Development of the Low Insertion force Grommet for Vechicle (차량용 저삽입력 그로멧 개발)

  • 본 논문에서는 당사인 경신공업(주)와 스미토모전장(주)와의 기술제휴를 통한 신제품 개발 프로젝트를 통하여 진행 한 연구 내용이다. 현재 자동차의 주요 부품 중 하나인 Dash-Grommet는 실외에서 실내부로 직부되는 부분으로 방수성이 주요한 성능이다. 이에 따라 현재 방수성 향상을 위해 볼팅으로 씰링을 하는 구조로서 브라켓트를 적용하고 있으며, 볼팅 툴 사용에 따른 홀 위치가 센터로 이동함에 따라 와이어 하네스 성형성을 위해 프로텍터를 적용하고 있다. 이와 관련하여 작업자의 툴 사용에 따른 산업재해(근골격계)요인 및 원가 상승의 원인이 되고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 그로멧 씰링구조를 최적화하여 브라켓트를 삭제시키고, 인간 공학적 구조 검토를 통한 저삽입력 구조의 Dash-Grommet 개발에 그 목적을 두었다. 그로멧 3중 씰링 구조를 이용하여 주요 성능인 방수(침수/살수) 성능에 대한 문제를 해결하였으며, 내부 파이프 구조를 이용하여 와이어를 통한 수분 유입에 대한 수밀 대책이 마련 되도록 하였다. 또한, 돌기부 구조를 이용하여 차량 장착시 판넬 접촉면을 최소화 함으로써 실제차량 장착 작업시 저삽입력을 가능하게 하였으며, 이와 더불어 홈부 구조를 이용하여 차량 장착시 그로멧의 수축을 용이하게 함으로써 새로운 그로멧 삽입 메커니즘을 구현하여 기존 대비 40~50%의 저 삽입력 그로멧을 개발할 수 있었다.

  • Today, livestock industry grows faster and bigger. The number of livestock numbers per farm also grows rapidly. The bigger farms need more sophisticated control of livestock to prevent from all possible diseases, especially contagious diseases. In Korea, diseases cause serious economic loss of 2 trillion won every year, which is about 20% of the total production output. Researches on the wireless bio-signal monitoring technology for livestock are of great importance in the world. In this paper, as a way to predict the possible diseases, we propose a measurement method of the pulse of dairy cows for the continuous health monitoring. It is possible to measure a pulse from central artery and the left chest-wall of the cow. The pulse from central artery is measured by the sensor attached at the tail winding. The pulse at the left chest-wall can also be measured with our newly designed harness.

  • This paper is a study of TPS Migration to a multi-purpose ATS which is used for functional testing of Avionics parts. The dedicated ATS used for the performance test of avionics parts has a lot of difficulties in domestic MRO companies that carry out maintenance of high-level avionics ranging from tens of thousands won to several hundreds of billions won. For this reason, in this paper, I have studied the procedure of TPS migration to use the wire-harness in generators used in A aircraft, which is a maintenance product using a dedicated ATS, as a general-purpose ATS. Through the proposed study, We confirmed the 100% performance verification after the TPS migration from the proprietary to the general purpose. It is possible to expand infinitely through the standardization of the procedure.

Injury Study of Older Children Anthropomorphic Test Device with CRS Harness Belt and Vehicle Level Crash Test (CRS 하네스 벨트 사용에 따른 어린이 인체 모형 상해 연구 및 실차 레벨 충돌 평가)

  • For years, Q1.5 (anthropomorphic test device for 1.5 years old infant) and Q3 (anthropomorphic test device for 3 years old infant) dummy protection has been improved considerably by the effort of EuroNCAP. ISOFIX strength of vehicle structure has increased and many child occupant protection tests have made child restraint system (hereafter CRS) optimized for child safety. However, from 2016, EuroNCAP changed the dummy which is used for the child occupant protection from Q1.5/Q3 to Q6/Q10 and these were also adopted in KNCAP from 2017. Therefore, a new method is required to secure the safety for older children In this research, child dummies were tested by using adult safety systems, and the different results from each adult restraint system were compared. Finally, dummies were tested with the CRS harness belt commonly used for infants, which has yielded significant result. In this research, mid-sized sedan and small SUV were used for the test. The researchers of this paper performed sled tests to correlate between the different adult safety belt system and child injury. Following the sled test, an actual vehicle test was conducted to gather the injury data of Q-dummy with the CRS harness belts. This paper will show the advantages of applying a pre-tensioner in the second row for child protection and the necessity of CRS which has its own harness belts to improve safety for older children.

Simulator Development of Wireless Avionics Intra-Communications (항공기내 무선 네트워크용 시뮬레이터 개발)

  • Recently, many researches have been conducted on the aviation industry to replace the wire harness cable between the avionics of the aircraft with the wireless network. In this paper, we present an Event-Based Simulator for Wireless Avionics Intra-Communications (ES-WAIC) that can verify core technologies of wireless networks and efficiently integrate different layers of the network. ES-WAIC is developed to enhance the readability between the real time control application developers of the higher layer and the network layer developers. Specifically, the practical implement relies on an event-based programming concept to increase portability and compatibility that can be applied to the realistic low-power wireless embedded networks. ES-WAIC implements the overall system layers including the wireless channel modeling of the 4.4GHz band, the physical layer, the medium access control, the network, and the application layer of wireless avionics intra-communications.

