This study aims to identify and categorize the content and public use patterns of social scientists' informal communication activities. Using Twitter data, we identified Korean 736 social scientists who participated in communication activities with the public, and analyzed 4,548 tweets that revealed their informal communication activities. This study is meaningful in that it explored informal communication between social scientists and the public, which was not previously revealed in scholarly communication, and identified the types of informal communication activities, communication media, and collaborative sectors in detail.

A hyperlink on academic World Wide Web has started to be recognized as a form of collaborative communication network connecting individual researchers and research groups and expanding their collaboration relations by making possible easy and direct online contact among people or groups anywhere in the world. This paper describes the structure of academic hyperlinks embedded in universities' Web sites hosted at the 10 Asian countries and further, examines the association between the structure of the hyperlink network and collaborative communication pattern among those countries based on their frequency of co-authoring articles. This research found that the number of inter-hyperlinks among universities' Web sites was significantly correlated with the frequency of co-authored articles across the 10 countries.

본 연구는 해사커뮤니케이션의 정의를 시도하고 그 특징과 방해요인을 파악하여 바람직한 해사영어교육 방향 모색을 위한 토대를 마련하고자 한다. 이러한 해사커뮤니케이션에 대한 고찰을 바탕으로 해상업무에서 영어의 간소화와 표준화를 통해 명확하고 효과적인 의사소통을 꾀하기 위해 만들어진 SMCP 교육을 중심으로 한 해사영어교육의 현황과 문제점을 고찰해보고자 한다. 그리고 해기전문인력이 갖추어야할 해사커뮤니케이션 역량을 정의하고, 국내 해기전문교육에 필요한 해사영어교육의 변화방향을 모색해보고자 한다.

The study investigated the 7 problems of journal publishing based scholarly communication and suggested that the open access scholarly communication could be an alternative to that scholarly communication. To understand the status of open access scholarly communication in Korea, the study investigated open access journal or archive, open access license and softwares in Korea, and suggested the expected role of library to be the herb in scholarly communication.

Research libraries have been facing serials crisis, that is the difficulties in providing information which caused by high and rapidly increasing cost of scientific journal subscriptions. This economic problem resulted in the imbalance between scholarly Publication and library resources. University libraries recognized that the commercialization of research information is at the core of the economic problem. This paper analyzes the trials and suggestions of faculty, universities, and professional societies in the United States to reforming scholarly communication system to take back intellectual property from commercial publishers and to improve scientific information exchange.

모바일을 통한 커뮤니케이션은 우리 생활에 밀접하게 관련되어 있고, 없어서는 안될 부분이다. 이 현상은 웹을 가진 인터넷보다도 더 중요한 삶의 부분이 되었으며, 미래까지도 계속적으로 아주 빠르게 중요성을 더욱 커질 것이다. 우리는 인간과 인간의 커뮤니케이션을 넘어, 존재하는 모든 사물들과 커뮤니케이션을 원하고 있다. 자연스럽게 "Internet of Things"의 시대로 우리는 나아갈 것이고, 인간과 사물, 사물과 사물간의 커뮤니케이션 발전 정도에 비례하여 유비쿼터스 세상이 얼마나 빠르게 도래되는지 결정될 것이다. 인간과 사물과의 단순한 커뮤니케이션은 우리가 의도적으로 목적을 가지고 사물과의 커뮤니케이션을 원할 때만 가능한 것이다. 하지만, Internet of Things의 사회가 도래도면 우리가 관여하지 않아도 사물들간의 커뮤니케이션을 자율적으로 유지되고 지속적으로 연결되어 있어야만 한다. 이를 위하여 각 사물은 다른 사물들과의 구별, 차이를 가지기 위해 자신만의 고유한 성질인 메타데이터를 가지고 있어야 하고, "Spime" 개념을 이용하여 이를 구체화하고 이해관계를 설명할 수 있을 것이다.

KMS에서 지식전달 및 지식공유를 위한 커뮤니케이션 도구는 필수적인 요소지만 현재 국내 KMS에서 채택하고 있는 비실시간, 혹은 문자 중심의 커뮤니케이션 도구로는 지식전달 및 공유를 위한 조직원간의 커뮤니케이션 활성화가 불가능하다. 본 연구에서는 KMS의 커뮤니케이션 활성화를 위한 실시간 멀티미디어 인스턴트 메신저의 역할을 제시하였다. 제시된 KMS용 실시간 멀티미디어 시스템은 화상/음성통신, 문자/그래픽통신, 화이트보드통신, 화면공유, 그리고 에스코티드 브라우징과 같은 다양한 커뮤니케이션 방법을 제공하기 때문에 조직원간의 지식공유/전달, 공동작업, 그리고 사용자 편리성 및 접근성을 제공할 수 있을 것이다. In this study, the characteristics of scholarly communication through the Web and scientific journals are explored, and scholarly communication patterns in two scientific disciplines are compared to reveal the difference. Economics and Computer Science-Information Systems are selected as two disciplines to be analyzed. In the data collection process, 10 keywords are extracted from a database for each subject field, and scholarly Web pages and journal articles related to these keywords are collected and analyzed. Our investigation includes the characteristics of scholarly Web pages, Multi-Dimensional Scaling (MDS) analysis of co-linked Web pages as well as co-cited journal articles, and changes in the scholarly communication activities occurring on the Web and in scientific journals respectively over time. We found certain differences as well as common features in scholarly communication patterns between the Web and scientific journals for both fields of Economics and Computer Science. We also found that scholarly communication occurring on the Web displays unique features for each subtopic within the same field of study.

의사와 환자의 관계에서 제도적 조건의 차이로 인한 대화 주도권의 불균형이 발생하고, 환자의 인식이 변화됨에 따라 의사와 환자간의 커뮤니케이션이 원활하게 이루어지지 않는 점이 문제가 되고 있다. 최근 의학 전문대학원 과정이 시작되면서 의학교육 프로그램이 통합 개선됨에 따라 인문사회 의학적 측면의 교육이 강조되기 시작하였고, 의료커뮤니케이션을 위한 교육적 필요성이 커졌다. 그러나 국내에서 시작단계에 불과한 의료커뮤니케이션의 교육은 그 내용과 방법론에서 체계성과 전문성이 부족한 상태이다. 이런 문제를 해결하기 위하여 의학분야에서는 의료커뮤니케이션 교육 과목과 정보통신기술을 활용한 교육도구를 개발을 목표로 하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 의료커뮤니케이션 교육에 사용되는 강의자료를 체계화하고, 체계화된 자료들을 이용하여 강의형태를 구성하여 강의흐름을 쉽게 파악할 수 있는 교육도구를 개발하여 의료커뮤니케이션 교육 강의에 대한 질과 효율을 높인다.

사회적 기구로서 도서관은 그 사회의 필요에 의해 생겨났으며 그 사회의 변화에 일조함으로 사회화 과정인 매스커뮤니케이션의 한 체계를 구성하고 있다. 본 연구는 도서관과 사회의 관계를 매스커뮤니케이션의 관점에서 이해하기 위하여 도서관과 매스커뮤니케이션의 이론적 관계를 살펴보고, 설문조사를 통하여 도서관의 사회적 역할에 대한 분석을 한 뒤, 이를 바탕으로 도서관이 사회적 역할을 다할 수 있는 방안을 찾아봄으로서 도서관과 사회와의 관계를 이해ㆍ증진시키는 데 그 목적이 있다.
