Development of Precast Slab Track Reinforced with GFRP and Analysis of Behavior (GFRP로 보강된 프리캐스트 슬래브 궤도 개발 및 거동분석)

  • 철도 시스템에서 철도궤도와 레일은 주요한 신호 시스템의 일부로 사용되고 있으나 콘크리트 슬래브 궤도 내부의 철근으로 인한 신호전류 감소, 교란 등을 방지하기 위해 과도한 절연작업이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 국내에서 기 개발된 프리캐스트 슬래브 궤도의 횡방향 철근을 GFRP 보강근으로 대체하여 절연작업의 감소를 가능하게 하였다. GFRP로 보강된 프리캐스트 슬래브 궤도의 설계과정과 정적 휨 시험과 단부의 연결철근 인발 시험을 통한 거동 분석 및 고찰 내용을 제시하였다. 휨 시험과 실스케일 인발 시험의 결과 정적 휨 강도는 정립된 설계법에 의해 적절한 강도를 가지고 있으나 기 개발된 연결철근의 위치와 형태는 온도 또는 수축으로 인해 발생할 수 있는 축력을 저항할 수 없음을 확인하였다.

  • In this paper, the effects of initial built-in deformation and temperature deformation on the stress distribution of discontinuous precast concrete track slab under train load were examined. According to the results, when train load is put on a precast concrete slab with initial built-in deformation and deformation due to temperature gradient, the maximum tensile stresses develop at the upper side of slab in the slab center, edge center and corner of shear pocket; the stress distribution is different from that of the case under train load only. Therefore, to accurately predict the actual weak points and failure modes, one should calculate the stress under train load considering the initial built-in and temperature deformation of the slab.

  • This study looked into the behavior of precast concrete track due to temperature variation and initial track deformation and examined the effect of initial deformation and deformation caused by temperature gradient on the stress distribution of slab under train load. In this paper, one of two papers in a series, a finite element analysis model for calculating deformation and stress of precast concrete track was proposed; the temperature distribution and displacements measured at the precast concrete track in the field were compared with the analytical results. The results show that the slab always curled up due to initial deformation; by comparing the measured displacements with the displacements calculated by taking measured temperatures at each depth as input, the effective built-in temperature (EBITD), the temperature difference between the top and bottom of the slab corresponding to the initial deformation, can be estimated. If EBITD is relevantly assumed, the calculated displacements correlate well with the measured ones.

  • In this study, Interaction among each element was construed by the unit of new stiffness matrix to analyze the finite element about Japanese precast concrete slab track and improved slab track. Dynamic analysis which is assumed a static analysis and a trainload on the transverse and the longitudinal load of the train into a series periodic function was performed by using the common program. And then, the difference of the movement between an improved section and an existing structure type was realized. Longitudinal static analysis indicated that the stress of the improved section is smaller than that of the protrusion of the existing slab track. And static and dynamic analysis on transverse load showed a little decrease of the displacement on new slab track. But the dynamic analysis result showed that new track system was considerably decreased by 30% compared with the existing Japanese slab track.

  • This paper presents an analytic study for replacement of the ballast track in existing subway bridge by the Precast slab panel(B2S) track. To evaluate the dynamic responses on application of B2S track, the time history analysis with the 3D modeling. A total of two models, which were one ballast track bridge and B2S track bridge, were used in the FE analysis. The results of this study show that the dynamic displacement and acceleration of the B2S track bridge were significantly reduced for a higher train speed, compared to the ballast track bridge. Also, the replacement of the ballast track bridge in existing subway bridge by the B2S track increased the structural safety of bridge and ensured sufficient dynamic stability and serviceability. As a result, the servicing subway bridge with B2S track system has need of the reasonable measures which could be reducing the static and dynamic response and improving the performance.

  • We proposed a design procedure for Korean Precast Slab Track system. Korean Precast Slab Track system cannot use the same design procedure to German slab track system because of different shapes and some problems. We identified the problems of German slab track design system that cannot simulate effects of loads. This proposed procedure is implemented for the commercial software of ABAQUS. Using this procedure, one can consider uncombined effects between slab panel and hydraulic sub base, effect of close sleepers.

  • Precast concrete slab track is a track structure to be installed by transporting and assembling precast concrete slabs manufactured at the factory. This method can improve concrete quality, provide easy maintenance and reduce construction time, compared with in-situ concrete track. However, the concrete slabs being continuously connected in longitudinal direction, due to the temperature change between summer and winter, the openings at slab joints have occurred. Thus, in this study, to identify the cause of this opening of slab joint, the joint opening caused by temperature drop in the longitudinally continuous precast concrete slab track has been predicted using three-dimensional finite element analysis, and compared with field measurements. Based on the proven model, the slab joint opening, and the stress pattern of concrete slab and steel reinforcement according to concrete slab-base friction properties, concrete-reinforcement bond properties, and prestressing were analyzed.

  • The concrete track on bridge should be designed to effectively cope with the behavior of the bridge superstructure. For this purpose, in general, shear keys are designed to be installed at a certain intervals on the bridge deck, and the track slab is cast on these shear keys to transfer the load induced by the relative displacement between track and bridge. In this study, to apply the precast concrete slab track on bridge, a shear key structure and its effective installation method are presented. Also, the structural behavior of this shear key has been evaluated by the laboratory mock-up test.

  • Precast concrete slab track has been already turned out to be more efficient than cast-in place concrete slab track in view of the easiness of construction and the quality control of concrete. Thus, there is a great need to bring in the precast slab track system. In order to develop the realistic precast slab track system that is well conformed to our circumstances, the performance criteria of slab track, and the state-of-the art of precast slab track systems that are used in other countries are briefly discussed here.
