This study used content analysis to examine the research methods in Library and Information Science journals from 1997 to 2001. Analyses measured research subjects, research method, data collection methods, data analysis methods, hypotheses, theories and research funds. Brief consideration is given to possible future methodological trends : web-based research methods, qualitative research, cooperation between academic society and librarians and research fundraising.

This case study analyzed how electronic journal subscription had an effect on special library management including budget, information behavior, library operations, facilities, space et al. in KIST. This study suggests the followings; 1) Since electronic journals has an effect on overall operations of special libraries, draw big pictures not by functions. 2) Though the most method for subscription is consortium, it is necessary to build cooperation network for information sharing and vary cost architecture of information use. 3) Through job analysis, redesign jobs. 4) Reconstruct stacks and facilities. 5) It is necessary paradigm shift that it is more important to use than preserve materials in the special libraries.

인터넷이 데이터 저장 및 서비스를 위한 도구로 폭넓게 활용되고 있으며, 이 과정에서 웹 서버 방문객에 대한 정보인 로그가 발생된다. 이러한 로그는 방문객 주소, 참조 페이지, 방문 시각 등의 정보를 포함하고 있다. 웹 로그에 대하여 패턴분석(pattern analysis), 군집분석(clustering), 판별분석(classification) 등의 통계적 분석을 통하여 방문객이 관심을 가지는 항목이나 항목간의 연관관계 등 새로운 정보를 생성하여 웹 디자인 또는 비즈니스에의 적용에 대한 연구가 활발히 논의되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 웹 로그 분석에 대하여 소개하고 웹 로그 분석을 위한 방안을 제시하고자 한다.

데이터를 대량 생산하는 스마트 기기가 대거 등장한 요즘 빅데이터는 대용량 데이터를 분석하여 가치 있는 정보를 추출하고 이 지식을 바탕으로 위기에 대응하거나 변화를 예측하는 정보기술이다. 그러나 아직 빅데이터에 대해 분류하거나 분석하는 기술의 연구가 미비하다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 빅 데이터의 개념, 배경, 분석기술 현황에 대해 분석하고 빅 데이터 유형 분석 및 분석 기술의 향후 전망을 제시한다.

본 논문에서는 웹 관리자가 웹 사이트 분석을 위하여 웹 로그(web log) 분석을 통한 필요한 정보를 추출하고, 추출된 데이터를 분석하여 웹 환경을 개선시키고, 웹 사이트 방문자를 위해 더 좋은 서비스를 할 수 있는 새로운 웹 로그 분석 모델을 제안 한다. 이와 같은 목적을 달성하기 위해 본 논문에서는 웹 로그의 개념 및 유형, 웹 로그의 분석 원칙 및 웹 로그 분석 방법을 고찰하였다. 웹 로그 분석 도구로는 Web Log Expert를 활용하였다. 본 논문에서는 이 도구를 이용하여 웹 방문자 수에 대한 통계분석, 인기가 많은 웹 사이트에 대한 페이지분석 및 방문자 IP 분석 등을 실시하였다.

분석 도구들의 필요성이 증대되고 있다 웹 분석 도구들 중 웹 로그 분석 도구들은 축적된 웹 로그를 분석하여 분석 가능한 정보를 산출하고 이를 효율적인 웹 운영의 기초 정보로 이용할 수 있도록 한다. 그러나 기존의 웹 로그 분석 도구들은 웹사이트에 따라 요구되는 로그 분석 목적을 충족시키기 위해서 변형되어야 하거나 특정한 목적이 맞게 새롭게 개발되어야 한다. 본 연구에서는 로그 분석 시스템 또는 로그 분석 도구 개발에서 공통적으로 수행되는 과정(로그 파일로부터 필요한 항목들을 추출하고 정제하여 분석 가능한 데이터로 저장 루틴)을 컴포넌트화하였다. 이 컴포넌트는 로그로부터 추출한 정보를 XML 문서 또는 데이터베이스에 저장한다. 본 연구에서 개발한 컴포넌트는 로그 데이터를 XML 문서 형식과 데이터베이스에 로그 정보를 저장하여 쉽게 다른 시스템에서 저장된 정보를 유용하게 사용하도록 한다. 또한 생성한 컴포넌트의 효용성을 검증하기 위하여 웹 로그 분석 시스템을 설계하였다.

