In this paper, an algorithm that enhances the conventional directional CSMA/CA protocol in IEEE 802.15.3c is proposed under saturation environments. For the algorithm, a Markov chain model is presented and analyzed in no-ACK mode. The effects of directional antennas and the features of IEEE 802.15.3c MAC are considered in the model. The optimal sizes of contention window are derived from the numerical results. The numerical results show that the proposed directional CSMA/CA algorithm outperforms conventional one. The overall analysis is verified by simulation. The obtained results provide the criterion for selecting the optimal parameters and developing a MAC protocol that enhances the performance of mmWave WPANs.

The neighbor discovery using directional antennas in mmWave band is a prerequisite for communications and this issue is crucial and urgent. In this paper, the synchronized, direct, two-way directional neighbor discovery process is analyzed mathematically for mmWave WPANs. The analysis is based on the values which are derived from the effect of using directional antennas. The neighbor discovery probability for a given amount of time is considered and several performance measures such as the optimal sojourn time are derived in closed forms. Numerical results are obtained using parameters based on the IEEE 802.15.3c. The mathematical analysis provides the theoretical basis for the directional neighbor discovery process.

The objective of this study is to understand the effects of service-orientation perceived by customers(patients) on relationship commitment and prosocial behavior, in order to suggest the direction necessary to establish the management strategies of small & medium-sized hospitals. The elements of service-orientation were composed of customer treatment, service failure recovery, and service standard suitable for the characteristics of small & medium-sized hospitals. In order to verify if the effects of three sub-factors of service-orientation on relationship commitment would cause prosocial behavior, the path analysis through AMOS was conducted. In the results of study, all the sub-factors of service orientation showed significant results, and also the relationship commitment and prosocial behavior showed significant effects. Based on such results, the implications and future research were suggested.

Considering biological safety, it is very important to measure acoustic power from ultrasonic array probe for diagnostic ultrasound imaging applications. In this paper, to measure acoustic power from each element on array probe for ultrasonic diagnostic equipment, we reconstruct and automate the acoustic power measurement system. The acoustic power from linear, phased and curved array were measured and analyzed. As a result of measurement, the effects caused by directivity of sound beam from curved array were founded. To remove these effects, we developed and applied the correction model. The proposed system is useful to evaluate characteristics of the acoustical output power of array probe.

Mobile IP는 이동단말의 macro-mobility를 지원하는 표준이다. 그런데, Mobile IP는 도메 인내에서의 빈번한 핸드오프상에서는 많은 단점이 있다. HA(Home Agent)로 빈번하게 시그널을 보내기 때문에 많은 제어 메시지 오버gp드가 있으며, 핸드오프중의 많은 패킷 손실이 있다. Micro-mobility프로토콜은 기존 mobile IP의 단점을 보완하기 위해 나온 프로토콜이다. 무선 네트웍상의 도메인내에서의 이동성을 지원하며, 손실과 메시지 오버 헤드를 줄여 핸드오프시 높은 성능향상을 주고, 효율적인 위치관리를 제공한다. TCP(Transmission Control Protocol)는 전통적인 네트웍에서 잘 동작하는 신뢰성 있는 연결지향성 전송프로토콜이다. 그러나, TCP는 Mobile IP를 이용한 무선환경하에서는 잦은 핸드오프 때문에 손실과 지연이 일어나서 많은 성능저하가 일어난다. 본 논문에서는 TCP Tahoe, Reno, NewReno, SACK를 micro-mobility 프로토콜상에서 사용하였을 때 어느 TCP버전과 micro-mobility프로토콜이 가장 효율적인지를 제시한다.

본 논문에서는 2.4 [GHz] 대역에서 1(equation omitted)2 마이크로스트림 배열 안테나를 이용한 지하철 터널내의 전파특성을 고찰하였다. 445 [m]의 터널구간에서 협대역 측정결과 LOS (Line-of-Sight)구간에 비하여 NLOS(Non-Line-of-Sight)구간에서는 수신 전력 레벨이 급격히 감소 하였으며, 10단 길이의 PN Sequence를 이용한 광대역 채널 측정에서는 Fan Beam의 평균과도지연과 RMS 지연확산이 각각 3.5736 [ns]과 11.7327 [ns]로서 원편파와 지향성 빔에 비하여 우수함을 확인하였다. 또한 전체 측정구간에 대한 평균과도지연과 RMS 지연확산의 중간값과 표준편차를 구하였고 각각의 빔에 대하여 비교하였다.

In this paper, we propose a mobile image retrieval system which utilizes the mobile device's sensor information and enables running in a variety of the environments, and implement the system on Android platform. The proposed system deals with a new image descriptor using combination of the visual feature with EXIF attributes in the target of JPEG image, and image matching algorithm which is optimized to the mobile environments. Experiments are performed on the Android platform, and the experimental results revealed that the proposed algorithm exhibits a significant improved results with large image database.

This study was carried out to enlighten on the factors by which newspaper headlines are determined and to empirically explore how news influence variables, editor's role orientation and professionalism have impact on deciding headlines. It turned out from the survey of 345 journalists working in the editorial departments of 17 major national daily and economic newspapers that 7 determinant factors have impact on editors deciding headlines: creativity, standardized expression, fairness, consideration for a readers, reflection of company policy, summarization and intriguer. In addition, the determinant factors of headlines were analyzed to have correlation with news influence variables such as the government-sponsors, readers and colleagues, and company policy and the management. In the awareness of role, also, it was shown that the editors who considered social integration as important place weighted on the reflection of company policy, fairness and creativity; those editors who placed power monitoring on priority took fairness and creativity seriously; and the editors who believed that delivering information was important thought of fairness, consideration for a readers and summarization as important. In addition, the organization-oriented editors turned out compliant to a system, positive on the governmental policies and sought for social stability; those editors who put a premium on a sense of objective balance and neutrality showed a strong aspect of a professional in social reform, check against government and the social governance by the privileged.

