Parallel Rabin Fingerprinting on GPGPU for Efficient Data Deduplication (효율적인 데이터 중복제거를 위한 GPGPU 병렬 라빈 핑거프린팅)

  • Rabin fingerprinting used for chunking requires the largest amount computation time in data deduplication, In this paper, therefore, we proposed parallel Rabin fingerprinting on GPGPU for efficient data deduplication. In addition, for efficient parallelism in Rabin fingerprinting, four issues are considered. Firstly, when dividing input data stream into data sections, we consider the data located near the boundaries between data sections to calculate Rabin fingerprint continuously. Secondly, we consider exploiting the characteristics of Rabin fingerprinting for efficient operation. Thirdly, we consider the chunk boundaries which can be changed compared to sequential Rabin fingerprinting when adapting parallel Rabin fingerprinting. Finally, we consider optimizing GPGPU memory access. Parallel Rabin fingerprinting on GPGPU shows 16 times and 5.3 times better performance compared to sequential Rabin fingerprinting on CPU and compared to parallel Rabin fingerprinting on CPU, respectively. These throughput improvement of Rabin fingerprinting can lead to total performance improvement of data deduplication.

  • 디지털 핑거프린팅(Digital Fingerprinting)은 기 밀 정보를 디지털 콘텐츠에 삽입하는 측면에서는 디지털 워터마킹과 동일 하다고 볼 수 있으나 저작권자나 판매자의 정보가 아닌 콘텐츠를 구매한 사용자의 정보를 삽입함으로써 콘텐츠 불법 배포자를 추적할 수 있도록 한다는 점에서 워터마킹과 차별화된 기술이다. 이러한 핑거프린팅 기술은 소유권에 대한 인증뿐만 아니라 개인 식별 기능까지 제공해야 하므로 기존의 워터마킹이 갖추어야 할 요구사항인 비가시성, 견고성, 유일성과 더불어 공모허용, 비대칭성, 익명성, 조건부 추적성 등이 부가적으로 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 행렬의 한 열을 선택 후 쉬프팅 기법을 사용 하서 사용자 정보로 조합하여 핑거프린트를 생성하였다. 이렇게 생성된 핑거프린트 정보를 2레벨 웨이블릿 변환 영역 중 LH2, HL2, HH2 부대역에 삽입하였다. 쉬프팅 정보와 도메인 개념을 사용하여 보다 많은 사용자에게 핑거프린트 정보를 삽입할 수 있으며, 공모공격과 JPEG 압축에서도 최소한 1명 이상의 공모자를 검출할 수 있는 핑거프린팅의 기본 조건을 만족하였다.

A Study on the Fingerprinting scheme without Trusted Third Party (신뢰기관 비참여의 핑커프린팅 기법에 관한 연구)

  • Fingerprinting scheme is a technique which supports the copyright protection to track redistributors of digital content using cryptographic techniques. These schemes enable the original merchant to identify the original buyer of the digital data by embedding fingerprints into digital contents. Asymmetric property of fingerprinting schemes is important to keep the buyer's privacy. In this paper, we propose a symmetric encryption based fingerprinting protocol without trusted third party. Our scheme enables the reduction of computational costs for the encryption using symmetric key encryption scheme. Since a trusted third party doesn't take part in making the fingerprint of each buyer, the protocol doesn't need to control the trusted third party and it is more secure against collusion attack.

  • In recent years, copyright violations from illegal copying and distribution of e-comic contents have become an important issue. Fingerprinting techniques have been emerged to provide a fast and reliable identification method of identifying e-comic contents. When illegally scanned or camera captured comic contents are distributed, they suffer from distortions. So the fingerprint differs from the original version. This paper presents a restoration framework for correcting geometric distortions in distorted comics to improve the comic content identification.

  • The most typically utilized positioning method in the existing indoor WPS that is a positioning method utilizing distributed wireless network is the finger print. Its positioning is carried out by calculating the difference between the AP information map and WiFi AP signal collected. However, there are problems like low accuracy and high cost when the existing method and the radio map formation are applied to outdoors. In this paper, the characteristics of the existing WPS are surveyed and their problems are examined. In addition, we propose a new WPS using weak signal and a method to construct radio map in order to solve the above problems. And then, the results of experimental test will be analyzed.

  • In recent years, indoor localization has been researched for the improvement of its localization accuracy capability in Wi-Fi environment. The fingerprint and RF propagation models has been the main approach in determining indoor positioning. With the use of fingerprint, a low-cost, versatile localization system can be achieved without the use of external hardware. However, only a few research have been made on virtual access points (VAPs) among indoor localization models. In this paper, the idea of indoor localization system using fingerprint with the addition of VAP in Wi-Fi environment is discussed. The idea is to virtually add APs in the existing indoor Wi-Fi system, this would mean additional virtually APs in the network. The experiments of the proposed algorithm shows the positive results when 2VAPs are used compared with only APs. A combination of 3APs and 2VAPs in the 3rd case had the lowest average error of 3.99 among its 4 scenarios.

  • There are many techniques for locating users in an indoor spot. Among them, WiFi fingerprinting technique which is widely used is phased into a data collection step and a positioning step. In the data collection step, all surrounding Wi-Fi signals are collected and managed as a list. The more data collected, the better the accuracy of the indoor position based on Wi-Fi fingerprint. Existing high-quality data collection and management methods are time consuming and costly, and many operations are required to extract and generate data necessary for machine learning. Therefore, we research how to collect and manage large amount of data in limited resources. This paper presents efficient data collection methods and data generation for learning.

  • The positioning system based on wireless AP collects AP information distributed in the real world, stores it into database, and measures the position objects by comparing with searched AP information. The existing fingerprinting method is a probabilistic modeling method that acquires much of the data collected from one location upon database composition, and stores the average of the data for the sake of use it in positioning objects. Using the average value, however, may cause the probability of errors Such errors are fatal weaknesses for services based on the accurate position. This paper described the characteristics and problems of the previously used wireless AP positioning system, and proposed a method of using the AP DB and an MSS mechanism for outdoor positioning in order to solve the aforementioned problems. And the results obtained from experimental tests showed that the proposed method achieved very low error rate(27%) compared with the existing method.

  • This study was conducted with preliminary to develop the game contents for designing of sexual violence prevention serious game for school teachers. It is proposed to use of sexual violence prevention serious game with the analysis of the audience and a new approach. For this purpose, Gordon method and Service Blueprint method were applied in design thinking. The results from analyzing the audiences were to reflect the components of corresponding with the goal of the serious game, and interest and motivation for continuing education. Also, it was proposed to give the certificate of education participation to teachers attended in the serious game in-service education.

  • This paper proposes fingerprint-based positioning methods which can be used in a magnetic resonant wireless power transfer(WPT) system and verifies their performance. A new receiver coil with small orthogonal auxiliary coils is proposed to measure magnetic field signals in three axial directions. The magnitude and phase characteristics of the three-axis electromotive force can be obtained by using the proposed coil. To predict a position with the measured values, we propose a lookup table-based method and linear discriminant analysis-based method. For verification, the proposed methods are applied to predict 75 positions of the 6.78 MHz WPT system, and the performances such as accuracy and computation time are compared.
