Analysis of Return Current for Rolling Stock Operation on Electrical Railroads (전기철도 구간에서의 철도차량 운행에 따른 귀선전류 분석)

  • Electrical Railroads provide electric power, which can operate vehicles, via feeder wires. And the supplied current returns to the transformer substation through lines and ground net. The return current, related to signal, power and power line, and track circuit systems, is one of the most important component in the electric railway. Therefore, to prevent system faults and breakdown according to unbalance and overcurrent of the return current, various and detailed analyses for the return current are needed. In the paper, we present measurement and analysis manners in real environment and evaluate its safety. For analysis, we utilize the measured values of return currents measured in track circuits in electric railway. we expect that this research plays a key role to the related fields.

Analysis on the current collection characteristics of the KHST in high speed range over 300km/h (300km/h이상 고속대역에서 한국형 고속열차의 집전특성 분석)

  • The Korean High Speed Train(KHST) had been developed and evaluating on the Kyoung-Bu High Speed Line by through 'G7-R&D project'. In order to evaluate the function and characteristics of high speed train system, various experimental conditions have been considered and conducted. In this paper, current collection characteristics of KHST between pantograph and catenary system and dynamic behaviors are measured and analysed over 300 to 350km/h in running speed of KHST. A measuring system which was developed and installed on the Korean High Speed Train for the performance and mechanical characteristics of the KHST pantograph is used for this trial running test and we proofed that KHST has a remarkable and stable current collection characteristics as it had been designed.

Improvement of Control Performance of PMSM in the low Speed Range (영구자석형 동기전동기의 저속도 영역에서 제어 성능 개선)

  • In this paper, improvement method of control performance by a full-order observer using reduced-order state equation is proposed in the low speed range. Full-order observer using reduced-order state equation is the motor speed and the disturbance torque observer. The proposed algorithm is very stable in the low speed range about 1.9[rpm]. The disturbance torque in the motor drive system degrades speed control performance in the low speed range. The proposed algorithm estimated both motor speed and disturbance torque. The estimated disturbance torque is used as a feedforward value in output of the speed controller, As a result, it improves the response of load torque in the low speed range(1.9rpm).

  • A battle management system should be introduced to improve mission success capabilities and accommodate integrated combat capabilities through increasing SA(Situation Awareness), or spatiotemporal synchronization of military operation in battle field environment. Conventional Korean Main Battle Tanks(Korean MBTs), which have been operated without digital network, were developed for 1980s. Korean new MBTs, which are mounted the battle management system, will be fielded soon. Therefore, old Korean MBT is needed to improve performances for co-operation with new one. This paper is reviewed each improved MBTs of world countries and domestic maintenance facilities. And this study suggests some processing methods which might be applicable to improve information network performance of old Korean MBTs.

  • The KHST(Korean High Speed Train) which had been developed by through 'G7-R&D project' has succeeded trial running test up to 350km/h on the Kyoung-Bu High Speed Track in December 16th, 2004. In order to evaluate the function and characteristics of KHST, various experimental conditions have been considered and conducted. In this paper, measured current collection characteristics and dynamic behaviors of KHST's pantograph are analysed over 300 to 350km/h in running speed of KHST. A measuring system developed and installed on the KHST for measuring the performance and mechanical characteristics of the KHST's pantograph was used for this trial running test and eventually, we proofed that KHST has a remarkable and stable current collection characteristics as it had been designed.

  • The Korean High-Speed Train(HSR 350x) had been developed by through 'G7-R&D project' in 1996-2002, and has been testing and evaluating it's reliability on the high-speed line until now. A number of core equipments designed and developed by using domestic technologies were boarded on the HSR 350x. In order to verify the performance of HSR 350x and core equipments such as traction system, brake system and pantograph, sophisticated testing and evaluating procedures should be considered and applied. In this paper, the tested and analysed results about the dynamic characteristics of HSR 350x pantograph are introduced in a view point of the mean contact force and it's variation trend, criterion of current collection, and up-lifting of contact wire when the MSR 350x running up to 350 km/h. Through the test and evaluation, we verified that HSR 350x pantograph had an excellent current collection performance and good dynamic characteristics as it had been designed.

