  • This paper presents an active vibration control of a 1-DOF system using a hybrid mount which consists of elastic rubber and electromagnetic actuator. After identifying stiffness, damping properties of the elastic rubber and electromagnetic element, a mechanical model of the hybrid mount is established. The mount model is then incorporated into the 1-DOF system and the governing equation of motion is obtained in a state space. A sliding mode controller is designed in order to actively attenuate the vibration of the system control responses such as acceleration and transmitted force of the 1 -DOF system are presented in time domain.

  • A hybrid mount featuring elastic rubber and piezoelectric material is devised and applied to the vibration control of a beam structure. The governing equation of the beam structure associated with the hybrid mount is derived. Subsequently, a robust sliding mode controller is designed to attenuate the vibration of the beam structure due to external excitation. The controller is then simulated and control responses such as displacement and transmitted force are evaluated in time and frequency domains.

  • This paper presents active vibration control using a hybrid mount which consists of rubber element and the piezostack actuator. After identifying stiffness and damping properties of the rubber element and piezoelectric elements, a mechanical model of the hybrid mount is established. The mount model is then incorporated with the vibration system, and the governing equation of motion is obtained in a state space. A sliding mode controller and LQG controller are designed in order to actively attenuate the vibration of the system subjected to various frequencies and small magnitude excitations. Control responses such as acceleration and force transmission through the hybrid mount are evaluated by computer simulation.

  • In this work, an active hybrid mount using piezostack actuator and rubber element is manufactured, and its vibration control performance is evaluated via feedforward control. A hybrid active mount featuring inertia type of piezostack actuator is proposed and manufactured. After describing the configuration of the hybrid mount, a mount system is then constructed. To attenuate vibrations from vibration sources, a feedfoward controller is experimentally implemented to the system. Vibration control performances are evaluated at each mount. Effective control performances such as accelerations are obtained and presented in frequency domains.

  • In this study, the design procedure of hybrid active mount by an electro-magnetic actuator is proposed to reduce the transmitted force from naval shipboard equipment to ship hull structure. The hybrid type mount which is composed of a passive rubber element and an electro-magnetic actuator is introduced and, through the vibration measurement for the objective pump system, the required force of the actuator is computed and discussed in detail. The initial designs were supposed for three types, one is moving coil type actuator and the others are moving permanent magnet type actuators. Based on the initial design concept, the final designs considering shock resistance and interference with mover and stator are proposed and examined.
