It has been a point of dispute how to define the disciplinary identity of STS; science and technology studies or science, technology and society? Still, STS is now emerging as an autonomous research discipline with its own agendas and styles of reasoning from a mere collections of various meta disciplines such as philosophy of science, history of science and sociology of science. The paper discusses how philosophy of science in its cross-disciplineary mode can contribute to STS (understood as science and technology studies) research given these recent academic trends. We can start from the observation that there are two distinctive ways of doing cross-disciplinary research: inter-disciplinary and multi-disciplinary. Then it is shown with concrete examples how philosophy of science can productively participate in both ways of cross-disciplinary researches in STS.

The progress in IT has increased work efficiency in many fields, leading to the start of a new era where information is exchanged by connecting all objects under the paradigm of IoT. Interest is growing on the convergence of various fields of study that goes beyond simply applying IT to research to increase efficiency in multidisciplinary studies. As such, there is a need to develop an IT-based model that can be applied to social welfare work. Social welfare workers in Korea at present have twice the workload and stress of those of their counterparts in other OECD countries. This leads to decreased work efficiency. This paper seeks to suggest a way to increase efficiency in social welfare work by improving the work process through IT-based systems. The study is expected to contribute to increased efficiency in the area of social welfare.

The impotance of Radiological science is greater due to development of Science and technology in Medical and Engineering. people who research specific area thought interdisciplinary approach, convergence is essential to pioneer a new field, receive attention was that interdisciplinary approach was needed. so investigating graduate system of radiological science, advanced country, designed to fit their country, could propose reference. the results show, in the university of offered with Master Degree operated program for Clinical experts(Sonography Specialist, Radiation Theraphy Specialist and Nuclear Medicine Specialist)and offered with Ph.D Degree operated program for Scientist and physicist (Nuclear Scientist, Medical Physicist). Note that by this, advanced graduate school program will enable us to become a reader of academia, play a leading role in the world.

The objective of this study is to understand and give an overview regarding research trends in digital signage in Korea, which has recently received significant attention from the media market. For the past 10 years, from 2006 to 2016, 69 studies related to digital signage were found. Following the coding guidelines, the present study conducted a content analysis on the published peer-reviewed journals in Korea including their published year, each journal's number of compilations, journal ratings, number of researchers and their major, field of research, research medium, research method, research samples, and the applied statistical analysis. Through the analyzed results, we found out that there are numerous studies on digital signage in various fields of study, including media content. A number of case studies and experimental studies were made. However, theoretical research on digital signage was still found to be insufficient. Lastly, a wider variety of theories are suggested to be applied in future study along with conducting joint research with cooperation between industry partners and academics in order to further advance the research on digital signage.

This study was performed to derive a new business administration framework based on the service philosophy established in the previous research. We proposed a business administration system that reflects the changes of modern economic society and solves problems of existing business administration. The problem of the existing business administration is analyzed by analyzing the essential problems of business administration as a discipline and the practical problems of current business administration. New management theory must have a status as an intrinsic discipline, so it must meet the common principles of human society. The principles of universe and the life principle of mankind, which are the environment in which human beings live, were reflected. As a result of deriving these common principles, qualification requirements as the intrinsic disciplines of business administration can be defined. The new business administration discipline is constructed in three fields. Business philosophy, a theory of manager, and business administration skills are three sub-fields of new business administration. We define the detailed structure of each field of new business administration and present the main research topics. In the future, further research is needed to deepen the culture of essence in business administration, and it is necessary to study the construction of the new business administration theory in detailed field.

계측제어(Instrumentation & Control)는 전기 전자, 기계, 항공, 조선, 화공 및 원자력 등의 모든 분야에 적용되면서 하나의 독자적 세부 분야로 자리잡고 있다. 또한 공학분야 이외에도 경제, 정치, 사회, 환경 및 의학 등 다양한 분야에서 그 학문적 적용 영역을 확대시켜 나아가고 있다. 그런데 계측제어가 그 적용되는 분야의 기술적 내용에 따라 고유한 특성을 가지고 있다. 본 기술논단에서는 원자력 분야의 계측제어의 고유한 특성에 대하여 기술하고자 한다.

The domain of digital libraries is one of interdisciplinary fields since it contains various aspects of digital libraries. The main findings of digital library interdisciplinarity have been discussed in terms of contents, management and infrastructural technologies within the field of library and information science. The purpose of this study is to identify and widen the interdisciplinary structure of digital library domain by analyzing the collaborations from different disciplines. With 1,394 research articles of digital libraries from 1997 to 2010, the analysis of collaborations of authors from various disciplines was conducted. The results identified that three subject areas of authors such as Information science and library science, Computer science and Engineering were found as the centers to collaborate with various disciplines. In addition, sub-domains of digital library were recognized in terms of core digital library area, natural science area, medical related area and biology and medical area. The findings of this study depict the domain of digital libraries as a variety of subject areas since digital library domain is characterized with both research and practices.

Data Science is emerging as a closely related field of study to Library and Information Science (LIS), and as an interdisciplinary subject combining LIS, statistics and computer science in an attempt to understand the value of data by applying what LIS has been doing for collecting, storing, organizing, analyzing, and utilizing information. To investigate which subject fields other than LIS, statistics, and computer science are related to Data Science, this study retrieved 667 materials from Web of Science Core Collection, extracted terms representing Web of Science Categories, examined subject fields that are studying Data Science using descriptive analysis, analyzed the intellectual structure of the field by co-word analysis and network analysis, and visualized the results as a Pathfinder network with clustering created with the PNNC clustering algorithm. The result of this study might help to understand the intellectual structure of the Data Science field, and may be helpful to give an idea for developing relatively new curriculum.
