The Effects of Job Stress with Depression and Fatigue of Firemen (소방관의 직무스트레스가 우울 및 피로에 미치는 영향)

  • This study aims to identify job stress of firemen and the relations between their job stress, depression and fatigue, targeting firemen who are working for local fire stations. We interviewed the subjects using a short-answer type questionnaire or a online questionnaire. The data collected were analysed with a use of SPSS WIN 15.0 for confidence analysis, correlation analysis, step-by-step multi-regression analysis, and covariance structure analysis(CSA). This study result tasks and emotional stress had a direct effect on depression and fatigue. Therefore, this study suggests that governmental management should be provided for firemen that are classified as a high-risk group in occupational characteristics. Above all, the causes of stress should be diagnosed, its management goals should be set, and effective intervention programs should be provided.

Flexural Fatigue Bechavior of Steel Fiber Reinforced Concrete Structures (강섬유보강 콘크리트의 휨 피로거동에 관한 연구)

  • In this thesis, the fatigue tests were performed on a series of SFRC(steel fiber reinforced concrete) to investigate the fatigue behavior of SFRC varying with the steel fiber contents and the steel fiber aspect ratios. The three point loading system is used in the fatigue tests. In tl1ese tests, relations between the repeated loading cycles and the mid-span deflections, number of repeated loadmg cycles when specimen was fractured were observed. On this basis, the mid-span deflections, the elastic strain energy and inelastic strain energy of SFRC were studied. A S - N curve \vas drawn to present the fatigue strength of SFRC beam. From che test results, by increasing the steel fiber content the energy lost on the permanent deformation decreases and the energy spent on crack growth increases. But in case of SFRC with the same steel fiber content the higher the steel fiber aspect ratio is, the less the elastic strain energy is. According to S - N curve drawn by the regression analysis on the fatugue test results, the fatigue strength with 2,000,000 repeated loading cycles in SFRC with the steel fiber content is 1.0% shows about 70% on the first crack static flexural strength.

  • A laboratory investigation was conducted to characterize the flexural fatigue behavior of high performance fiber reinforced cement mortar. Five specimens for statics flexural test and fourteen specimens for the flexural fatigue test were made based on the fiber mixing ratio. Static flexural tests were firstly performed to obtain magnitudes of static failure loads and stress levels before flexural fatigue tests. The flexural fatigue behaviors were investigated based on the stress level and fiber mixing ratio. Also, the equations for the interrelation of the flexural fatigue stress levels with the number at loading cycle were proposed.

  • The objective of this paper is to identify the fatigue properties of carbon-fiber composite which is widely applied for the development of aircraft structures and obtain data for full-scale fatigue test. The durability and damage tolerance evaluation of composite structures is achieved by fatigue tests and parameters such as fatigue life factor and load enhancement factor. The specimens are made with carbon-fiber/epoxy UD tape and fabric prepreg. Fatigue tests are performed with several stress ratios and lay-up patterns. The Weibull shape parameters are analyzed by Sendeckyj model and individual fatigue lives with Weibull distribution. And the fatigue life factor and load enhancement factor considering reliability are evaluated.

  • The MEPDG(Mechanistic-Empirical Pavement Design Guide) developed based on the AASHTO Design Guide helps engineers find optimal alternatives by using traffic volume, climate, material property, and pavement structure as its input parameters. However, because technical problems were found in the MEPDG, efforts to improve the program by settling the problems have been continued. Meanwhile, another mechanistic-empirical design program has been developed by the KPRP(Korea Pavement Research Program) in Korea. To develop and improve the Korean design program reasonably, it is necessary to analyze the MEPDG and then compare programs each other. For concrete pavement, fatigue cracking is predicted by using very complicated logic different from other performance indicators. Therefore, in this paper, transfer functions of the fatigue cracking used in the version of 0.5, 1.0, and 1.1 of the MEPDG were analyzed. Sensitivity of the input parameters to the cumulative fatigue damage was compared to each other by the MEPDG version and KPRP.

Comparison of pain, fatigue, and Achilles tendon in female college students wearing high heels and flat shoes: A Preliminary Study (여대생의 하이힐 착용에 따른 하지 통증, 피로, 아킬레스건의 융복합 비교: 예비연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the differences of the lower back pain, fatigue, and Achilles tendon thickness according to wearing and not wearing high heels in order to understand symptoms of musculoskeletal diseases caused by wearing high heels in college students. lower extremity pain fatigue and achilles tendon thickness were measured in high heel wear group (n=19) and non high heels wear group (n=23). Participants' general characteristics and the lower extremity pain, fatigue, and Achilles tendon thickness were analyzed using mean, standard deviation. Differences in lower extremity pain, fatigue, and achilles tendon thickness were analyzed by independent t-test. The results showed that the difference between the participants' lower extremity pain (t=2.28, p=.028), right achilles tendon thickness (t=2.30, p=.027) and left achilles tendon thickness (t= 3.89, p<.001) The results of this study show that convergence approach can be applied as a basis for health problems in the structure and function of musculoskeletal disorders associated with wearing high heels. In the future, follow up observation according to the wearing of high heels in the same subject will be needed.

