Deeper understandings of school library-assisted instruction from teachers are required to develop students' self-directed learning skills which can improve their learning capabilities, problem solving techniques and learning attitudes. The objective of this study was to examine whether there is difference in subject teachers' perception of the necessity and effectiveness of the group type, class model, and collaborative class of class utilizing the school library and to apply and activate class utilizing the school library constructively in the field of education. For this purpose, this study inquired into the concept, necessity, type and process of class utilizing the school library, etc. and conducted a questionnaire survey of 278 subject teachers sampled from 30 high schools in 10 areas of Gyeonggido.

Information Literacy Instruction(ILI) is recognised with essential role of the school library, as information use ability appears with one literacy in knowledge and information society. The successful ILI is necessary teaching and teaming model of student's activities that it provides the various experience, to motivate, to promote positive participation. Consequently, this study is developed to teaching and teaming model of student's activity through Multiple Intelligences which emphasizes to human's multi dimension and activities.

This study is to search Korean teacher librarians' perception level of expertise and to grope for effective alternatives to promote their expertise, based on it. The result is as follows: Although Korean teacher librarians were well-educated on the information management and its related expertise, they consider that, in site, the expertise on school library education and its management is more important. As a result, this study suggests the law amendment of training teacher librarians, and the improvement of their selection system and in-service training.

This study sought to propose desirable education direction for library-assisted instruction that uses human library in school library. For this purpose, this paper conducted a case study on the classes that use human library run by the library of S Girls' High School in Seoul. The main study results are summarized below. First, S Girls' High School Library implemented five human library programs in 2019, including improvement of perception on multi-culture, menstruation rights for all, generation-connecting MEMORO project, pregnancy and delivery, and improvement of perception on the disabled. Second, the students replied that they could imagine and immerse while listening to Human Book's story and that it was good to be able to ask questions if they had any. They said that those who acted as Human Book gave realistic advice, which was meaningful giving them a lot to learn. Some students replied that their previously negative perception turned positive.

There is a necessity which it will analyze demonstrative operating school library digital resource room for maximize to educational effect and to establish efficiently. Thus, this study is prepares a foundation of school library informationization as analyzes an operational status and an educational effect with 96 school library digital resource room which are established in tool year.

This research aims to suggest the way of activation of book curation in secondary school libraries by analyzing examples of book curation and the recognition of the persons in charge of secondary school libraries. A documentary research and a survey is conducted. 192 school librarians are chosen for that survey in Incheon region secondary school. 4 teacher librarians of Incheon region secondary school and a professor of library and information science are interviewed. Also an investigation is executed by visiting school libraries. Augmentation of the persons in charge of secondary school libraries, coordinating and information sharing with educational teachers, establishment of manual for book curation operation, publishing examples of subject selection are suggested for the measure of activation of book curation.

The purpose of this study is to identify the value of school libraries and to find ways to realize the value after examining school libraries and teacher librarians in Korea. According to this study, school libraries can be useful resource to promote Koreans' social perception in all types of libraries and the LIS because school libraries are accessible to those who experience public education. As a major area of research and the field in the LIS, school libraries have strong possibilities to produce qualified librarians. The cooperation among librarians and legislative proceeding to staff full-time teacher librarians, and the expansion of school library researchers to activate field researches are needed in order to maximize the value.

The purpose of this study is to analyze current status and teacher librarians' perceptions of school library space composition and indoor environment, and propose some methods for the school library to be a basic educational facility. The space most secured by the 126 teacher librarians who participated in the survey was the free reading area, and the space with the lowest level was the media production and group project area. The most important types of spaces for teacher librarians are the teaching area and the free reading area, while the recognition of the importance of media production and group project areas is relatively low. Among the elements of indoor environmental assessment, they showed that safety and comfort were the most important but diversity and flexibility were relatively less important. The result of this analysis is different from the school and library policy direction that emphasizes the learning commons and maker spaces. Teacher librarians still seem to appreciate the importance of traditional library space. Therefore, it is necessary to include the establishment and operation of maker spaces and learning commons in the teacher librarians training and retraining process. In addition, it is necessary to increase the participation of users such as teachers, students, and parents in space composition and interior design initiatives to increase the user's interior environment satisfaction.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of cognitive developmental stages on library behaviors, reading tendency and perception on the library of the elementary students. For this study, a cognitive development tests and a questionnaire survey was conducted with students in their fourth and sixth grades in three elementary schools in Seoul and statistical analysis was carried out with the survey data. As a result, sixth grade students with the higher cognitive development had more requests for library information services than fourth grade students did. However, sixth grade students use library less and preferred to focus on the books for fun and personal interests, comparing with the fourth grade students. Their high level of cognitive development did not always have a positive effect on library behaviors and reading tendency. In addition, perception on the library of sixth grade students was lower than that of fourth grade students and it was influenced by library behaviors and reading tendency. It was also influenced positively by frequent use of library, active support by librarians and reading curriculum-related books. Based on the analysis, it is suggested that school library service should be provided based on the development stage of the upper grades of elementary students.
