Social Network Analysis for New Product Recommendation (신상품 추천을 위한 사회연결망분석의 활용)

  • Collaborative Filtering is one of the most used recommender systems. However, basically it cannot be used to recommend new products to customers because it finds products only based on the purchasing history of each customer. In order to cope with this shortcoming, many researchers have proposed the hybrid recommender system, which is a combination of collaborative filtering and content-based filtering. Content-based filtering recommends the products whose attributes are similar to those of the products that the target customers prefer. However, the hybrid method is used only for the limited categories of products such as music and movie, which are the products whose attributes are easily extracted. Therefore it is essential to find a more effective approach to recommend to customers new products in any category. In this study, we propose a new recommendation method which applies centrality concept widely used to analyze the relational and structural characteristics in social network analysis. The new products are recommended to the customers who are highly likely to buy the products, based on the analysis of the relationships among products by using centrality. The recommendation process consists of following four steps; purchase similarity analysis, product network construction, centrality analysis, and new product recommendation. In order to evaluate the performance of this proposed method, sales data from H department store, one of the well.known department stores in Korea, is used.

Methodology of Prior Art Search Based on Hierarchical Citation Analysis (계층적 인용관계분석을 통한 선행기술 탐색방법론)

  • Prior art search is a core process of technology management performed by inventors and applicants, patent examiners, and employees in the patent industry. As a result of insufficient academic research on a systematic prior art search methodology, the process has been often carried out depending on the subjective judgment of researchers. Previous studies on exploring prior arts based on semantics have also have the risk of underestimating the similarity of major prior arts due to the nature of patent documents where the same technical ideas are expressed in various terms. In this study, we propose an effective prior art search methodology based on hierarchical citation analysis, which provides a clear criterion for selecting core prior arts by calculating weights according to the relative importance of the collected patents. In order to verify the feasibility of the proposed methodology, a case study was conducted to explore the core prior art of one patent in the display field. As a result, 10 core prior art candidates were selected out of the 206 precedent patents.

  • As various convergency products have been actively developed, the study on user interface has been conducted a lot, and for more specific direction, users' experience-oriented user interface from user-oriented studies is recently developed. Such a tendency aiming to focus on product development to express users' emotion, the next step in the user-oriented development had difficulties in an objective approach, so the data based on previous users' experiences were presented as the basic data to establish user interface design process with grounds and design direction, and therefore it is available to show more specific and objective grounds. From this perspective, such psychological variables showing users' experiences like age and job are studied through surveys of users at the development of products, and products according to the variables are released. On the other hand, the products considering psychological difference distinguishing users' experiences as the cultural cap are not progressed yet. Despite the understanding of cultural difference, its decisive grounds are hard to distinguish like age, and job. Therefore, the cognitive concept about how to design menu information structure according to accident types that can be considered regarding user interface design among theoretical backgrounds about cultural difference. As the category according to the range of things among accident types, it is divided into analytical type and relational type to conduct a test on similarity and relations about the representative digital TV's menu information of the convergency product. As the result, analytical type and relational type showed difference and this study aims to use menu information concept considering this difference as explanatory variables of the users' experience-oriented development.

A Unified Model of Action Learning and Design Thinking for Social Innovation (사회 혁신을 위한 디자인 씽킹과 액션러닝의 통합모형)

  • This article analyzes two different strategies that both aim at creating innovative design or problem solving: design thinking and action learning. User-driven innovation strategy that has become more and more popular during the last decades is "design thinking". Based on designerly methods and principles, this strategy was developed by the design consultancy IDEO in the late 90s. Action learning is a pragmatic and moral philosophy based on a deeply humanistic view of human potential that commits us, via experiential learning, to address the intractable problems of organizations and societies. This paper provides a structured analysis and comparison of the two innovation strategies-design thinking and action learning-with the goal to identify potentials to enrich either of the two by merging or adapting specific parts or aspects. Although there are significant differences in both strategies, there are also several similarities in methodology and process design. This article compares process models for action learning and design thinking and highlights the specific differences and similarities. As a result, we suggested a union model of action learning and design thinking, and verified a this model through a case study. We complemented the process of team building and reflection of action learning for union model. Also, we statistically verified through a case study to validate the superiority of the design thinking model which complemented action learning. This article contributes to a better understanding of both-design thinking and action learning, and it may help to improve either of the two strategies to foster social innovation.

  • Recently in information business, managing and auditing are getting more difficult because of enlargement, intellectualization and convergence. In addition, ordering organizations have been having a difficult time choosing a service because not only there is a huge overlap between information audit system and PMO but also the work boundaries of those two are not clear enough. As the demand that a business managing and auditing frame work need to be more developed in terms of independence, quality, economic feasibility and responsibility has been increased, the Korea Association Of Information Systems Audit has been attempting to improve business management and audit system by proposing Unified Project Management Framework whose process is approximately constructed. This study introduces Unified Project Management Framework which is all-encompassing from the ordering at the very beginning of business to the operating in the post-processing step and then verifies its work scope through a comparative analysis with existing management systems. Also, this thesis examines the necessity of unification of audit system and PMO by analysing existing similar systems. At the end, this study, analyses the suitability of Unified Project Management Framework by evaluating it with IT goal frame of COBIT5 which is constructed based on BSC performance management index. The result of the analysis is expected to help people in charge understanding the features of Unified Project Management Framework before they apply it to practical business.