  • The service life of steel bridges can be assured only when their strength, serviceability and fatigue safety are fulfilled. However, at the present time, the continuous research for fatigue of steel bridges is desperately required since not much research work has been done so far. In this study, a guideline on the fatigue design is suggested for the practical purpose in order to establish the long-term safety of steel bridges against fatigue. The continuous steel truss bridge was analyzed for the cumulative reversals of the actual traffic, stress ranges and fatigue strength. From the results, the domestic fatigue design procedure was found to be fairly overestimated in comparison to the design code of other foreign countries. Therefore, it is necessary to review the current fatigue design specifications and have the new and rationalized design criteria in the future domestic fatigue design guidance.

  • 어느 산업체이든 설계. 제작한 부품 또는 기계가 기대했던 수명에 달하기전에 부셔지는 경우를 여러 번 당하였으리라 믿는다. 이러한 많은 파괴 현상중 가장 빈도가 많은 것이 피로 파괴인데 피로 파괴의 근본적인 개념을 아직 우리나라 산업체에서는 습득하고 있지 못한 관계로 피로 파 괴원인을 분석하고 방지대책을 세우는데 여러 가지로 어려움을 느끼게 된다. 그 큰 이유중 하 나는 피로 파괴학(fatigue fracture engineering)의 역사가 짧고 또 아직까지 국내 대학 학부 교과 과정에서 심도있게 다루고 있지 않고 있기 때문이라 생각한다. 앞으로 제품의 품질면에서 국제 경쟁력을 높이며 새로운 착상에 의한 신제품을 개발하기 위해서는 이 분야의 사전지식은 필수 적이다. 이러한 의미에서 본 글에서는 산업체에 종사하시는 분들 중 이 분야에 대해 별다른 지 식이 없는 분을 위해 개략적인 개념을 중심으로 피로 파괴학을 소개하고자 한다.

Study on Fatigue Analysis of DCB structure using FEM (FEM을 이용한 DCB 구조체의 피로 해석에 관한 연구)

  • 본 논문에서는 접착제로 접합된 DCB 구조체의 피로 해석을 수행하였다. 두께가 25및 40 mm인 두 모델들의 피로수명과 피로손상의 해석 결과를 비교해보면, 두께 25 mm인 모델이 두께 40 mm인 모델에 비하여 수명과 손상이 불리한 것으로 나타났으며 불규칙 피로하중에서는 'SAE transmission'에서 가장 불리한 값을 나타냈다. 또한 'SAE transmission'에서 가장 안정한 경향을 보이고 있고 상대적인 손상으로서 약 1.1에서 1.8 % 정도로 가장 작은 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구에서 얻어진 해석 결과를 접착제로 접합된 실제 복합재 구조물에 적용시켜 피로거동을 분석하고 그 기계적인 특성을 파악할 수 있다.

피로수명 계산용 Off-Line 전산 프로그램 개발

  • 기존의 발전소 피로수명 평가 프로그램들은 On-Line Fatigue Analysis애 중점을 두고 개발되어 운전 초기부터 Transient모니터링 프로그램이 설치되는 시점까지의 Transient 데이터가 확보되지 않은 오래된 발전소의 경우 전 수명기간 동안의 피로수명 계산에 어려움이 많다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 특별한 경우를 제외하고는 Off-Line 계산을 하는 것이 경제적이고 피로수명 평가에 문제가 되지 않는다고 판단하여 Transient 모니터링을 용해 Transient 종류를 파악하고 이를 데이터베이스화 한뒤 충분한 시간을 가지고 Transient 이력 과 응력데이타를 조합하여 CUF를 계산하는 등 프로그램 기능의 모듈화를 시도하여 필요한 기능을 지속적으로 보완 개발해 나갈 수 있도록 하였다. 본 Software는 국내 원전이 Transient Counting이나 피로분석의 전산화와 관련한 경험이 부족하고 또 외국 프로그램을 도입하여 사용하기에는 과거 데이터가 부족하여 활용에 어려움이 많을 것을 고려하여 기존의 수작업에 의한 Fatigue Evaluation 의 불편함을 보완하고 On-Line Analysis의 필요성과 Off-Line Analysis외 경제성을 적절히 조합하여 현재 발전소 환경에서 가장 적절히 사용할 수 있도록 개발 을 추진하였고 향후 필요한 기능은 지속적으로 보완함으로써 발전소 수명관리에 유용하게 사용될 것이다.
