A Fast Distributed Video Decoding by Frame Adaptive Parity Bit Request Estimation (프레임간 적응적 연산을 이용한 패리티 비트의 예측에 의한 고속 분산 복호화)

  • Recently, many research works are focusing on DVC (Distributed Video Coding) system for low complexity encoder. However the feedback channel-based parity bit control is a major cause of the high decoding time latency. Spatial and temporal correlation is high in video and, therefore, the statistical property can be applied for the parity bit request of LDPCA frame. By introducing frame adaptive parity bit request estimation method, this paper proposes a new method for reducing the decoding time latency. Through computer simulations, it is shown that the proposed method achieves about 80% of complexity reduction, compared to the conventional no-estimation method.

  • Rel-time application programs have constraints which need to be met between media-data. It is client-leading synchronization that is absorbing variable transmission delay time and that is synchronizing by feedback control and palyout control. It is the important factor for playback rate and QoS if the buffer level is normal or not. This paper, The method of maintenance buffer normal state transmits in multimedia server by appling feedback of filtering function. And synchronization method is processing adaptive playout time for smooth presentation without cut-off while media frame is skip. When audio frame which is master media is in upper threshold buffer level we decrease play out time gradually, low threshold buffer level increase it slowly.

Model-based Gain Scheduling Strategy for Air-to-fuel Ratio Control Algorithm of Passenger Car Diesel Engines (승용디젤엔진의 공연비 제어 알고리즘을 위한 모델기반 게인 스케줄링 전략에 대한 연구)

  • This study presents a model-based gain scheduling strategy for PI-based EGR controllers. The air-to-fuel ratio is used as an indirect measurement of the EGR rate. In order to cope with the nonlinearity and parameter varying characteristics of the EGR system, we proposed a static gain model of the EGR system using a new scheduling parameter. With the 810 steady-state measurements, the static gain model achieved 0.94 of R-squared value. Based on the static gain of the EGR system, the PI gains were robustly designed using quantitative feedback theory. Consequently, the gains of the PI controller are scheduled according to the static gain parameter of the EGR path in runtime. The proposed model-based gain scheduling strategy was validated through various operating conditions of engine experiments such as setpoint step responses and disturbance rejections.

  • The purpose of this paper is to develop a courseware based on GIS (Geographic Information System) for improving visual and spatial learning efficiency of geography learning. The existing coursewares are not easy to encourage the learners in learning motivation, because these provide only the visual information using simple texts or imamges to the learners. To overcome these constraints, our courseware using GIS that can support spatial information can control the attribute information of map. In this paper, we define the courseware as the geography learning system. This courseware system enables the learners to take the perfect learning and the repetitive learning through the feedback after evaluating the learning degree. Also using geography learning application modules we implemented, the learners can participate directly in learning as well as search information in WWW.

  • The adaptive filter is proposed for removing EOG from measured EEG on the frontal lobe. The proposed adaptive filter has been implemented and the feedback output control algorithm has been employed to control the alpha wave ratio on the basis of TMS320C31 DSP board with the on-line and real time performance. The feedback algorithm controls the input voltage of stimulating devices on the portable bio-feedback system. The EEG data are acquired at the $F_{p1}$ and $F_{p2}$ localization and are processed by the proposed adaptive filter. We demonstrated that the proposed adaptive filter could effectively remove EOG from the measured EEG on the frontal lobe and the feedback algorithm is proper to control the output voltage of DSP board using the ratio of the alpha wave.

  • 현재 지구 환경 오염에 관한 관심이 증가하면서, 공해가 없는 자연 에너지원에 대한 연구가 많이 진행되고 있다. 그 중에서도 태양전지 분야중 염료감응형 태양전지(DSC)는 Si계 태양전지와 비교하여 낮은 제조비용등 여러 가지 이유로 최근 많은 연구가 진행되고 있다. 따라서 DSC 발전 시스템의 효율 향상이 요구된다. 본 연구에서는 태양전지 분야 중에서 독립적인 발전설비가 필요한 도서 및 산간 지역에 전력을 안정적으로 공급할 수 있는 소형발전용의 설비로 "전압 및 전류의 피드백을 통한 DSC Cell의 독립전원의 안정화"에 관해 연구하였다. DSC Cell측의 DC입력을 받아 Boost Converter로 승압 후 Full Bridge 인버터를 사용하여 단상 220V 60Hz의 상용전원으로 변환하였다. 여기서는 32Bit 마이크로프로세서인 DSP TMS320F2812의 A/D변환기능을 이용하여 Boost Converter의 스위칭과 Full Bridge 인버터의 스위칭을 제어하였다. 특히 TMS320F2812의 RTC(Real Time Clock)를 이용하여 출력전압의 안정성 향상에 주목적을 두었다. 실험결과 출력단에서는 220V 변동범위 0.2% 주파수 60Hz의 상용전원을 얻었으며, 프로그램의 개선을 통하여 출력전압의 변동범위를 감소시켜야 될 것이다.

