A solid-state NMR study on the activity of an antimicrobial peptide, magainin 2 (항균성 펩타이드인 magainin 2의 활성에 대한 고체 핵자기 공명 분광 연구)

  • The activity of an antimicrobial peptide, magainin 2, on lipid membranes was investigated using solid-state NMR and a new sampling method that employed mechanically aligned bilayers between thin glass plates. The experiments were performed at two hydration levels. At 95% hydration about 15% of the lipid bilayers were disrupted and at full hydration 20% were disrupted. From the comparison of two equilibrium states established by two sampling methods the importance of peptide binding to the lipid bilayer for whole membrane disruption was demonstrated.

A Study on Expedite Heat Transfer in Packed Bed of Hydration Calcined Dolomite for Chemical Heat Pump (소성 Dolomite 수화물 화학열펌프의 고체반응층 전열촉진 연구)

  • The reaction of hydration proceeded at the same time the vapor was introduced into the reactor that was filled with calcined dolomite. It has shown that the temperature has begun to fall from the bottom of reactor after increase of temperature by the heat of hydration reaction. The reaction initiated at the pipe wall and the heat was transfer to the center of block between the fins. The results show that the use of copper fin in the reactor reducted the hydration reaction time by half when compared to the case without using the fins.

Study on the Chemical and Radiation Crosslinking of Poly(vinyl alcohol) Hydrogels for an Improvement of Heat Resistance (내열특성 개선을 위한 폴리(비닐 알코올) 수화젤의 화학 가교와 방사선 가교에 관한 연구)

  • The PVA hydrogels were prepared by the chemical and irradiation method to improve the heat resistance of these hydrogels at the high temperature. The physical properties such as the gel content, the degree of swelling and the gel strength for the synthesized hydrogels were examined. Gel content increased as the chemical reaction time and the irradiation dose increased, and gel content of the hydrogels were higher when the two-steps of chemical and irradiation method were used rather than only the chemical method. Gel strength increased as the chemical reaction time increased, and as the irradiation dose decreased. The hydrogels prepared by the chemical reaction for 5 hours and the two-steps had the heat resistance at the high temperature.

  • Paper industry discharges many by-products and quantity of PSA (Paper sludge ash) has been increased. In this study, hydration water was added to PSA for use as cement admixture. PSA with added water was mixed with anhydrite and this mixture was used as cement substitute. Physical properties of PSA cement were changed by contents of PSA, but PSA cement containing PSA less than 10% had similar properties to those of OPC. Compressive strength of PSA cement mortar had a certain relationship with $Ca(OH)_2$ content. Compressive strength at 3 days increased, as $Ca(OH)_2$ content increased. However, the strength at 28 days increased, as $Ca(OH)_2$ content decreased.

A Study on Change in Cement Mortar Characteristics under Carbonation Based on Tests for Hydration and Porosity (수화물 및 공극률 관측 실험을 통한 시멘트모르타르의 탄산화 특성 변화에 대한 연구)

  • Due to the increasing significance of durability, much researches on carbonation, one of the major deterioration phenomena are carried out. However, conventional researches based on fully hardened concrete are focused on prediction of carbonation depth and they sometimes cause errors. In contrast with steel members, behaviors in early-aged concrete such as porosity and hydrates (calcium hydroxide) are very important and may be changed under carbonation process. Because transportation of deteriorating factors is mainly dependent on porosity and saturation, it is desirable to consider these changes in behaviors in early-aged concrete under carbonation for reasonable analysis of durability in long term exposure or combined deterioration. As for porosity, unless the decrease in $CO_2$ diffusion due to change in porosity is considered, the results from the prediction is overestimated. The carbonation depth and characteristics of pore water are mainly determined by amount of calcium hydroxide, and bound chloride content in carbonated concrete is also affected. So Analysis based on test for hydration and porosity is recently carried out for evaluation of carbonation characteristics. In this study, changes in porosity and hydrate $(Ca(OH)_2)$ under carbonation process are performed through the tests. Mercury Intrusion Porosimetry (MIP) for changed porosity, Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA) for amount of $(Ca(OH)_2)$ are carried out respectively and analysis technique for porosity and hydrates under carbonation is developed utilizing modeling for behavior in early-aged concrete such as multi component hydration heat model (MCHHM) and micro pore structure formation model (MPSFM). The results from developed technique is in reasonable agreement with experimental data, respectively and they are evaluated to be used for analysis of chloride behavior in carbonated concrete.