이 논문에서는 한국어 형태소 분석기 KMM(Korean Malaga Morphology)을 소개하고자 한다. KMM의 개발 동기는 이후 자연언어 처리 단계의 기반으로 사용될 수 있을 뿐 아니라 이론 형태론 연구의 도구로도 사용될 수 있도록 상세한 형태 동사 의미 정보를 제공하는 것이었다. 이론적 틀은 좌연접 문법(Left-Associative Grammar)에 기초한 LA-MORPH이며, 좌연접 기반 문법 개발 도구인 MALAGA로 구현되었다. LA-MORPH에 기반한 KMM은 분석 실행중이 아닐 때에는 사전의 규모를 최소한으로 유지하다가 분석에 필요할 때에만 분석용 사전을 자동으로 생성한다. 형태소 분석은 분석용 사전에 근거하여, 매칭과 결합이라는 단순한 알고리즘만을 사용한다. KMM의 분석은 동사 어절의 경우, 시제, 서법, 문형, 대우법, 명사 어절의 경우 격정보, 수사 결합어절의 경우 추출된 수랑 정보 등과 같은 상세한 정보를 제시한다. 세종 말뭉치와 KIBS 말뭉치를 KMM 을 이용해서 분석한 결과 각각의 94.96%와 94.59%의 분석률과 88.4%와 90.7%의 정확도를 보였다.

This study examined two characteristics of library and information science (LIS) journals in Korea through analysis of journal coupling with common authors. This study also illustrated the trend of Korean LIS research in the recent decade. The notable change is that record management and archival studies settle in LIS domain as a major research area. We introduced two indicators, Publishing Preference Index (PPI) and Researcher Attraction Index (RAI), based on the degree of common authors among journals. Both indicators revealed notable changes in author coupling, including reversal of PPIs in some journals, which can be interpreted as proof of changes in their author groups. The RAI analysis, which measured the degree of journals' attractiveness to Korean LIS researchers and author sharing between two journals, illustrated the journals' states in a domain; this result can help find both an isolated journal and strongly bonded journals in the specific domain. Journal coupling with common authors introduced in this study proved to be an effective investigative method for illustrating journals' states in a specified domain as well as a multidisciplinary area.

본 논문은 문헌정보학의 연구동향을 규명하기 위하여 1957년부터 1997년 12월까지 국내에서 출판된 단행본 1,855종을 내용분석(Content Analysis)을 이용하여 저자별 생산성, 주제별 생산성, 대학별 생산성, 연구방법별 생산성에 대한 분석을 살펴봄과 동시에 그 결과를 통한 핵심전공주제, 핵심저자, 전공분야별 핵심저자, 언어분석 등을 각각 수량적으로 분석 조사하였다. 이 같은 연구는 문헌정보학의 핵심주제와 관심영역, 주제의 편중과 분포, 학문의 전반적인 흐름을 파악할 수가 있었다.

2020년 AIS 자료와 해양용도구역 정보를 종합해 월별/해역별 주요 선박 통항로를 분석하고 우리나라 연안의 주요 선박 통항로 영역을 유효·비유효 구역으로 구분하여 향후 빅데이터 기반의 통합 항로 예측에 적용하는데 활용하고자 한다. 이 결과를 선박 해양사고정보, 해양에너지, 수산 등의 해양공간계획(MSP) 정보를 추가·분석할 예정이다. 나아가 국가어항을 중심으로 항만별 분석, 화물선·여객선·어선 중심의 선종별 분석 정보로 확대하여 빅데이터 기반의 항로 예측 기술의 입력자료로 활용할 예정이다.
