  • This study was based on the diary of George Clayton Fork, who arrived in Jeonju at 12:10 p.m. on November 10, 1884 and stayed for two nights and three days. During his stay, he was able to learn about the culture of Jeollagamyoung at that time through food, alcohol, banquets and gifts that he was treated to by gratitude. In particular, Fork added pictures and explanations of the deficiencies to its records, drawing half the breakfast table specially served by the Jeollagamyoung at 10 a.m. on Nov. 11. This is very valuable as the best and first source of knowledge of the food culture of the Joseon Dynasty in Jeonju, where no torture related to food was found. This is the result of a study that put great significance on objectively understanding the culture of Jeollagamyoung in the eyes of foreigners 135 years ago.

  • Entrepreneurial self-efficacy and self-efficacy on the positive effects of new firm creation are well developed in past research. However, marketing self-efficacy has not received enough attention on the prediction of entrepreneurial intention despite marketing and entrepreneurship are crucial when creating a new firm. Moreover, resilience has a central role in entrepreneurship research while present study aims to explore the impact of psychological factors on new venture creation but scholars have not begun to uncover specific mechanism through which marketing self-efficacy, resilience and entrepreneurial intention. The purpose of this study then was to examine resilience as mediator in the marketing self-efficacy and entrepreneurial intention relationship. Questionnaires were employed to collect data from major universities of future entrepreneurs in Korea. A total of 315 completed questionnaires were returned. Results showed that marketing self-efficacy and resilience had a positive effect on entrepreneurial intention. Further, resilience had a significant mediating effect on the marketing self-efficacy and entrepreneurial intention relationship. These results suggest theoretical and practical implications as an important factor to stimulate entrepreneurial intention.

  • Korea national arboretum has worked with the plant taxonomic society of Korea to make the first fully electronic floristic checklist in Korea. The result is an ever-expanding online plant name index containing scientifically authorative, up-to-date information on the approximately 7,000 taxa including cultivars. With 37 contributing taxonomists, KPNI is the largest collaborative research projects ever assembled in Korea. A comprehensive database model for the taxonomic data from literature and other sources is presented, which was devised for the Korea National Plant Index database project (KPNI). Gwangreung database model is based on an approach using entity-relationsip diagram. It encompasses taxa of all ranks, nothotaxa and hybrid formulae, cultivars, full synonymy, basionyms, Korean name, and other nomenclatural information. Ths paper presents an analysis of KPNI work processes and an overview how we are approaching the construction of Gwangreung databaese model. It can help the system engineers of other biological information systems to develop their database based on the accurate and integrative taxonomic database.

  • In general, at the relationship between claim and obligation if debtor does not fulfill its obligations arbitrarily the creditor can claim to debtor such as lawsuit. It means, despite the debtor ordered payment through the judgment, if debtor disobey that judgment, compulsory execution can be performed by the force of the country. In the end, fulfillment of obligation is enforced by national authorities in principle. However, exceptionally, even it established as a valid debt, if debtors fulfill themselves, they may not be protected from the national authorities. That is the natural obligation. The natural obligation originated from the Roman law which enforces strict type legal system and it is exceptional phenomenon in modern civil law which is made up as that all the bonds are likely to recourse. Therefore, in Korean theory acknowledge that debt is natural obligation and there is no exception. However, there are still controversy about the presence and occurrence of natural obligation. So, in this paper, want to review about its extent and effect including the concept of natural obligation.

  • According to Ferber (1988), philosophy of science considerations are particularly important for an area like consumer research that seeks to be interdisciplinary. The fact that the topic is studied by so many disciplines with different research traditions immediately raises the question of how one evaluates the (often conflicting) knowledge claims of its various practitioners. Closely related to this is the issue of whether it is even possible to study the topic in a truly interdisciplinary manner or whether a multidisciplinary approach is worth trying. In fact, this issue has triggered heated debates on positivism and relativism in consumer research and a significant number of consumer researchers, though majority of them still resorts to the traditional positivist paradigm, has rejected the tenets of positivism and has turned instead to relativism as the emergent paradigm for knowledge generation. The purpose of this paper is to elaborate on the possibility of eclecticism between positivism and relativism in consumer research. However, self-justifying system of each research camp let any comparison or attempt to reconcile regress to the questioning of philosophical assumption, "Objective reality does exist?", which can not be resolved. As Kuhn (1970) noted, philosophy of science may be chosen for reasons that are ultimately personal and subjective. Therefore, the possibility of eclecticism may be reserved. Rather, complementarity of each research practice can be suggested to make consumer research achieve holistic disciplinary status. Both camps can get nowhere by challenging respective philosophical underpinnings but can advance knowledge on substantive and methodological domains by complementing each other.