  • This thesis is about the evaluation method of field uniformity for radiated immunity test of vehicle component. Radiated immunity test is to find out whether a EUT has enough immunity or hold normal operation during applied electromagnetic interference. Field Uniformity(FU) measurement is essential for generate uniform field on DUT and Harness. But Standard of Radiated Immunity(RI) test for vehicle component based on ISO 11452-2 has not been specified a Field Uniformity(FU). So compared and analyzed with other standard which is defined by a specified a Field Uniformity. As a result, deviation occurs in the difference test condition and test method. In this thesis, proposal new measurement method of field uniformity that is considered test conditions of ISO 11452-2 and check the validity through actual test.

The Effect of Coordinative Pattern Exercise of Upper and Lower Extremities use Harness for Walking Ability and Balance Ability in Chronic Stroke Patients (하네스를 착용한 상하지 협응 패턴운동이 만성 뇌졸중 환자의 보행능력과 균형능력에 미치는 영향)

  • Purpose: The current study seeks to examine the effect of coordinative pattern exercises of the upper and lower extremities using harnesses and walking rails on the walking and balance abilities of chronic stroke patients, and to develop effective programs and training methods to improve the functions of such patients. Methods: Subjects included 16 patients with hemiplegia caused by stroke. The subjects were randomly divided into an experimental group (n=8), on which coordinative pattern exercises of the upper and lower extremities were conducted, and a comparison group (n=8) that received typical exercise therapy. The experimental group underwent 30 minutes of typical exercise therapy and 30 minutes of coordinative pattern exercises of the upper and lower extremities, while the comparison group underwent typical exercise therapy for 30 minutes twice a day, five days per week for a six-week period. To evaluate walking ability, 10-m walking tests (10MWT) and 6-m walking tests (6MWT) were conducted. To assess balance ability, timed up and go tests (TUG) were performed. Results: After the intervention, significant (p<0.05) differences were seen in the 10MWT, 6MWT, and TUG in both the experimental and comparison groups. As for the 10MWT, the experimental group showed more significant improvement than the comparison group (p<0.05). In terms of the 6MWT, no significant differences were found between the groups, while the experimental group showed more significant differences than the comparison group in the TUG (p<0.05). Conclusion: The results from the current research indicate that training programs that apply coordinative pattern exercises of the upper and lower extremities with harnesses are extremely effective for improving the walking and balance abilities of chronic stroke patients.

A Method of Plotting Component A Scaled Waveform for Aircraft Lightning Test (항공기 낙뢰 시험을 위한 Component A 축소 파형 도식화 방법)

  • Lightning can deliver large amounts of energy to the aircraft in a short period of time, resulting in catastrophic consequence. In particular, lightning strikes accompanied by high temperature heat and current can damage aircraft surface and internal electronic equipment, seriously affecting flight safety. Lightning experiments to analyze this effect use a Component A waveform with a maximum current of 200 kA as specified in SAE ARP 5412B. However, the actual lightning occurs mostly below 35kA and lightning indirect tests are conducted by reducing waveforms to prevent damage to internal electronic equipment. In this study, we examine previous methods to plot the Component A reduced waveform and identify their limitations. We then propose a new method to plot the reduced waveform based on adjusting the correction factor of the aircraft lightning Component A waveform. Finally, the electromagnetic analysis software EMA3D was used to compare the internal induced current size reduction ratio of the internal cable harness of the EC-155B helicopter.

Optimum design of injection mold heater for uniform curing of LSR seal for waterproof connector (방수 커넥터용 LSR Seal의 균일 경화를 위한 사출 금형 히터의 최적 설계)

  • Automotive waterproof connectors are highly functional parts that must be air-tight in a complex environment. In the LSR multi-cavity injection molding process for manufacturing waterproof connectors, it is important to maintain a uniform curing temperature between the cavities in order to obtain a quality product. For this purpose, we designed the capacity of the cartridge heater differently for each position, and then linked the heat transfer analysis and optimization module to obtain the optimal cartridge heater capacity. As a result of the optimization analysis, the temperature deviation between cavities was decreased from $13.1^{\circ}C$ to $8.1^{\circ}C$ compared with the case in which constant heater capacity was applied, so that the design criterion could be satisfied within a temperature deviation of $10^{\circ}C$ for uniform curing. This study suggests that this method can be applied efficiently to the design of a large area multi-cavity LSR mold heater.

  • 한국천문연구원은 차세대소형위성 1호의 근적외선 영상분광기 NISS (Near-infrared Imaging Spectrometer for Star formation history) 탑재체를 개발하여 2017년 6월 30일에 최종 비행모델을 납품하였고, 이 발표는 탑재체 NISS 구조체의 비행모델 개발 결과를 보고한다. NISS는 0.9 - 2.5um (R~20) 근적외선 파장에서 관측을 해야 하기 때문에, 구조체의 배경잡음을 없애기 위해서 200K까지 passive cooling으로 냉각되며, H2RG 검출기는 소형 냉동기에 의해 약 88K에서 운영된다. NISS 구조체의 passive cooling을 효율적으로 수행하기 위해서 방열판, Kevlar 지지대, MLI, 표면제어용 필름 등을 조립하였고, 실제 지상 시험을 통해서 그 성능을 확인하였다. NISS 구조체는 최종 시스템 조립 과정에서 전자부 하네스 조립을 함께 수행했으며, 온도 모니터링 센서를 부착하고 소형 냉동기 피드백 온도를 반복 시험을 통해서 결정하였다. NISS 구조체는 미러 및 렌즈를 지지하는 광기계부를 함께 포함하기 때문에 발사 및 우주환경에서 광학 성능을 유지하기 위한 설계를 거쳐서 제작 되었으며, 최종 시스템 검교정 시험, 진동 및 열진공 시험을 통해서 그 성능을 확인하였다. NISS를 탑재한 차세대소형위성 1호는 2018년 상반기에 미국의 Falcon 9 발사체에 실려서 발사될 예정이다.