  • Recently, according to rapid technological development trend of mobile devices revolutionary transforming our lives in various fields, thereby combining the latest in communications technology. These mobile devices to celebrate the digital convergence era are now created a new business model due to mobility. The mobile business operators obtains a user's location information using the smart phone. The mobile business operators provide users with the area or building-related information for the user on. The mobile business operators provide users profiles to advertisers and product sellers. In this study, I propose the mobile business model and that there are no technical problems design a conceptual framework on mobile agents for mobile operators.

  • Ubiquitous computing spans a very broad range of technologies and needs very complicated user's requirements. There are many scenarios and technologies involved in ubiquitous computing. We need new software development tools and methodology to meet the requirements. A software product line is one of promising new technology for it. A software product line is a set of software intensive systems that share a common, managed set of features satisfying the specific needs of a particular market segment or mission and that are developed from a common set of core assets. Software architecture-based development is the exploration and maturation of the role of software architecture in the product line life cycle. In this thesis, we identify the foundational concepts underlying software product lines and the essential activities to develop the mobile application systems. So, we define, design, and implement the Mobile Application System Architecture(MASA) that includes the development process for applying into mobile business domain and encompass scoping and gathering requirements for the Product line based on Component Based Development(CBD).

A Study on the Development of Jeonbuk-Ginseng (전북인삼 명품화 방안 연구 - 진안인삼산업 중심으로 -)

  • 국내 주요 인삼재배 산지 기반을 가진 전북 진안지역의 인삼 홍삼산업은, 재배농가 895호, 재배면적 402ha, 생산량 1,628톤, 홍삼가공업체 80개소, 판매업소 50개소로 지역경제의 25% 이상을 차지한다. 그러나 재배농가의 계열화 미흡(22%), 산지수집상(포전매매)에 의한 인근 유사 도매시장으로 재배물량과 부가가치 유출(78%), 가공시설의 노후화, 가공업체의 영세성(매출규모 연평균 2억11백만원)과 함께 중국, 캐나다, 미국 등의 국제 가격경쟁과 국내의 대기업 및 인삼산업 주요지역과의 경쟁이라는 상황에 직면하고 있다. 이러한 상황을 극복하고 지역특화명품산업으로 발전할 수 있는 방안으로, 인삼재배산지로서 원료공급지를 기반으로 하는 재배, 유통, 가공, 품질관리, 시설분야에 이르는 발전방안을 연구하였다. 산업원료 확보를 위해서는 인삼계열화 확대를 통해 원물 확보력을 강화하여야 한다. 재배분야의 경우에는 친환경재배 확대와 GAP 확대를 통해 원물의 품질경쟁력 뿐만 아니라 시장수요에 따른 브랜드마케팅 요인으로 특성화해야 한다. 유통분야는 계열화 확대를 통한 원물확보라는 산업경쟁력을 바탕으로 원료중심의 수취, 매취, 보관, 가공, 대형거래, 도소매 등 유통활성화와 유통규격포장 및 선별등급표준화를 통한 유통표준화를 추진하여야 한다. 가공의 경우, 원료홍삼 공급기능을 중심으로 가공산업을 선택 육성해야한다. 품질관리는 원물중심관리(성분, 잔류농약, 식품위생), 유통중심관리(연근, 등급), 경작중심관리(재배지, 재배자, 경작), 프로세스중심관리(재배 유통 가공 판매정보)로 구체화해야한다. 시설분야는 유통시설(대규모 집하시설, 보관시설 등 종합유통처리시설)과 가공시설(가공설비현대화, 가공공장 공인규격화;ISO, GMP, HACCP)의 지속적인 시설개선과 현대화를 추진하여야 한다.

A Web-Based Construction Failure Information System using Case-Based Reasoning (사례기반추론을 이용한 웹 기반 건설실패사례 정보시스템)

  • In order to encourage construction practitioners to acknowledge failures and disseminate the information, the failure information must be documented and accumulated with a well-structured format, which contains not only the fact and result but also the circumstance and cause of the failure. In the Korean construction industry, many failures are not explained clearly and often not even reported publicly, partly because due to the lack of understanding positive aspects of failures, which can improve construction practices as a result of learning from failures. The purpose of this study is to develop a web-based construction failure information system using the case-based reasoning techniques, which can systematically accumulate, manage, and share the valuable failure information using a structured failure cases database. It can be utilized for planning proactive solutions on future failures by searching the very similar past failure cases.

Development of Fashion Design Recommender System using Textile based Collaborative Filtering Personalization Technique (Textile 기반의 협력적 필터링 개인화 기술을 이용한 패션 디자인 추천 시스템 개발)

  • It is important for the strategy of product sales to investigate the consumer's sensitivity and preference degree in the environment that the process of material development has been changed focusing on the consumer renter. In the present study, we propose the Fashion Design Recommender System (FDRS) of textile design applying collaborative filtering personalization technique as one of methods in the material development centered on consumer's sensibility and preferences. In collaborative filtering personalization technique based on textile, Pearson Correlation Coefficient is used to calculate similarity weights between users. We build the database founded on the sensibility adjective to develop textile designs by extracting the representative sensibility adjective from users' sensibility and preferences about textile designs. FDRS recommends textile designs to a consumer who has a similar propensity about textile. Ultimately, this paper sugeests empirical applications to verify the adequacy and the validity on this system with the development of Fashion Design Recommender System (FDRS)