  • Multiple regression is used to examine the relationship between a set of two or more independent variables and one dependent variable. It provides the information necessary to make predictions of the dependent variables based on several independent variables. To do so, the multiple regression equation is extended to: y=$a+{\beta}_1x_1+{\beta}_2x_2+{\ldots}+{\beta}_kx_k$ y=attractiveness a=the value of the intercept ${\beta}_1$=the slope(weighting) of the first variable ${\beta}_1$= the slope(weighting) of the second variable ${\beta}_k$=the slope of the $\kappa$th variable The resulting regression equation of this research is y=$a+{\beta}_1site's\;system+{\beta}_2customer\;satisfaction+{\beta}_3products+{\beta}_4delivery$ y=3.233+0.374(site's system)+0.268(customer satisfaction)+0.17(products)+0.077(delivery)

  • Nodular faciitis is generally considered to be benign proliferation of fibroblasts and myoblasts, and it measures dimension up to 3cm. The characteristics such as rapid growth, abundant cellularity, and mitotic activity occasionally cause these lesions to mimic sarcoma. The authors experienced two cases of nodular fasciitis of the thigh, which were unusually large with dimension of more than 5cm. All of these two cases mimicked sarcoma and one of two cases, which initially mimicked sarcoma clinically and histologically in our hospital, was finally diagnosed as nodular fasciitis after requesting external consultation to several experienced pathologists. All of two cases had no evidence of recurrence at 2 years postoperatively. The lesions of unusually large dimension such as in our cases must be included in the differential diagnosis of soft tissue sarcoma. So we report two cases of nodular fasciitis of the thigh with a review of the current literature.

  • In citation analysis, author names are often used as the unit of analysis and some authors are indexed under the same name in bibliographic databases where the citation counts are obtained from. There are many techniques for author name disambiguation, using supervised, unsupervised, or semisupervised learning algorithms. Unsupervised approach uses machine learning algorithms to extract necessary bibliographic information from large-scale databases and digital libraries, while supervised approaches use manually built training datasets for clustering author groups for combining them with learning algorithms for author name disambiguation. The study examines various techniques for author name disambiguation in the hope for finding an aid to improve the precision of citation counts in citation analysis, as well as for better results in information retrieval.

  • This study examines the social network of scholars in the field of communication by using author cocitation data. A matrix containing the number of cocited documents between pairs of authors is created for social network analysis of scholars who are on the editorial board of Journal of Communication, and the networked map of the scholars is used to visualize the knowledge structure of the field by identifying groups of authors who are more central than others. In addition, the study compares the previous analysis performed in 2008 and the current analysis on the editorial board of the journal, which increased from 146 to 254 scholars in numbers. Author cocitation data was collected using Social Science Citation Index (SSCI) through the Web of Science database, and UCInet was used to create and visualize the author cocitation network and to analyze the correlation between the cocitation network and the factors that may have affected the structure of the cocitation network.

  • The aim of this study is to investigate the demographical differences in technostressors(cause technological stresses). Although previous studies have been conducted to investigate the factors that affect technostress, little studies have examined the differences in demographic factors. Therefore, this study empirically attempts to investigate how level of technostressors differ by demographic factors. Independent sample t-test was used to identify differences after dividing sample into two groups. The technostressors used in this work are work overload, life invasion, complexity of technology, job insecurity, pace of technological change. We found that, sex and position show a significant difference in pace of technological change. In the educational level, there is a difference between work overload. Work overload, life invasion, complexity of technology, and pace of change show differences in age group. In computer knowledge, there are differences in complexity technology, job insecurity, and pace of change. On the other hand, there is no difference in computer using hours. Conclusions and implications are discussed in final section.