Objectives: This study aimed to evaluate the primary care quality of a public health center in a rural area using the Korean Primary Care Assessment Tool (KPCAT). It also examined some methodological issues in applying the KPCAT and interpreting its results. Methods: Seventy-nine patients who had visited their doctor more than four times responded to the KPCAT questionnaire. Descriptive statistics and a radar chart were used in analyzing data. Sign test was used to test the KPCAT score difference by don't know option scoring methods. Results: Median and interquartile range of the public health center's KPCAT scores were forty-five and sixteen points, respectively. Only the median of the first contact domain reached the expected value of seventy-five points. The proportions of those who scored under the expected value were under fifty percent in two of four comprehensiveness items, all of three coordinating function items, two of five personalized items and all of four family/community orientation items. There were some methodological issues including, how to score don't know option and make sure response scale consistency. Conclusions: There was much room to improve the primary care quality of the rural public health center. Especially, improvement is needed in the domain of coordinating function and family/community orientation. We also hope that methodological improvement of the KPCAT contributes to more valid and reliable primary care assessment.

인터넷상에 존재하는 수 많은 웹 페이지들에는 정형화되지 않은 각종 정보들이 이종의 형태로 산재되어 있다. 현재의 검색 기술을 통하여 필요한 정보를 찾아내는 것은 시간과 비용이 많이 소요되는 비효율적인 방법으로 이뤄지고 있다. 이러한 상황에서 사용자가 원하는 정보를 검색 및 추출해내어 정형화시키는 것은 매우 중요하다. 전자상거래의 폭발적 성장에도 불구하고 전자상거래 표준 활용 및 적용이 미비하여 e- Procurement, e-Marketplace, on-Line Shopping Mall 등에서 소비자가 원하는 상품 정보를 손쉽게 획득하지 못하고 있다. 이는 공급자에게는 보다 많은 매출의 기회를 구매자에게는 보다 좋은 자재 및 상품을 저렴한 가격에 소싱 할 수 있는 기회를 제공하지 못하는 문제점이 발생한다. 본 연구에서 제안하고자 하는 지능형 상품 에이전트는 소비자가 구매하고자 하는 특정 상품에 대한 공급자 검색 문제를 해결하기 위하여, 시스템 내부 정보의 확장 및 지식화 뿐만 아니라 웹 상의 다양한 상품 정보를 자동적으로 수집 및 가공하여 저장하는 역할을 수행한다. 이러한 연구를 위해서 사용한 기술은 우선 database 의 schema 를 읽어 들일 수 있는 DB schema reader, 인터넷 웹 페이지(웹문서)를 방문해서 다양한 정보들의 URL을 수집하는 일을 하는 Meta Search Engine 과 Focused Crawler, 그리고 다른 형태의 데이터 구조를 특정 목적에 따라 표준화된 형태로 바꾸는 Wrapper가 있다. 이러한 기술들을 연동하여 필요한 정보들을 추출 공급자 검색 문제를 해결하고자 하는 것이 연구의 목적이다. 정보추출은 사용자의 관심사에 적합한 문서들로부터 어떤 구체적인 사실이나 관계를 정확히 추출하는 작업을 가리킨다.앞으로 e-메일, 매신저, 전자결재, 지식관리시스템, 인터넷 방송 시스템의 기반 구조 역할을 할 수 있다. 현재 오픈웨어에 적용하기 위한 P2P 기반의 지능형 BPM(Business Process Management)에 관한 연구와 X인터넷 기술을 이용한 RIA (Rich Internet Application) 기반 웹인터페이스 연구를 진행하고 있다.태도와 유아의 창의성간에는 상관이 없는 것으로 나타났고, 일반 유아의 아버지 양육태도와 유아의 창의성간의 상관에서는 아버지 양육태도의 성취-비성취 요인에서와 창의성제목의 추상성요인에서 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 창의성이 높은 아동의 아버지의 양육태도는 일반 유아의 아버지와 보다 더 애정적이며 자율성이 높지만 창의성이 높은 아동의 집단내에서 창의성에 특별한 영향을 더 미치는 아버지의 양육방식은 발견되지 않았다. 반면 일반 유아의 경우 아버지의 성취지향성이 낮을 때 자녀의 창의성을 향상시킬 수 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이상에서 자녀의 창의성을 향상시키는 중요한 양육차원은 애정성이나 비성취지향성으로 나타나고 있어 정서적인 측면의 지원인 것으로 밝혀졌다.징에서 나타나는 AD-SR맥락의 반성적 탐구가 자주 나타났다. 반성적 탐구 척도 두 그룹을 비교 했을 때 CON 상호작용의 특징이 낮게 나타나는 N그룹이 양적으로 그리고 내용적으로 더 의미 있는 반성적 탐구를 했다용을 지원하는 홈페이지를 만들어 자료 제공 사이트에 대한 메타 자료를 데이터베이스화했으며 이를 통해 학생들이 원하는 실시간 자료를 검색하여 찾을 수 있고 홈페이지를 방분했을 때 이해하기 어려운 그래프나 각 홈페이지가 제공하는 자료들에 대한 처리 방법을 도움말로 제공받을 수 있게 했다. 실시간 자료들을 이용한 학습은 학생들의 학습 의욕과 탐구 능력을 향상시켰으