  • The Reaction structure in POSCO Global R&D center has to be investigated to minimize the crack especially by the hydration heat. In this study, several methods to control the hydration heat are suggested and the computational analysis of hydration heat is performed. The main variables are kinds of concrete, the interval of placement.

Preparation and Properties of CSA Type Expansive Cement Using Industrial By-products (산업부산물을 이용한 CSA계 팽창시멘트의 제조 및 특성)

  • 산업부산물을 이용하여 3CaO.3Al$_2$O$_3$.CaSO$_4$(C$_4$A$_3$S) 클링커를 합성하였다. 이때, 원료 물질은 산업부산물로 플라이 애쉬, 고로 수쇄 및 괴재슬래그를 $Al_2$O$_3$원으로 그리고 부산석고를 SO$_3$원으로 이용하였으며, CaO원으로 천연석회석을 사용하였다. 제조된 $C_4$A$_3$S 클링커를 CaSO$_4$, CaO를 배합하여 CSA계 팽창재를 제조하였으며, 일반 포틀랜드 시멘트(OPC)에 10 wt.% 첨가하여 수화 및 물성 특성을 조사하였다. 주요 수화생성상은 에트링자이트 및 수산화칼슘이었다. 수화시 에트링자이트의 생성으로 인해 팽창 및 경화체가 치밀화되어 건조수축이 감소되었고, 강도(압출, 인장, 휨)가 향상되었다.

  • 본 논문에서는 멀티미디어 서비스 요소 중의 하나인 VoIP(Voice Over Internet Protocol)망에서의 음성 품질에 대한 평가를 위해 VoIP망에서 송화자 내용- 발생과정에 있어서 어느 정도 완전히 표현되었는가를 나타내는 송화품질과 음성의 전송계를 통해 수화자에게 전달되는 과정에서 왜곡이나 잡음 등의 방해요인에 의해 열화되는 정도를 나타내는 전송품질, 그리고 수화자가 청각에서 신호처리 과정을 거친 송화자의 내용을 어느 징도 이해할 수 있는지를 나타내는 수화품질에 대한 주관적 방법을 평가한 후 통화품질을 측정한 내용을 분석하여 그 원인과 개선책에 대한 방법을 제시하고자 한다.

Characteristics and Hydration of the Modified Belite Cement Blended Fly Ash (플라이애쉬를 혼합한 개량형 벨라이트 시멘트의 특성 및 수화)

  • 천연원료를 사용하여 $\alpha$-C$_2$S-C$_4$A$_3$S계 시멘트를 제조하였다. 클링커의 특성분석은 XRDd, FT-IR, SEM으로 행하였고 플라이애쉬 첨가에 따른 강도변화와 유동성 및 수화발열속도를 검토하였다. 그 결과 플라이애쉬 첨가시 유동성 증가 및 ettringite와 stratling계 수화물의 생성으로 초기 압축강도가 증진되었다. 플라이애쉬 5wt% 혼합시 7일 모르타르 압축강도가 224kgf/$ extrm{cm}^2$, 90일 강도는 440kgf/$\textrm{cm}^2$ 이였다.

  • 말하기와 듣기가 불가능한 언어장애인들은 수화를 통하여 그들끼리 혹은 일반인과 의사소통을 해야 한다. 수화 또한 공용어이기에 전문통역사 없이도 서로간의 의사소통이 원활해야 하지만, 현실은 그렇지 않다. 이 시스템은 LeapMotion장비를 연결 및 각종 손동작을 인식 받아 데이터 세트 내에서 처리하여 이를 자연어로 변환함으로써 의사소통의 불편함을 해소할 수 있다. 또한 머신러닝을 이용하여 반복 학습할 수 있게 설계함으로써 처리율 향상을 기대할 수 있다.
