A Framework for an Advanced Learning Mechanism in Context-aware Systems using Improved Back-Propagation Algorithm (상황 인지 시스템에서 개선된 역전파 알고리즘을 사용하는 진보된 학습 메커니즘을 위한 프레임워크)

  • In seeking to improve the workload efficiency and inference capability of context-aware systems, we propose a new framework for an advanced teaming mechanism that uses improved bath propagation (BP) algorithm. Even though a learning mechanism is one of the most important parts in a context-aware system, the existing algorithms focused on facilitating systems by elaborating the learning mechanism with user's context information are rare. BP is the most adaptable algorithm for learning mechanism of context-aware systems. By using the improved BP algorithm, the framework we proposed drastically improves the inference capability so that the overall performance is far better than other systems. Also, using the special system cache, the framework manages the workload efficiently. Experiments show that there is an obvious improvement in overall performanre of the context-awareness systems using the proposed framework.

  • 이 연구에서는 사회과 학습부진학생의 부진 원인을 규명하고 사이버 가정학습 2.0을 통해서 일어나는 인식변화과정의 분석을 통해 사이버 가정학습 2.0 시스템에 맞는 상황모형을 도출하였다. 수집된 자료는 근거이론을 통해 분석하였으며, 사회과 학습부진학생이 느끼는 부진 원인에는 인지적 영역과 정의적 영역이 함께 규명됐고, 사이버 가정학습 2.0을 통해 사회과 학습부진학생들은 부정적 인식을 긍정적으로 변화시켜감을 알 수 있었다. 특히 과정분석을 통해 상황모형을 도출한 결과 사회과 학습부진학생을 위한 사이버 가정학습 2.0 문제해결학습 모형이 도출하였는 바, 크게 도입, 문제규명, 탐색, 수행, 정리 및 평가의 다섯 단계로 나뉘어지는 것이었다. 향후에는 보다 장기간의 연구를 통해 학습부진학생의 가족과 또래관계의 분석이 포함된 연구나 사이버 가정학습 2.0과 교실수업을 보다 유기적으로 연계한 연구가 요청된다.

  • This study was executed to give a help in planning and implementing Blended learning through investigating the learners' satisfaction difference according to Blended learning situation and learners' trait. For this purpose this study divided online learning situation into three types to examine the influence on satisfaction. And participants was divided based on the learning style to examine the influence of the trait on satisfaction. The Blended learning satisfaction classified into four; web environment, content, face to face sessions, general view on Blended learning's implementation.

Drivers' Learning Mechanism and Route Choice Behavior for Different Traffic Conditions (교통상황에 따른 운전자의 경로선택과 학습행동에 관한 연구)

  • When a route choice is done under uncertainty, a driver has some expectation of traffic conditions that will occur according to the route chosen. This study tries to build a framework in which we can observe the learning behavior of the drivers' expectations of the travel time under nonstationary environment. In order to investigate how drivers have their subjective expectations on traffic conditions in response to public information, a numerical experiment is carried out. We found that rational expectations(RE) formation about the route travel time can be expressed by the adaptive expectation model when the travel time changes in accordance with the nonstationary process which consists of permanent shock and transient shock. Also, we found that the adaptive parameter of the model converges to the fixed value corresponding to the route conditions.

  • 학습자는 교수 학습 상황에서 대부분 배운 내용을 잉킹을 통해 정리한다. 교수자와 학습자 사이에서 잉킹을 통한 상호작용은 매우 중요하며 이와 관련된 다양한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 디지털교과서가 점점 보급되고 있는 상황에서 서책형교과서와 디지털교과서가 공존하는 현재의 과도기적인 교육환경은 일반적인 잉킹과 디지털 잉킹이 공유하고 있다. 이에 디지털 교과서를 활용한 협력적인 학습상황에서 과제를 제시한 후, 일반적인 잉킹과 디지털 잉킹을 학생들에게 그룹별로 각각 적용하도록 환경을 구성하였다. 본 논문에서는 일반적인 잉킹환경과 디지털 잉킹환경이라는 두가지 잉킹 방식을 적용한 후에 학생의 태도 및 판단, 문제 해결의 정확성, 학생의 선호도에 어떤 영향을 미치는지 분석하였다.

The Influences of Cognitive Conflict, Situational Interest, and Learning Process Variables on Conceptual Change in Cognitive onflict Strategy with an Alternative Hypothesis (대안가설이 도입된 인지갈등 전략에서 인지갈등 및 상황흥미와 학습 과정 변인이 개념변화에 미치는 영향)

  • In this study, we investigated the influences of cognitive conflict and situational interest induced by a discrepant event and an alternative hypothesis, attention and state learning strategies on conceptual change. A preconception test was administered to 486 seventh graders. They also completed the questionnaires of cognitive response and situational interest to a discrepant event before/after presenting an alternative hypothesis. After learning the concept of density with a CAI program as conceptual change intervention, the tests of attention, state learning strategies, and conceptual understanding were administered as posttests. Analyses of the results for 197 students having misconceptions about density revealed that post-cognitive conflict was significantly higher than pre-cognitive conflict. However, there was no statistically significant difference between the test scores of pre-situational interest and post-situational interest. Pre-cognitive conflict only exerted a direct effect on post-cognitive conflict, while post-cognitive conflict exerted a direct effect and Journal of the Korean Chemical Society an indirect effect via attention on conceptual understanding. Both pre- and post-situational interests were found to influence on conceptual understanding via attention. Attention had influences positively on deep learning strategy and negatively on surface learning strategy. There was a relatively small effect of state learning strategies on conceptual understanding.

