  • In present work, $La_{0.8}Ca_{0.2}CrO_3$ (LCC) ceramic interconnect layer for SOFC was prepared by using thermal plasma spray coating process. The LCC powders were synthesized by Pechini method and calcined at the temperature of $1000^{\circ}C$. The prepared LCC powder was characterized by x-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), particle counter, BET analysis, respectively. In addition, basic and essential properties of LCC layer coated by thermal plasma spray coating process such as the morphology of surface and cross section for coated layer, gas leak rate, and electrical conductivity were analyzed and discussed. Based on these experimental results, it can be concluded that the LCC layer coated by thermal plasma spray coating process can be suitable as a ceramic interconnect of SOFC operated at $800^{\circ}C$.

  • 이번 실험에서는 변방전형 교류 PDP에서의 3차원적인 전자온도와 이온밀도의 측정을 마이크로 랑뮈르 탐침법을 통해 실험적으로 연구하였다. 스테핑 모터에 연결된 마이크로 랑뮈르 탐침은 20um씩 움직이며 탐침에 인가하는 플러스와 마이너스의 직류전압을 통해 I-V곡선을 구할 수 있고 이를 통해서 전자온도와 플라스마 밀도를 구할 수 있다. Ne+Xe(4%) 200Torr의 혼합가스에서 전극의 테두리를 따라(X축) 전자온도 및 플라스마 밀도를 측정한 결과 중앙지점에서와 전극의 경계지역에서 이온밀도는 $7.69{\sim}11.1{\times}10^{11}cm^{-3}$ 까지 측정되었다. 또한 전자온도는 플라스마 밀도와 균형적인 관계에 있다는 것은 주목할 만하다. 전자온도는 전극 사이의 중심에서 가장 적게 1.3 ~ 3.15eV까지 측정되었다. Y축으로 측정했을 경우 이온 밀도와 전자온도는 전극 갭 중앙에서부터 약 80um 떨어진 지점에서 서로 교차하며 증가 및 감소였으며 이온밀도는 $8.3{\sim}11.1{\times}10^{11}cm^{-3}$로 측정되었고 전자온도는 이와 균형적인 관계를 가지고 1.2~1.6eV로 측정되었다. 또한 이러한 특성은 AC PDP 에서 나타나는 줄무늬 현상과 관련이 있는 것으로 보인다. Z축으로 측정했을 경우 약 125um높이에서 가장 높게 측정되었으며 $1.1{\times}10^{12}cm^{-3}$정도로 측정되었다.

  • Tellurium in simulated nuclear spent fuels (SIMFUEL) has been determined by hydride generation-inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry (HG-ICP-AES). Parameters such as concentrations of HCl and $NaBH_4$, flow rate of HCl and $NaBH_4$ were optimized and then the effects of U, Mo, Pd, Rh and Ru on the Te intensity were investigated. A thiourea as a masking agent was used to eliminate or minimize such interferences specially caused by palladium. Tellurium was measured by HG-ICP-AES and ICP-MS after separation of tellurium from SIMFUEL with cation exchange chromatography. The relative deviation between direct measurement and separation method was less than 6% based on the data by ICP-MS.

  • In this work, analytical performance of a laboratory built double membrane desolvator (DMD) was studies using perfluoroalkoxy (PFA) nebulizer and microconcentirc nebulizer (MCN) in inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry. Compared with MCN, PFA nebulizer coupled to DMD showed similar analytical sensitivity for aqueous solution and better sensitivity for isopropyl alcohol. Since PFA resisted various acids, HCI, $H_2SO_4$ and HF solution were analyzed with less than 2% RSD. Rinse-out time for the signal reduction to 1% was obtained to be 35 s for PFA but about 45 s for MCN.

  • An analytical method has been developed to determine multi-elements in human hair samples by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS). 0.05 g of hair sample was added to the Teflon digestion bomb together with 1.5 mL of nitric acid and an appropriate amount of In as an internal standard. The sample was then decomposed in the microwave digestion system. The hair certified reference material, GBW 09101, was analyzed for the validation of the analytical method. The determined values were in good agreement with the certified values within the uncertainty range.

  • $LaCrO_3$ series are the most common candidate materials for a ceramic interconnect for SOFC and the thermal expansion coefficient of these matches very well with that of YSZ electrolyte. In this study, characteristics of the coated films on the anode-support, which were formed by using $La_{0.8}Ca_{0.2}CrO_3$, $La_{0.8}Sr_{0.2}CrO_3$, $La_{0.8}Ca_{0.2}Co_{0.1}Cr_{0.9}O_3$ for ceramic interconnet for SOFC, were investigated. All powders showed single perovskite phase and the precursors had spherical shapes of $2{\mu}m{\sim}30{\mu}m$. According to SEM analysis, coated film of LCC on pretreated anode-support was more thicker, whereas the coated film on untreated anode-support was densely formed. As the results of electrical conductivity of anode-support coated with the ceramic interconnects, LCCC exhibited the most excellent electrical conductivity of 0.15S/cm at $750^{\circ}C$.

A Study on the Preparation of Dextran Film and Its Modification (덱스트란 필름의 제조 및 개질에 관한 연구)

  • Chemical modification of a dextran film to improve its physical properties was carried out by addition of plasticizers and crosslinking agents. Moreover, low-temperature plasma treatment with acetylene gas was done. The dextran film showed high mechanical strength but was brittle and vulnerable to moisture. When plasticizer was added, it became very soft but with large reduction of mechanical strength. However, a flexible film with fairly high mechanical strength and water resistance was prepared when the film was crosslinked by adding crosslinking agent with or after the addition of plasticizer. Treatment with an acetylene plasma changed the dextran film surface from hydrophilic to hydrophobic with little influence on the bulk properties of the film.
