Hamel has a scholastic value as the first person, who announces Jeju and Korea to Europe. However, there has been little research on developing digital contents except a few books about Hamel. We develop an educational game on PDA using Hamel, based on Hamel character, Jeju's unique culture, multimedia technology, and so on. Compared with the previous games, it is different from the form of gathering points and has various game scenarios through interactions between Hamel character and game space. The structure of this game, which connects Jeju culture and cyber space together, represents the form of a digital storytelling. You can study through this game. It uses quizzes about Jeju culture, crossword puzzles, finding a sequence, finding differences between two pictures to teach users, and fixing pieces of a figure, etc. When we made the game, we divided it into some independent modules to make new game series easily using contents of the other provinces.

The purpose of this study is to know how to utilize foreigners such as Weltevree and Hamel who visited Korea in the pre-modern period, during history class. Both Weltevree and Hamel were Dutch men, and the first person who visited the Joseon Dynasty was Weltevree. He was a sailor of the Dutch East India Company, landed on Jeju Island in 1627, and since then, he did not return to his country. He played a major role in the execution of weapons. Hammel, the merchant catcher of the Dutch East India Company, traveled to Joseon in 1653 and contacted several kinds of people in various parts of the country for 13 years, and was able to survey the scenery and customs of Joseon. It can be difficult for students to understand the overall trends of the world history and the views of the East and the West because students learn from Western history, East Asian history, and Korean history, separately. Learning characteristics associated with East-West exchanges will enable students to understand the Western and Eastern history of the West, and understand the history of the world.

The purpose of this study is to define Juan Mayorga's play Hamelin as a Post-Epic Theatre and to study the practical directing technique for Hamelin as a Post-Epic Theatre. Post-Epic Theatre, which appeared after the Post-drama, has the purpose of presenting social issues, communicating interactively between the actors and the audience, and making the audience think about the issues presented by the techniques of immersion and alienation. To this end, after examining the theoretical background of the Post-Epic Theatre, the characteristics of the Post-Epic Theatre of Hamelin were identified and based on these features, '1. Building a visual image based on a Cubistic multifocal concept' and '2. The concept of directing was derived from reinforcing Meta-drama through role-playing'. Next, the actual directing technique was discussed, focusing on the chain action of immersion and alienation that occurs in the form of communication between actors and audiences. '1. Presenting the characteristics of the work through Post-Epic Theatre scenography', '2. Co-existence of actors and characters', '3. Building and utilizing body-centered gestus' are them. As a result, demanding an active attitude from the audience, various experiences such as critical thinking of the audience, strengthening the characteristics of post-epic dramas, and active meaning creation were made possible.

Namakshin(: Wooden clogs), also called keukja, moklee, or mokhye usually have high heels to be worn on rainy days. According to the "Hamel's Journal and a description of the Kingdom of Korea, 1653-1666", a book authored by Hendrick Hamel (1630-1692), the 33 crew members of the S/S Sperwer were interned in March 1656 under the jurisdiction of the "Pyongsa" (Commandant) in Pyongyong, Kangjin and they were instrumental in making clogs of their native country and sold them to people around the Pyongyong area to earn some extra money. Pyongyong & Gangjin's wooden shoes are clearly different from those produced in the rest of Korea and bear striking resemblance to traditional Dutch clogs (klompen in Dutch). According to Hamel's narratives, the Dutch captives made wooden shoes for a living in Jeonlla province. Namakshin in Chosun was divided into 5 type, woman's rubber shoes, Condora, Taesahye, Balmaksin, trough style.

The establishment of differentiated place image is becoming more important as a cultural tourism development policy in order to secure regional identity and boost regional economy. Place marketing strategies using culturally and historically differentiated regional places is very valuable as part of a regional development strategy to strengthen regional competitiveness. To construct place image as a differentiated brand, place image positioning suitable for a specific place and region needs to be established and comprehensive marketing strategies are required to generate various synergy effects. Based on existing theories and discussions regarding place and place marketing, this study is aimed at seeking for possibility as a cultural activity space and its more efficient use plans by selecting a region which has historical and cultural backgrounds and assets about Hamel's drift and stay. For these purposes, this study investigated historical and cultural backgrounds through a case study and made suggestions about brand making and place image promotion. In addition, this study aimed to examine efficient plans and utilization possibility for comprehensive image construction.

죽산술은 붓이나 연필 등으로 셈하는 산필이 아니라 산기로써 하는 셈법이다. 우리나라에 지금까지 알려진 옛셈법은 산목셈이나 서산을 이용한 셈이 있었다. 그중 산목셈에 관한 문헌은 1653년 청주도에 표류한 화란인 "하멜"의 기록이나 한말 일인의 기록에 나타난다. 그러나 산목셈의 한 유형로 보이는 죽산술에 대해서는 산가치(죽기)로 셈하는 방법이 있었다는 사실만 알려져 있을뿐 그 산법은 전혀 파악하지 못하고 있었다. 이렇게 전혀 파악되지 못햇던 우리나라 고유죽산술이 김선종씨(46세)에 의해서 발표되었다.
