하수해안유출량에 대한 신뢰성분석을 유출량산정에 이용된 기초자료와 산정된 유출량에 대한 변화특성 및 불확실성분석을 통하여 수행하였다. 본 연구에서는 지역별, 연도별 그리고 계절별 지하수 해안유출량 변화특성을 분석하였으며 지하수 해안유출량의 변화는 지하수면 경사의 변화에 의하여 영향을 받음으로 지하수면 경사의 변화 특성으로부터 지하수 해안유출량 변화특성을 파악하였다. 그 결과, 상관성검정에서는 지표면 경사와 지하수면 경사는 양의 상관관계가 있음을 나타내었다. 지역별 차이는 있으나 지하수면 경사의 계절별, 연도별 차이는 나타나지 않음을 알 수 있었다. 지하수해안유출량을 산정하는데 필요한 자료 수가 정도 높은 계산을 하기에 충분하지 않아 산정된 유출량에 불확실성이 있다. 따라서 기존의 충분하지 않은 자료를 이용하여 산정한 지하수 해안유출량의 불확실성을 분석하였다. 자료의 분석결과, 주요 지역의 각 소유역별 지하수해안유출량의 불확실성은 $2%\sim42%$의 범위를 나타내었다. 각 소유역의 불확실성이 가장적은 지역은 영암지역 이고 각 소유역의 불확실성이 가장 큰 지역은 함평지역임을 나타내었다.

Analysis of Purification Capacity of Paddy Fields Using Nutrient Balance (논에서 영양물지 수지를 이용한 논 정화능력 분석)

  • In this study, the nutrient removal capacity of paddy field was investigated. Paddy field was considered as a constructed wetland. The present study was conducted during a cropping period in a rice cultivation area located in Hampyung-gun, Jeollanamdo, Korea. Water balance and mass balance of nutrients were estimated after intensive field monitoring. The surface runoff losses of T-N and T-P were 20.82 kg/ha and 1.55 kg/ha, respectively. The losses were 13.2% and 6.4% of T-N and T-P input into paddy fields, respectively. The results showed that the paddy fields have nutrient removal function.

  • 유출곡선지수(SCS-CN)를 사용하는 유역수문모형의 정확도를 향상시키기 위해서는 토지이용별 유출곡선지수가 잘 정의되어야한다. 하지만 논의 경우에는 유출곡선지수가 잘 정의되어 있지않다. 현재까지 연구된 논 CN number로는 경기지역의 조건을 반영한다. 본 연구에서는 영산강 수계와 섬진강 수계에 대한 논의 CN값을 추정하기위해 수문모니터링을 실시하였다. 시험지구는 영산강 수계 내에 위치한 전라남도 함평군 엄다면 화양리 학야지구와 섬진강 수계 내에 위치한 전라북도 순창군 적성면 고원리 적성지구로 2004년부터 2007년 영농기(5월$\sim$9월)동안 모니터링을 실시하였다. 두 시험지구에서 각각 강우량과 유출량을 조사하여 강우-유출 관계식을 유도하여 CN값을 산정하였다. 그 결과 CN-I, CN-II, CN-III 값은 학야지구에서 각각 65, 85, 94로 나타났고, 적성지구에서 각각 69, 89, 97로 나타났다. 이는 기존의 연구와 비교하여 CN-II값이 더 높은 것으로 나타났다.

The Study of Correlation between Objective Human Response and Subjective Discomfort Evaluation of Idle Vibration on Passenger Vehicle (승용차량 정차시 발생하는 진동에 대한 객관적 인체반응특성과 주관적 불편함평가의 상관성에 관한 연구)

  • Thirteen taxi drivers as the subject in the experiment were exposed to vertical vibration which is controlled on a rigid seat reflecting vibration on passenger vehicle. They were employed not only to get human response of objective measurement but also to make subjective evaluation of the vibration. The subjective evaluation was estimated using the absolute discomfort threshold of the controlled vibration, which was achieved with the three-down one-up method that is widely used in the field of psychophysics. As the result, apparent mass and apparent eccentric mass as objective human response tend to gradually decrease when frequency of the vibration increases. The absolute discomfort threshold was increased in case of increasing the frequency. Concludingly, the subjective discomfort evaluation is highly correlated with the objective human responses at the range of idle vibration on passenger vehicle.

  • This study is to develop tourist souvenir which designed image of butterfly, the symbol of Hampyeong Butterfly Festival, using natural dyeing product, the specialty of Namdo region. Results of market survey of tourist souvenirs for Hampyeong Butterfly festival showed that souvenirs of butterfly design sold in market which were not discriminated from that of general products and locality or characteristic of the region could not be exhibited. According to the results of market survey, design of souvenirs of Hampyeong Butterfly Festival is as follows; Butterfly pattern of hinge and Dangcho pattern are developed to graphic motive of modern sense with traditional beauty to make design which can be consumed by modern consumers in their actual life and then proper pattern is planned by combining, repeating and disassembling them. Such a pattern is applied to souvenirs like T-shirts, necktie and scarf to make tourists feel identity and unification of the festival visually. In addition, design of souvenirs was made to be coordinated with casuals. Therefore, visual factor could be extracted from Korean cultural heritages suitable to concept of local festivals and it is considered that ways of commercialization and development of traditional pattern suitable to consumers' demands can be suggested.

  • In the course of execution for Inventories and Management of Plant Resources of Korea, We found new habitats of 4 plant species which distribution ranges are obscure and/or extremely restricted. A subtropical fern distributed in Jeju-do, Woodwardia japonica (L. f.) Sm., was found in Mt. Gambang-san of Hampyeong-gun, Jeollanam-do. A saprophytic orchid, Galeola septentrionalis Reichb., was found in Mt. Ggachi-bong of Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do. Peristrophe japonica (Thunb.) Bremek., known in Jeollanam-do, was newly found in Mt. Mudeung-san of Gwangju-si. Viburnum furcatum Blume mainly distributed in Jeju-do and Ulleung-do was found in Mt. Jabyeong-san of Gangneung-si, Gangwon-do.
