Ship-radiated noise received by passive sonar that can measure underwater noise can be identified and classified ship using Detection of Envelope Modulation on Noise (DEMON) analysis. However, in a low Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) environment, it is difficult to analyze and identify the target frequency line containing ship information in the DEMONgram. In this paper, we conducted a study to extract target frequency lines using semantic segmentation among deep learning techniques for more accurate target identification in a low SNR environment. The semantic segmentation models U-Net, UNet++, and DeepLabv3+ were trained and evaluated using simulated DEMONgram data generated by changing SNR and fundamental frequency, and the DEMONgram prediction performance of DeepShip, a dataset of ship-radiated noise recordings on the strait of Georgia in Canada, was compared using the trained models. As a result of evaluating the trained model with the simulated DEMONgram, it was confirmed that U-Net had the highest performance and that it was possible to extract the target frequency line of the DEMONgram made by DeepShip to some extent.

In the existing broadcasting environment, it is not easy to serve the bi-directional service between a broadcasting server and a TV audience. In the uni-directional broadcasting environments, almost TV programs are scheduled depending on the viewers' popular watching time, and the advertisement contents in these TV programs are mainly arranged by the popularity and the ages of the audience. The audiences make an effort to sort and select their favorite programs. However, the advertisement programs which support the TV program the audience want are not served to the appropriate audiences efficiently. This randomly provided advertisement contents can occur to the audiences' indifference and avoidance. In this paper, we propose the target advertisement service for the appropriate distribution of the advertisement contents. The proposed target advertisement service estimates the audience's profile without any issuing the private information and provides the target-advertised contents by using his/her estimated profile. For the experimental results, we used the real audiences' TV usage history such as the ages, fonder and time of the programs from AC Neilson Korea. And we show the accuracy of the proposed target advertisement service algorithm. NDS (Normalized Distance Sum) and the Vector correlation method, and implementation of our target advertisement service system.

In this paper, we introduce a method which enhances the azimuth resolution to obtain the high-resolution SAR image. We used ${\omega}-k$ algorithm to obtain the SAR image and extrapolation using auto-regressive(AR) method to enhance the azimuth resolution in the 2-D frequency domain. The AR method is a linear prediction model-based extrapolation technique. In the result, we showed the performance comparison with respect to the target range and the prediction order of Burg algorithm which is one of AR method.
To evaluate if the apoptotic fragment assay could be used to estimate the dose prediction after radiation exposure, we examined apoptotic mouse crypt cells per 1,000 cells after whole body $^{60}Co$$\gamma$-rays and 50MeV ($p{\rightarrow}Be^+$) cyclotron fast neutron irradiation in the range of 0.25 to 1 Gy, respectively. The incidence of apoptotic cell death rose steeply at very low doses up to 1 Gy, and radiation at all doses tigger rapid changes in crypt cells in stem cell region. These data suggest that apoptosis may play an important role in homeostasis of damaged radiosensitive target organ by removing damaged cells. The curve of dose-effect relationship for the data of apoptotic fragments was obtained by the linear-quadratic model $y=0.18+(9.728{\pm}0.887)D+(-4.727{\pm}1.033)D^2$ ($r^2=0.984$) after $\gamma$-rays irradiation, while $y=0.18+(5.125{\pm}0.601)D+(-2.652{\pm}0.7000)D^2$ ($r^2=0.970$) after neutrons in mice. The dose-response curves were linear-quadratic, and a significant dose-response relationship was found between the frequency of apoptotic cell and dose. These data show a trend towards increase of the numbers of apoptotic crypt cells with increasing dose. Both the time course and the radiation dose-response curve for high and low linear energy transfer (LET) radiation modalities were similar. The relative biological effectiveness (RBE) value for crypt cells was 2.072. In addition, there were significant peaks on apoptosis induction at 4 and 6h after irradiation, and the morpholoigcal findings of the irradiated groups were typical apoptotic fragments in crypt cells that were hardly observed in the control group. Thus, apoptosis in crypt cells could be a useful in vivo model for studying radio-protective drug sensitivity or screening test, microdosimetric indicator and radiation-induced target organ injury. Since the apoptotic fragment assay is simple, rapid and reproducible in the range of 0.25 to 1 Gy, it will also be a good tool for evaluating the dose response of radiation-induced organ damage in vivo and provide a potentially valuable biodosimetry for the early dose prediction after accidental exposure.
In order to estimate the detection range of a active SONAR system, the SONAR equation is commonly used. In this paper, an algorithm to calculate detection range in active SONAR system as function of SONAR depth and target depth is presented. For given SONAR parameters and environment, the transmission loss and background level are found, signal excess is computed. Using log-normal distribution, signal excess is converted to detection probability at each range. Then, the detection range is obtained by integrating the detection probability as function of range for each depth. The proposed algorithm have been applied to the case of omni-directional source with center frequency 30Hz for summer and winter sound profiles. It is found that the optimal search depth is the source depth since the detection range increase at source depth where the signal excess is maximized.

In this paper, the Autocoast algorithm is proposed for EOTS to overcome the target occlusion status. Coast mode, one of tracking modes, is to maintain the servo slew rate with the tracking rate right before the loss of track. The Autocoast algorithm makes decision of entering coast mode by the prediction of target occlusion and tries to refind target after the coast time. This algorithm composes of 3 steps, the first step is the prediction process of the occlusion by target-like background, the second one is the check process of the occlusion happened after background intensity variation, and the last one is the process of refinding target. The result of computer simulation, test under laboratory, and real test with EOTS shows the applicability for the automatic video tracking system.

The acoustic target strength (TS) of submarine is associated with its active detection, positioning and classification. That is, the survivability of submarine depends on its target strength. So it should be managed with all possible means. An anechoic coating to existing submarine or changing of curvature can be considered as major measures to reduce the TS of submarine. It is mainly based on the prediction of its TS. Under this circumstances, a study on the more accurate numerical methods becomes big topic for submarine design. In this paper, Kirchhoff approximation method was adopted as a numerical tool for the physical optics region. Secondly, the scaled models of submarine were built and tested in order to verify its performance. Through the comparison, it was found out that the Kirchhoff approximation method could be good design tool for the prediction of TS of submarine.

In this paper, we propose a method for vehicle tracking systems using fuzzy logic. The standard ${\alpha}$-${\beta}$ filter estimates the future target positions using fixed ${\alpha}$,${\beta}$ coefficients. We utilize the if-then fuzzy logic to make ${\alpha}$ and ${\beta}$ coefficients vary with the position. Comparisons are made in tracking vehicles using three different schemes: the standard ${\alpha}$-${\beta}$ filter, ${\alpha}$-${\beta}$ filter using fuzzy logic, and the Kalman filter.

Fire control system(FCS) errors can be classified as hardware errors, filter prediction errors, effective ballistic function errors, and aiming errors. Among these errors, the filter prediction errors are the most significant error sources. To reduce them, a target future position calculation method using the acceleration estimate is suggested and it is compared with the constant velocity target prediction method. Simulation results show that the suggested method has better performance than the constant velocity prediction method. Target tracking algorithm is established with multiple target tracking filters based on IMM structure.
