차륜형 이동로봇 시스템의 하이브리드 시스템 모델과 제어 (An approach to hybrid system modeling and control for the mobile robot systems)

  • We propose the hybrid control for the path control of wheeled mobile robot system. To develop the hybrid control of mobile robot, the continuous dynamics of mobile robot are modeled by the switched systems. The abstract model and digital automata for the path control are developed. This hybrid control system has the 3-layered hierachical structure : digital automata as the higher process, mobile robot system as the lower process, and the interface as the interaction process between the continuous dynamics and the discrete dynamics. The control of following the desired-paths with edges are investigated as the applications by the computer simulation.

  • In this paper we propose a new approach to the autonomous wall-following of wheeled mobile robots using hybrid system reference motion synthesis and generation. The hybrid system approach is in-troduced to the motion control of nonholonomic mobile robots for the indoor navigation problems. In the dis-crete event system the discrete states are defined by the user-defined constraints and the reference mo-tion commands are specified in the abstracted motions. The hybrid control system applied for the non-holonomic mobile robots can combine the motion planning and autonomous navigation with obstacle avoid-ance for the indoor navigation problem. Simulation results show that hybrid system approach is an effective method for the autonomous navigation in indoor environments.

  • This paper addresses the control method for skating motion with a nonholonomic constraint. In order to generate a human-like skating motion, the behaviors of motion are distinctively analyzed into transient state and steady state. A close investigation of the behaviors evolved the characteristic of successive motions with transient state and steady state. Simulation results were intuitively comprehensible, and the effectiveness of control method was demonstrated for skating motion.

  • In this paper, an open architecture control system for automated container cranes is investigated. The hardware architecture for automating cranes is first discussed. A standard reference model for cranes based upon the OSACA platform is proposed, in which three modules are suggested: hardware module, operating system module, and application software module. Finally, a hybrid control system combining deliberative and reactive controls for autonomous operations of the cranes is implemented.

  • In this paper, we show that the rotor position of the bifilar-wound hybrid stepping motors for the closed-loop drives is detected by the phase current measurement. We propose an instantaneous phase current equation, which is the function of electrical angle, by modeling the stepping motor including motor driving circuits. We also analyze the relationship between phase current and rotor position from the computer simulation results. We show that the information about the rotor position is obtained from the phase current amplitude and its derivatives at the instance of ${\pi}/2$ electrical angle of excitation voltage.

  • 본 논문은 DC 모터와 MR(magnetorheological) 브레이크를 갖는 하이브리드 구동기의 제어 방법을 제안한다 로봇을 포함하여 여러 영역에서 이용되는 DC 모터는 대표적인 능동형구동기로 중량 대비 출력 이 작고, 출력한계로 인해 어느 정도 이상의 제어 이득에서 힘 제어 특성이 불안정해지는 성질이 있다. 따라서 이러한 DC 모터의 제어 불안정성을 해결하고, 투명성을 높이기 위해 반능동형 구동기인 MR 브레이크를 DC 모터와 병렬로 연결한 하이브리드 구동기를 제안하고 이에 대하여 네트워크 이론에 기반을 둔 제어 방법을 제안한다. 입력전류의 방향에 따라 스스로 출력을 내는 DC 모터와는 달리 MR 브레이크는 입력전류의 부호가 바뀌는 것에 상관없이 외부의 부하와 반대의 출력을 내는 것이 그 특징이다. 이러한 MR 브레이크의 성질을 수동적이라 하고 네트워크 이론의 수동성을 이용한 하이브리드 구동기의 힘 제어 방법을 제안하고 실험을 통해 이의 성능과 안정성을 입증하였다.

  • In this paper, we propose a design for an efficient hybrid LED street lighting management system using standalone solar photovoltaic. The proposed efficient hybrid LED street lighting management system was composed of hybrid power conditioning system, gateways, LED street lights and a monitoring server. The hybrid power conditioning system was designed to charge produced power by solar photovoltaic panels in day time, and supply power to the LED street lights in night time. If there is insufficient power, the system was designed to operate using firm power, because the system utilizes photovoltaic power. A system control algorithm allied to the lighting management system, and experimented by being configured to the functions that are able to perform real-time monitoring and remote control through the lighting management system even when absent. In the result of the efficiency analysis of the hybrid lighting management system proposed in this paper, we were able to increase the energy efficiency compared to existing lighting control systems by reducing power consumption and electricity costs.

  • AFC (Adaptive Feedforward Control) is significantly employed for improving control performance of dynamic systems particularly involving periodic disturbance signals in engineering fields. This paper presents a novel hybrid AFC approach for discrete-time systems with multiple disturbances in terms of control input and state variables. The proposed AFC mechanism is hierarchically composed of a conventional feedforward control framework and PID auxiliary control configuration in parallel. The former is generic to decrease periodic disturbance excited to control actuators and the latter is additionally constructed to overcome control deterioration due to time-varying uncertainty under given systems. We carry out numerical simulation to test reliability of our proposed hybrid AFC system and compare its control performance to a well-known conventional AFC method with respect to time and frequency domains for proving of its superiority.

  • This paper discusses a human body extraction method for mobile robot system. The skeleton features are used to analyze human motion and pose estimation. The intelligent robot system requires more robust silhouette extraction method because it has internal vibration and low resolution. The new hybrid silhouette extraction method is proposed to overcome this constrained environment. Finally, the experimental results show the superiority of the Proposed method.
