차세대 웹 환경을 위한 시맨틱 웹에 대한 관심이 날로 증대되고 있다. 이와 더불어 시맨틱 웹에서 자원의 의미적인 관계를 표현하기 위한 언어들에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행중이다. 특히 이러한 연구의 시작점으로 RDF, DAML+OIL 같은 여러 온톨로지 언어들이 등장하였지만 자원의 특성에 대한 기술이나 그들간의 관계에 대한 정의를 명확하게 표현하기에는 미흡한 점이 많다. 그러나 최근에 제안된 OWL은 RDF나 RDF 스키마를 확장하여 보다 의미 있는 자원의 관계를 정의할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 OWL로 표현된 문서를 저장하기 위한 구조를 관계형 데이터베이스를 기반으로 제안한다. 본 논문에서 제안한 저장 구조는 기존의 RDF와 RDF 스키마를 위한 저장 구조를 확장하여, OWL을 통해 제공되는 클래스나 속성간의 동일성, 또는 이질성, 여러 클래스의 집합 관계 등의 추가적 기능을 지원하는데 목적을 두고 있다. 또한 제안한 저장구조를 이용한 OWL 문서의 질의 형태를 분석하고 이를 기존 RQL을 이용하여 표현하기 위해 OWL의 특성을 반영하도록 RQL을 확장했다.

This study aims to show the present status of the expressions in the contemporary architecture in Kore under its pluralistic and equivocal situation. Non-residential buildings constructed since 1960 till 1997 have been analyzed focused on the rationality romantic property and koreanity which are the expressional aspects and its expressional characteristics in contermporary architecture in Korea such as the properties of the quasi-thematic approach limitary subsistence unexisting common ownership mixed copy and normative diversity have been grasped. These results prove that the common features after Modernism such as the restoration of humanity search for the architectural forms of plural meaning the pursuit for the regionality are also applied for the expressions of the contemporary architecture in Korea, Also this study can be the attempt to clarity the identity of the contemporary architecture in Korea and where it is now.

First of all corner is an essential element to consist the space, but there is not much solid study and basic concept on the corner. The most important reason is the lack of the concept on the corner. The definition of corner by itself carries the term of space. Accordingly arguing the corner in space is to characterize the space. The corner is an important element to build up the space. The purpose of this study is to give a definition on the comer in space and suggest the way of practical use. The corner in space began to transform after Cubism. Therefore this study is bounded after Cubism era. The focus of study on plastical expression properties is on the view point by each era and constitutional point of view. In conclusion, the concept of corner has been switched from the concept of structure to concept of decoration. Also, study found that the concept of corner has the ideology, medium, and characteristics of boundary.

This study was begun on the premise that architecture which has the definite disposition for survival even in the urban, social structure of that uncertainty and constructs specialty is biomorphic architecture. This study was made with the following four specific purposes largely. First, through the theoretical investigation of biomorphic architecture that appears in the tendency that mordern architecture develops into the architecture of do-stereotype and new form, its meaning and definition are examined. Second, the analysis of biomorphic architecture is investigated and the generation causes are applied architecturally and generate biomorphic architecture is made. Third, by analyzing the material expression characteristics of biomorphic architecture, the meaning and possibility of architecture, which expresses the vitality of organism, as the material expression characteristics of biomorphic architecture, are investigated. The material expression characteristics was deduced through the generation background of biomorphic architecture. The material expression characteristics of biomorphic architecture is the various modeling by smart-network and the response system of sensitivity poly-logue.

In the present architectural culture of Korea, the expression of Korean values and the contemporary trends of global architectures are not identified and arranged distinctly, so diverse tendencies are applied to the architectures of Korea recklessly. In this situation, minimal architecture is significant, which pursues the essence of architecture through the minimal materials. This thesis analyzes the characteristics of minimal architecture seeking after the essence of architecture by minimalization and examines Seung, Hyosang's architectures showing expressional traits similar to those of minimal architecture in the modem architectures of Korea, so this study can show the expressional characteristics and materials of minimal architecture. Nevertheless, it does not mean that all the Seung, Hyosang's works have the tendency of minimal architecture and that he has to be classified as a minimal architect, but it means only that the values and thoughts like the expressional traits of minimal architecture are seen in his architectural opinions! and works, which will be the subject of this study.

As individual's experiences become more diverse and abundant, demands for design are becoming stronger and the propensity to consume is becoming more diverse. In such an age of pluralization, while hotels displaying distinct design characteristics are spreading rapidly like a trend studies regarding expressive characteristics of such design are still insufficient so the accurate understanding and analysis of hotel guest room designs is needed. To this end, this study analyzes and studies the characteristics and trends of design expressions, surveying domestic cases using hotel guest rooms, which have begun to diversify through the rise of design hotels in Korea, as subjects.

This study is intended to clarify the ideologies and principles applied to the formative expression of church architecture which is contained both the God and human. From the result of study of modern architectural movement, all of architectural ideology have not been developed with the church architecture. Some of architectural concept have been the foundation of modern church architecture. From the point of view of theological aspects of Christianism, in church architecture which is hard to overcome the adherence of historical characteristics, especially nationalism which contain all the concepts and try the localization of church architecture play multi-functional roles to form expressional characteristics of the modern church architecture show harmonize to the modern architecture trend. The study is intended to clarify the nationalism-church architecture and to know the capability of our cases.

The study is intended to clarify the ideologies and principles applied to the formative expression of church architecture which is contained both the God and human. Iconography as the relation between described target and the meaning as meaning analysis especially emphasized since the religious reason in religious art. Iconography is the area of discussing rules and habits and involved in the pieces of transition from the piece of experience obtained by sensing to the one of the ethical structure. N. L. Prak who apply meaning theory of E. Panofsky who distinguish between iconography and iconology clear relation of mental foundation which characteristics of shape of art and its concretion in architecture categorized the shape of meaning in three steps. Among them, conscious symbol and unconscious symbol correspond to iconography and iconology of Panofsky respectively. The symbol is mainly showed in religious architecture and is not related to simple practical architecture. Such symbol system can be important discussion objects in modern church architecture and necessary expressional system for expressional characteristics.

In order to understand the characteristics of the Japanese conception of space, we examined the characteristics of Japanese human geography, schools of thought, and aesthetics through the examinations on relevant documents. In addition, we reorganized such cultural backgrounds in relation to the Japanese perception of space, extracting the fundamental principles and elements of Japanese space composition and examining their significance. We propose a structural framework for understanding and analyzing Japanese space based on the reciprocal relationship and meaning among the various elements of Japanese space. Using this analytical framework, we studied the representative works of Japanese interior space, concluding in an analysis of the expressive characteristics of the Japanese notion of space.

This study aims to research the Kisho Kurokawa's architectural concepts and expressions that are comprised of various and complex theories system for Korean's globalization of architecture. Kurokawa's architectural concepts are composed by Metabolism, Metamorphosis and Symbiosis. And intermediate zone, ambiguity, multivalence are theories that work as media in changing process levels to three main concepts and these are used as media of Metamorphosis which embody Symbiosis. Metabolism include concepts of Metamorphosis and Symbiosis. Symbiosis is comprise of concepts of Metabolism and Metamorphosis, and is a ultimate goal of these three main concepts. Metamorphosis works as a medium in changing process levels from Metabolism to Symbiosis. The architectural expressions are embodied according to these main three concepts and theories of media in changing process levels. And these architectural expressions are analyzed by three elements as follows: form, material & color, structure & technique.
