The purpose of this research was to analyze the chinese chemistry terminology in chemistry unit of 7th grade science textbooks in 7th curriculum and find relationship between student understanding and difficulty index for chinese preferred students and non-chinese preferred students. The chinese terminology in 7th curriculum was reduced less than that of 6th curriculum but still was over 70%. Students had difficulties in understanding of abstract terminologies and science terms but thought easily the concrete, common terminologies. The tendency of student understanding was similar to that of difficulty index. For chinese chemistry terminology, understanding of chinese preferred students was higher than that of non-chinese preferred students. For easily translated chemistry terminology, there was no significant difference but both were showed the improved understanding. Therefore student understanding should be improved in science if science textbooks would be written by easily translated chemistry terminology.

본 연구는 한글 전용과 한자 혼용이 글의 이해 속도, 이해 정도, 내용의 기억에 어떤 영향을 미치는 가를 조사하기 위해 실시되었다. 한글 전용론과 한자 혼용론은 각각 나름대로의 논리를 가지고 서로 논쟁을 펼쳐왔다. 먼저 한글전용론의 주장을 살펴보면, 한자는 배우기 어렵고 쓰기도 불편해 쉽게 익힐 수 있는 한글을 사용해야 하며, 한자를 사용함으로 인해서 순 우리말의 발전이 방해를 받고, 글자 생활의 기계화와 출판 문화의 발달에 있어 한자는 이것을 어렵게 한다는 것이다. 반면에, 한자혼용론의 주장에 따르면, 한자말은 한자로 적을 때 그 의미의 파악이 빠르고 정확하고, 우리말 어휘의 절반 이상을 한자어가 차지하고 있으므로 한자를 가르치는 것이 국어교육의 지름길이고, 우리말에는 동음이의어가 많아서 한글로만 적을 경우 그 뜻을 식별하기 어렵고, 한자는 각 글자가 모두 뜻을 가지고 있으므로, 각각을 조합하여 새로운 의미의 단어를 쉽게 만들 수 있음은 물론이고 한글로 쓸 경우 길게 쓰여져야만 하는 것을 짧게 쓸 수 있다는 장점을 가지고 있으며, 한자를 쓰지 않으면 우리의 전통 문화를 이어 받을 수 없으며 한자를 공통으로 쓰고 있는 동양문화권에서도 고립을 초래할 수 있다는 것이다. 이렇게 한글전용과 한자혼용에 대한 의견이 다양한 만큼 우리나라의 한자에 대한 정책도 그 갈피를 잡지 못하고 계속 바뀌어 왔다. 독립이후 정부에서는 법령과 훈령 등으로 모든 공문서에서의 한자사용을 금지하고 일반 사회의 문자 생활에도 한글을 전용할 것을 권고하지만 이 지침은 결국 공문서에만 한정되어 왔고 후에는 이것조차도 유명무실해졌다. 또한 중고등학교의 한자교육 정책도 수차례 변화되어 한글만을 배운 세대가 사회에 나와 여전히 한자가 사용되고 있어 적응에 문제점을 가지기도 하였다. 본 연구에서는 그 동안 계속되어 온 한글과 한잔의 사용에 관한 논쟁을 언어심리학적인 연구 방법을 통해 조사하였다. 즉, 글을 읽는 속도, 글의 의미를 얼마나 정확하게 이해했는지, 어느 것이 더 기억에 오래 남는지를 측정하여 어느 쪽의 입장이 옮은 지를 판단하는 것이다. 실험 결과는 문장을 읽는 시간에서는 한글 전용문인 경우에 월등히 빨랐다. 그러나. 내용에 대한 기억 검사에서는 국한 혼용 조건에서 더 우수하였다. 반면에, 이해력 검사에서는 천장 효과(Ceiling effect)로 두 조건간에 차이가 없었다. 따라서, 본 실험 결과에 따르면, 글의 읽기 속도가 중요한 문서에서는 한글 전용이 좋은 반면에 글의 내용 기억이 강조되는 경우에는 한자를 혼용하는 것이 더 효율적이다.

As Chinese characters occupies more than 70% of words we currently use, the education of Chinese characters is becoming important day by day to accurately deliver the meaning of words in our language life. In recent, there are increasing concerns on writing Chinese characters correctly, especially the order of stroke, as well as memorizing the meaning and the sound of a character. Books and Internet contents on Chinese character writing is emerging. However, currently available Internet media on the Chinese characters education only illuminates recitation and interpretation. Even though some books contain the chapter concerning the order of stroke of a character, those only force simple repetitions. In this paper, we propose a design and implementation of teaming system for writing of Chinese character based on web which enables the user-directed teaming. Using the system, a user can manage the status of learning by oneself. Additionally, we can enhance the efficiency of learning by making users understood the correct reading and writing in Chinese character education.

