IT 기술의 발전에 따라 미래를 예측할 수 있는 빅데이터 의 중요성이 강조되고 있으며, 다양한 산업에서 이를 활용하고 있다. 이러한 빅 데이터를 분석할 수 있는 도구인 R은 통계 기반의 정보 분석을 가능하게 하는 언어와 환경이다. 대학은 최고의 학문기관으로서 시대의 발전과 요구에 따라 그에 대응하는 학과를 개설하고 유지해 왔다. 따라서 대학의 학과명을 분석하면 현 시대의 요구와 기술의 발전에 대하여 알 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 빅데이터 분석도구인 R을 이용하여 전국에 2 4년제 대학, 대학원의 학과를 분석한다. 학과 명칭을 수집하고 각 데이터를 분석하여 학과 명칭의 빈도를 조사하며 대학에 어떤 학과 명칭이 자주 사용되는지를 파악한다.

The purpose of this study was to change the '과gwa (academic department)' operated by the college to the '학과haggwa (academic department).' Although they are in a lower order in the legal system, "the Regulations for the Establishment and Operation of University and College" and "the Public Notice on the Establishment of a 3-year Course at College" use '학과haggwa' regardless of the type of school. On the other hand, "the Higher Education Act and the Enforcement Decree of the Higher Education Act" use '과gwa' for colleges. The department name can be changed from '과gwa' to '학과haggwa' through a revision of school regulations in promoting the establishment of a major and the operation of the curriculum. In this study, it is considered reasonable to operate the name of '학과haggwa' in an associate degree course or higher.

한국도서관학회는 2회에 걸쳐 학회명칭 개정을 위한 세미나를 개최하여 진지한 토의를 전개한 바 있다. 도서관학계에서 논의되고 있는 학회명칭 개정문제는 학계는 물론 일선 도서관계에서도 관심을 갖는 문제이다. 그간 학회에는 발표된 내용 요지를 여기에 소개해 둠으로써 참고에 자하고자 한다.

In the age of population cliff, an aggressive entrance exam strategy for the development of excellent human resources for beauty is very important for the survival of beauty departments and universities. Therefore, for the purpose of in-depth trend analysis of department names and affiliated departments that reflect department characteristics as well as external department promotion tools, we investigated and analyzed department affiliated departments and department titles in 2020 targeting the Beauty Department of Central University. As a result of the study, the departments belonging to each of the four regions had the most beauty arts department (28.57%) and health department (50.00%). In Daejeon, beauty design (37.5%) was the most, and in Chungcheong, beauty care, beauty cosmetics, and medical beauty care (11.11%) were the most. Through this study, it will be possible to analyze the overall characterization trend of the Department of Beauty, and it will be used as an important basic data to suggest the future direction of the department when the departments are merged or separated in the future. In addition, I believe that it will provide a foothold for follow-up research on the curriculum for each department or the change of department name by year.

As the IT technology is progressing, the big data becomes more important and is exploited on the various industry. The R is the language and the environment analyzing the big data. The university which is the highest level of the academic organization keeps opening and maintaining the departments anticipating the needs of the progressing trends. As analyzing the names of the departments opened at the universities, it is possible to find out the requirements and the needs of the recent trends. In this paper, we analyze the names of the departments presented at the 4 year universities using the R. To do this, we collect the names of the departments and measure the frequency of the names in order to know the department of major frequently presented at the universities.

This study investigated the naming of departments in a university music school, particularly 'Applied Music'. The results of this study were used to explain the characteristics and foundation background of each 'Applied Music' department. In addition, explaining the misinterpretation of the Korean and English names of 'Applied Music'. This study will provide a guide to reach consensus on naming the department of 'Applied Music' and is expected to be useful to some universities planning to set up new majors in music schools, such as 'Applied Music'.