  • This paper provides the result of analysis of the structure and I-V characteristics of D.C. 1500 V surge arresters which were installed in railway line currently. As Porcelain housed surge arresters have unstable elements such as exploding and dispersion, so it is thought that the system is protected more stably with replacement of polymer housing. The adoption of gap mitigates the voltage stress which is degradation factor of surge arresters and the research is needed to enhance the life characteristic in additive and manufacturing process. Therefore, it is thought that the research should be continued to develop homemade the surge arresters for D.C. railway line as well as transmission line.

  • 항공기, 자동차, 전차 등 차량의 시스템 또는 운동의 시뮬레이션에서는 다양한 종류의 불연속적인 파라미터 값들이 데이터 테이블의 형태로 주어지게 되는데, 본 연구에서의 관심은 적분 스텝의 크기가 고정되는 일반적인 실시간 시뮬레이션의 제약 하에서 기존의 검색 기법들을 비교하고, 최적의 검색 기법을 개발하는 것이다. 본 연구에서는 전통적으로 수치해석, 시뮬레이션, 데이터베이스 등 다양한 학문 및 응용기술 분야에서 개발된 데이터 검색 기법들을 조사하여 비교하였다. 또한, 다양한 크기와 형태의 데이터 테이블들을 사용하여 수치비교시험을 수행하였는데, 그 경향은 이론에 근거한 예상과 대체로 일치하였다. 한편, 검색하고자 하는 파라미터 값이 임의의 dynamics를 갖고 변한다면, 이러한 정보를 이용하여 주어진 데이터 테이블 내의 검색 영역을 축소 시켜 검색속도를 향상시킬 수가 있다. 다양한 수치시험에서 이분 검색법(bisection method)은 축소된 테이블의 크기에만 영향을 받지만 보간 검색법(interpolation method)과 그 변형 기법들은 검색 대상 테이블들의 축소로 데이터의 형태가 직선형이 되는 효과를 얻기 때문에 검색속도를 단축시키는데 매우 탁월한 효과를 나타내었다. 결론적으로 dynamic-window 개념을 도입한 보간 검색법과 그 변형들이 이론적으로도 실험적으로도 최적의 검색속도를 보장함이 입증되었다.

Separation Mode Analysis of Track Assembly of Main Battle Tank (궤도형 전투차량의 궤도박리 발생 및 성장모드 예측에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, we have proposed a simple finite element model for separation mode analysis on the roadwheel and track assembly of main battle tank and established a contact stress-based mechanism which could explain the initiation and growth of separation defect occurred during the test of padreplacable track. It was proved that the longitudinal contact shear stress component on the pin hole region of the track shoe body which is parallel to the driving direction is consistent with the crack initiation at the bonding surface between track shoe and wheel-side rubber. The longitudinal shear stress increased locally near the separated region after the separation initiated. So we could assume that the local stress concentration accelerates the separation growth according to the shear mode.

  • 자기애자는 전차선로 설비에서 가장 중요한 전기절연재료이지만, 내충격에 결함이 있고 파괴되기 쉽고, 무거워 취급에 어려움이 따른다. 이러한 자기애자의 단점을 해결하기 위하여 고분자 애자의 개발이 진행되어지고 있다. 그러나 고분자 애자의 경우 재질 특성상 자기 애자보다 분진의 부착이 쉽고 부착된 분진의 세척이 어려운 단점이 있어, 장기 사용 시 특성 변화가 우려된다. 본 연구에서는 TiO2 세라믹 타겟이 부착된 비대칭 마그네트론 스퍼터링 장치를 이용하여 TiO2 박막을 증착하였으며 증착되어진 TiO2 박막의 광촉매 특성과 트라이볼로지 특성을 고찰하였다. 광촉매 특성으로는 표면 접촉각 분석을 통하여 고찰하였으며, 트라이볼로지 특성으로는 경도, 잔류응력, 마찰계수, 표면 거칠기 등을 평가하였다. 또한 XRD, FESEM 분석 등 구조분석을 통하여 광촉매 특성과 트라이볼로지 특성등과의 연관성을 규명하였다.