Characteristics of the Muscular Activities on the Feedback Control of Elbow Orthosis Using Pneumatic Rubber Artificial Muscle (공압 고무 인공근육을 장착한 주관절 보조기 피드백 제어 시 근력 특성)

  • An elbow orthosis with a pneumatic rubber actuator has been developed to assist and enhance upper limbs movements and has been examined for the effectiveness. The effectiveness of the elbow orthosis was examined by comparing muscular activities during alternate dumbbell curl motion wearing and not wearing the orthosis. The subjects participated in the experiment were younger adults in their twenties. The subjects were instructed to perform dumbbell curl motion in a sitting position wearing and not wearing orthosis in turn and a dynamometer was used to measure elbow joint torque outputs in an isokinetic mode. Orthosis was controlled using contractile muscle force that is measured from force sensor through cDAQ-9172 board. The air pressure of the pneumatic actuator was 0.3MPa the most suitable air pressure. For the analysis of muscular activities, Electromyography of the subjects was measured during alternate dumbbell curl motion. The experiment results showed that the muscular activities wearing the elbow orthosis were reduced. With this, we confirmed the effectiveness of the developed elbow orthosis.

Response between Collocated Sensor and Actuator Bonded on a Smart Panel (지능판에 동위치화된 압전 센서-액추에이터의 응답특성 연구)

  • A smart panel with structural sensors and actuators for minimizing noise radiation or transmission is described in the paper with the concept of active structural acoustical control. The sensors and actuators are both quadratically shaped piezoelectric polyvinylidene fluoride(PVDF) Polymer films to implement a volume velocity sensor and uniform force actuator respectively. They are collocated on either side of the panel to take advantage of direct velocity feedback(DVFB) strategy, which can guarantee a robust stability and high performance as long as the sensor-actuator response is strictly positive real(SPR). However, the measured sensor-actuator response of the panel showed unexpected result with non-SPR property. In the paper, the reason of the non-SPR property is investigated by theoretical analysis, computer simulation and experimental verification. The investigation reveals that the arrangement of collocated piezoelectric PVDF sensor and actuator pair on a panel is not relevant to get a high feedback gain and good performance with DVFB strategy.

  • 본 연구는 실내외 자전거 운동 시 빈번히 발생하고 있는 무릎상해를 예방하기 위해 자전거 운동을 실시할 때 올바른 자세를 유지 할 수 있도록 도와주는 보호 장비 개발 내용이다. 자전거 운동 시 발생할 수 있는 손상을 예방하기 위해서는 안장의 높이, 좌우 무릎사이의 간격, 무릎 각도가 안전한 각도 범위내에 있어야 한다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 무릎의 올바른 정렬을 유지한 채 운동을 지속할 수 있도록 센서부와 제어기로 구성되는 것을 특징으로 한다. 센서부는 가속도 센서, 자이로 센서, 속도감지 센서로 구성하여 자전거 운동 시 정상적인 무릎정렬과 비교하여 올바르지 못한 정렬 상태에서 운동 시 즉시 피드백하여 자세를 수정할 수 있도록 유도해 무릎의 상해를 예방하는 실내외 자전거 이용 시 운동 상해를 예방하기 위한 무릎 보호대를 개발하고자 한다.

  • 현재 도로 위 차량은 다양한 기능이 탑재되어 있고, 이는 운전자의 편의와 안전을 위해 발전해왔다. 하지만 음주운전과 안전운전 불이행에 의한 교통사고는 꾸준히 발생하고 있으며, 이 사고율은 단순히 제도적 규제와 운전자의 주의만으로는 감소시키기 어렵다고 판단된다. 본 논문은 제도적인 규범만이 아닌 기계적인 차원에서의 음주운전 사고 예방과 안전운전 불이행 사고의 방지를 하기 위해 '음주측정 시동 및 안전운전 보조시스템'을 제안한다. 이러한 문제를 해결하고자 알코올 측정 센서를 통해 시동을 걸기 전 음주측정을 해 음주운전의 가능성을 차단하고 초음파 센서를 이용하여 전, 후·측방 감지를 하고 주변의 장애물과 운전자의 부주의 시 즉각적인 피드백을 제공해 안전운전 불이행 사고를 방지할 수 있다.