In South Korea nowadays, Among the married immigrant women in Korea, the proportion of long-term residents living in Korea for more than 10 years is increasing continuously(48%), while the proportion of short-term residents who are under 5 years is decreasing(16%). However, Korean language education and related research in the Marriage and Immigration Women's Center are still focused on the initial immigrants. Therefore, we should classify married immigrant women according to their stay time in Korea, so that Korean language education and teaching materials need to be more diversified. This study focuses on married immigrant women with intermediate and advanced Korean proficiency and chooses a catalogue of Chinese characters idioms to explore the possibility and educational value of using Chinese characters Idioms in Korean education. According to the research results, Chinese characters idiom education can help married immigrant women in Korean language learning and information acquisition, interpersonal relationships and life attitudes, cultural understanding and social adaptation, child rearing and learning guidance. This is the important part of Korean language education that needs to be guided by married immigrant women. Based on this, 130 Chinese characters idioms in Korean language education and textbook development centered on married immigrant women were selected and catalogue edited in four stages. It is hoped that the results of this study will serve as a reference for Korean language education research and textbook development for married immigrant women in the future.

Writing a CAI program containing Chinese characters requires a common Chinese character code to share information for educational purposes. A Chinese character code setting needs to allow a mixed use of both vowel and stroke order, to represent Chinese characters in simplified Chinese as well as in Japanese version, and to have a conversion process for data exchange among different sets of Chinese codes. Waste in code area is expected when vowel order is used because heteronyms are recognized as different. However, using stroke order facilitates in data recovery preventing duplicate code generation, though it does not comply with the phonetic rule. We claim that the first and second level Chinese code area needs to be expanded as much as academic and industrial circles have demanded. Also, we assert that Unicode can be a temporary measure for an educational code system due to its interoperability, expandability, and expressivity of character sets.

본 연구에서는 현대에 빠르게 성장하고 있는 인터넷 사용자들과 홈페이지를 이용한 각종 정보의 활용 및 정보 통신망을 이용한 멀티미디어를 기반으로 한 서비스 산업화의 활성화 실현으로 인해 변화되고 있는 교육분야에 대응하여 한자를 배우고자 하는 학습자들에게 원격지에서 멀티미디어 요소를 웹 기반으로 하는 Edutainment식 한자학습을 구현하여 한자를 즐겁고 재미있게 학습할 수 있도록 구현하였다.

This study aims to consider the effects that the type of Chinese characters of "Kangxizidian(康熙字典)" manufactured under order of Emperor Kangxi(康熙) had on the type of Chinese characters on Korea from the latter part of Joseon(朝鮮) Dynasty to the present time, and to look for the meanings it has in the studies on history of Chinese characters science and character type science in Korea. "Kangxizidian" was introduced to Joseon on the 5th year of King Yeongjo(英祖)' reign(1729), the type of Chinese characters of had great influence on that of Chinese characters in Korea at that time. This can be seen from the fact that the types of Chinese characters written in "Hongmoojeongwoon(洪武正韻)", "Yeboowoonlaek(禮部韻略)", "Saengsaengjabo(生生字譜)", "Kyujangjeonwoon(奎章全韻)", "Jeonwoonokpien(全韻玉篇)", etc. which were published after King Yeongjo mostly included the character types of "Kangxizidian". Also, as seen from the fact that Ministry of Education specified that the character types of "Kangxizidian" shall be based for the standard of writing for 'basic Chinese characters for Chinese writing education' which were revised and proposed in 2000, the influence are said to be great until now. However, the concrete consideration of the effects that "Kangxizidian" has had on the type of Chinese characters in Korea and studies on its significance has been partially made, and it can be said that the studies thereof has not been made in earnest. This study was intended to make concrete studies on the effects of "Kangxizidian" on the types of Chinese characters in Korea and the insignificance, supplementing materials not dealt with in existing studies. The subjects of study by period which were dealt with in this study are as follows. In this paper, we reinforce data not covered in previous studies. And studies of "Kangxizidian" and the relationship between the type of Chinese characters in Korea characters and the influences of the past. Lastly, I showed the significance of the shape of the "Kangxizidian" to the modern Korean character shape of Korea.
