  • A wideband active noise cancelling system involves adaptive filters with hundreds of taps. The computational burden required with these long adaptive filters. This paper presents active noise cancelling system using M-channel QMF filter banks in which the adaptive weights are computed in subbands. The analysis and synthesis filter banks use cosine-modulated pseudo QMF filters. The reference signal for on-line identification of error path transfer characteristics is used to difference signal between the output of adaptive filters and the output of lowpass subband filters. The proposed adaptive subband filter bank suggests robust active noise cancelling system retaining the computational complexity and convergence speed advantaged of subband processing.

  • In this paper. an image compression of embedded zerotree structure using multiwavelet filter banks is proposed. Multiwavelet is used DGHM(Donovan, Geronimo, Hardin, and Massopust) scaling functions and wavelet functions of a new method with two channel fillet banks. The important properties of the DGHM multiwavelet are orthogonality and approximation order. The DCHM muitiwavelet using the this paper preserves the approximation order=2 for better energy compaction and perfect reconstruction. Image compression using the preposed DGHM multiwavelet is better PSNR for compression ratio than single Daubechies wavelet(D4), Biorthogoanl wavelet, and GHM(Geronimo, Hardin, and Massopust) multi wavelet.

  • 본 논문은 음향 임펄스를 모델링하는데 코사인 변조된 필터 뱅크와 Decimation을 이용하여 수렴 속도를 개선하는 방법을 제안하고 이를 잡음제거에 응용하였다. 제안된 구조는 입력신호를 필터뱅크를 이용하여 각 서브밴드로 분할한 후 필터 입력신호의 고유벡터의 최대값과 최소값의 비를 줄이고 필터의 탭수를 줄이기 위해서 decimation을 행한다. 그리고 서브밴드대역의 샘플링 주파수를 낮추어 신호 스펙트럼을 확장시켜 이를 적응필터에 입력하여 수렴속도를 향상시켰다. 실험 결과, Colored잡음의 경우 LMS 알고리즘보다 제안된 방법이 MSE(Mean Square Error)는 좋지는 않았다. 실제 음향시스템의 모델링에는 거의 같은 MSE을 갖으며, 수렴 속도에는 모두 빠른 성능을 보였으며, 이를 음질향상에 적용하여 향상된 음질을 얻을 수 있었다.

  • 본 논문에서는 응급상황이 신고되는 상황에서 수보자에게 전달되는 신고자의 주변음향신호로부터 신고자의 주변상황을 추정하기 위하여 음향의 주파수적 특성 및 변화특성의 모델링 성능이 뛰어난 Gabor 필터뱅크 기반의 특징벡터 추출 기술 및 분류 성능이 뛰어난 심화신경망을 도입한다. 제안하는 Gabor 필터뱅크 기반의 특징벡터 추출 기법은 비음성 구간 검출기를 통하여 음성/비음성을 구분한 후에 비음성 구간에서 23차의 Mel-filter bank 계수를 추출한 후에 이로부터 Gabor 필터를 이용하여 주변상황 추정을 위한 특징벡터를 추출하고, 이로부터 학습된 심화신경망을 통하여 신고자의 장소적 정보를 추정한다. 제안된 기법은 여러 가지 시나리오 환경에서 평가되었으며, 우수한 분류성능을 보였다.

We select a desired pure time-delay system as reference model, and then consider the error system between the mutirate filter bank and the reference model. 1'he synthesis filters minimize the ι$_2$-induced norm of the error system.

  • When finite length image signal is decomposed into M-band synthesized using M-band orthogonal wavelet transform, the boundary signal of image are not reconstructed perfectly. for boundary signals to be reconstructed perfectly, different type filter bank or technique is applied to them when the dimension of analysed is proposed. It can be designed using the singular value decomposition of boundary perfect reconstruction matrix which is obtained from paraunitary matrix which is obtained from paraunitary matrix. And it is also discussed to design the boundary filter bank for improving the coding performance when it is applied to subband coder. The proposed boundary filter bank shows 7% gains in PSNR compared with reflected method.

  • Adaptive digital filtering and noise cancelling technique using a tree structured filter bank are presented to reduce a undesirable aliasing due to the decimation of filtered output and improve the performance in terms of mean-square error and the convergence speed using a aliasing canceller. A signal is split into two subband by analysis filter bank and decimated by decimator and reconstructed by interpolation technique and synthesis filter bank. A variable step-size LMS algorithm is used to improve the convergence speed in case of existing the measurement noise in desired input of filter. It is shown by computer simulation that the proposed subband structure in this paper is superior to conventional subband filter structure in terms of mean-square error and convergence speed.

  • In this paper a low-power DWT(Discrete Wavelet Transform) design technique is proposed. As basic low-pass filter for analysis bank, comb filter is utilized, and in order to improve frequency response for the comb filter, a fourth order polynomial is also proposed. Another filters are designed by using perfect reconstruction conditions. The lowpass filter coefficients of the analysis filter bank are optimized based on the cost function and perfect reconstruction condition. The number of the multiplications and MSE(Mean Squared Error) performance of the proposed DWT filter bank are compared with those of the JPEG2000 (9, 7) filter bank. It is shown that number of multiplications of the proposed filter bank are saved with 33.3%, and MSE values of the proposed filter bank are also superior to those of the JPEG2000 (9, 7) filter bank.