Advances and Issues in Federated Learning Open Platforms: A Systematic Comparison and Analysis (연합학습 개방형 플랫폼의 발전과 문제점에 대한 체계적 비교 분석)

  • As federated learning brings a large paradigm to modern artificial intelligence research, efforts are being made to incorporate federated learning into research in various fields. However, researchers who apply federated learning face the problem of choosing a federated learning framework and benchmark tool suitable for their situation and purpose. This study aims to present guidelines for selection of federated learning frameworks and benchmark tools considering the circumstances of researchers who apply federated learning in practice. In particular, there are three main contributions in this study. First, it generalizes the situation of the researcher applying federated learning by combining it with the goal of federated learning and proposes guidelines for selecting a federated learning framework suitable for each situation. Second, it shows the suitability of selection by comparing the characteristics and performance of each federated learning framework to the researcher. Finally, the limitations of the existing federated learning framework and a plan for real-world federated learning operation are proposed.

Exploring the factors of situational interest in learning mathematics (수학 학습에 대한 상황적 흥미 요인 탐색)

  • The purpose of this study is to explore the factors of situational interest in math learning, and based on the results, to reveal the factors of situational interest included in teaching and learning methods, teaching and learning activities in mathematics class, and extracurricular activities outside of class. As a result of conducting a questionnaire to high school students, the factors of situational interest in learning mathematics were divided into 10 detail-domain(Enjoy, Curiosity, Competence / Real life, Other subjects, Career / Prior knowledge, Accumulation knowledge / Transformation, Analysis), 4 general-domain(Emotion, Attitude / Knowledge, Understanding), 2 higher-domain(Affective / Cognitive) were extracted. In addition, it was revealed that various factors of situational interest were included teaching and learning methods, teaching and learning activities and extracurricular activities. When examining the meaning of 10 situational interest factors, it can be expected that the factors for developing individual interest are included, so it can be expected to serve as a basis for expanding the study on the development of individual interest in mathematics learning. In addition, in order to maintain individual interest continuously, it is necessary to maintain situational interest by seeking continuous changes in teaching and learning methods in the school field. Therefore, it can be seen that the process of exploring the contextual interest factors included in teacher-centered teaching and learning methods and student-centered teaching and learning activities and extracurricular activities is meaningful.

Design and Application of the Problem Based Learning Model for Environment Teaching Unit (환경단원 수업을 위한 문제중심학습 설계 및 적용)

  • The purpose of this study was to design the coaching strategies for the problem based learning and examine 'the problem situation' to analyze the process of learning as it applies to the students' perception on problem based learning. The steps of this model were as follows: 1) presentation of the problem situation 2) confrontation of the problem 3) know/ need to know 4) definition of the problem statement 5) collection and sharing of information 6)generation of possible solutions 7) assessment of the best fit of solutions 8) presentation of the solution. Problem-based learning steps and coaching strategies were designed and implemented to 2nd grade high school students for the environment teaching unit. The results demonstrated that group discussion in the know/need to know step was most helpful for students to review what they know and generate solutions. At first students tend to state problems widely but through repeated group discussions they gradually clarified the problems. In the students' personal reflection notes and perception questionnaire of problem-based learning, many students especially showed difficulties in defining the problem statement. In contrast they participated actively in the learning process and express their opinions enthusiastically. Therefore, this study suggests that developing problem situation based on real context is of great importance for implementing a problem based teaming model continuously.

A Study on the Effect on the New Teaching Strategy Facilitating Reflective Thinking in the Learning of the Particulate Nature of Matter (물질의 입자성 학습에서 반성적 사고를 촉진시키는 새로운 입자모델 교수전략의 효과 - 초등학교 예비교사를 대상으로 -)

  • The purpose of this study was to design the new teaching strategy based on the particulate model facilitating the reflective thinking (RE-PM) in the learning of the particulate nature of matter, and to investigate the effect of the new teaching strategy in compare with the traditional teaching strategy (TS-PM) after treating with new teaching strategy on preliminary teachers of elementary school. The problems of traditional teaching strategy are as follows: 1) Most of students didn't think the particulate model connected with practical material. 2) Most of students have a tendency of the rote memory on learning of the traditional particulate model. 3) The ratio of changing the view of continuous matter into the view of particulate nature of matter was very low, after learning the particulate model using of the traditional teaching strategy. The new teaching strategy facilitating the reflective thinking was more effective on the understanding of particulate nature of matter and the driving of motivation than the traditional teaching strategy in the learning of the particulate nature of matter.
