Temperature Dependence of Oxygen Diffusivity in the PVC Film on Gold Electrode Using Steady-State Rotating Disk Electrode Technique and Modulated Electrohydrodynamic Impedance Technique (정상상태 회전원판전극(RDE) 방법과 유체역학적 요동에 의한 전기화학적(EHD) 임피던스방법을 이용한 금전극표면에 형성된 PVC 피막내 산소확산계수의 온도의존성에 대한 연구)

  • In the present we.k, temperature dependence of oxygen diffusivity in the polyvinyl chloride (PVC) film $D_f$ formed on gold electrode was investigated using steady-state rotating disk electrode (RDE) technique and modulated electrohydrodynamic (EHD) impedance technique. Both the diffusion rate defined as the ratio of oxygen diffusivity in the PVC film to the film thickness $D_f/\delta_f$ and the time constant $\delta_f^2/D_f$ for oxygen diffusion through the PVC film were obtained from plot of the limiting current versus disk rotation speed and from filing the EHD impedance spectra experimentally measured to those theoretically calculated on the basis of the diffusion equation for mass transport through the non-conductive and porous film, respectively. By combining measured $D_f/\delta_f$ with $\delta_f^2/D_f$, we determined $\delta_f\;and\;D_f$ at room temperature separately. As temperature increased, it appeared that the $D_f$ value measured for the PVC film-covered gold RDE was enhanced more rapidly than that $D_s$ value in the solution measured for the PVC film-free gold RDE. This means that the pores glowing with increasing temperature act as effective diffusion paths within the film. The present in-situ steady-state and modulated EHD measurements prove to be effective for determining $\delta_f\;and\;D_f$, separately and at the same time the porosity of the PVC film at temperatures below glass temperature $T_g$ of the film.

Reactivities of Di-iso-butylnitrosoamine by Anodic Film Formed on Metals (산화피막전극을 이용한 디이소부틸니트로소아민의 전극반응)

  • To investigate the characteristics of anodic film formed on metals and the reactivities of organic inhibitor Di-iso-butylnitrosoamine (DBNA) in sea water. the cathodic reactions of anodic film formed on metals were carried out by using the potential drop method and galvanostatic method at $25^{\circ}C$. The investigated results are as follows: The anodic films formed on aluminum and zinc in 60mM $DBNA+9\%_{\circ}$ sea water did not show-changes of potential drop. However, those formed on lead and copper were reasonable electrodes. It was concluded that cathodic reactivities of proton through the anodic film in aqueous solution were constant without regard to the kinds of metals used with anodic film electrode at operated current density ranges, because the values of transition time obtained in 0.5M sodium chloride solution and $9\%_{\circ}$ sea water nearly coincided. The values of transition time of the first step by the galvanostatic method were obtained from 0.22 to 1.40 sec ranges far less than one minute. Therefore, it suggested that cathodic reactions of proton through the anodic film were mainly controlled by diffusion/adsorption process. The differences of between $\tau_{1}/4$ in $9\%_{\circ}$ sea water and $\tau_{1}/4$ in 60mM $DBNA+9\%_{\circ}$ sea water, and between $E_{1}/4$ in sea water and $E_{1}/4$ in 60mM $DBNA+9\%_{\circ}$ sea water at the constant current density with $1.9\times10^{-4}\sim5.0{\times}10^{-6}\;amp/cm^2$ were 0.06 sec and 0.53 v. respectively and cathodic reactions of DBNA on the anodic film electrodes were chiefly controlled by adsorption/diffusion process. The reason that adsorption quantities of proton on anodic film formed on aluminum and zinc in aqueous solutions were much more than those on lead and copper, seems to lie due mostly to the number of porosity produced on anodic film used.

Effects of Charge-discharge Rate on Morphology and Resistance of Surface Film on a Graphite Negative Electrode in an Ethylene Carbonate-based Solution (탄산 에틸렌계 용액 중에서 생성되는 흑연 음극 표면피막의 형상 및 저항에 미치는 충방전 속도의 영향)

  • The behavior of surface film formation was greatly dependent on the speed of potential cycling. In $LiClO_4$ / EC + DEC, cyclic voltammetry results showed that the peaks originated from surface film formation on graphite electrode at the high charge-discharge rate was shifted to the lower potentials as the charge-discharge rate decrease. This indicates that surface films with different morphology and thickness were formed by different charge-discharge rate. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) results indicated that the properties such as thickness and morphology of the surface film were greatly affected by the charge-discharge rate. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) showed that the resistance of surface film was affected by the speed of potential cycling. In addition, the charge transfer resistance was also dependent on the charge-discharge rate indicating that the charge transfer reaction was affected by the nature of surface film. TEM and EIS results suggested that the chemical property as well as the physical property of the surface film was affected by the charge-discharge rate.

  • PET 섬유는 굴절률이 1.64로서 다른 섬유에 비해 높고 표면이 매끄러우며 몰흡광계수가 낮은 분산염료로 염색되기 때문에 섬유표면에서 가시광선의 반사율이 커서 염색된 후에도 색이 진하게 보이지 않는 결점이 있다. PET 섬유의 심색화법으로는 염료가 쉽게 침투할 수 있게 구조를 변화시키거나, 섬유를 개질하여 흡광성이 우수한 염기성 염료 등으로 염색을 하는 방법, 섬유표면에 요철구조를 만들고 저굴절율의 수지피막을 형성시켜 빛의 표면반사를 줄여주는 방법 등이 가능한 것으로 알려져 있다. (중략)

  • 상용 AZ계열 마그네슘합금에 Ca을 첨가한 경우 발화저항성은 증가한 반면에 내식성은 감소하였다. 이에 비하여 Ca과 Y을 복합첨가한 경우에는 발화저항성 뿐만 아니라 내식성도 크게 향상되었다. 이는 합금원소의 종류 및 첨가량 변화에 따른 제2상의 종류와 분율의 변화 및 표면피막의 특성 변화에 기인한다.

  • 최근의 반도체 장비와 디스플레이 장비는 구분이 가지 않을 정도로 상호 복합 하이브리드 장비로 급진전되고 있다. 이들 장비의 부품 중에서 인터페이스를 제외한 기타 부품은 최첨단 최신형 신소재로 제작되어 최고의 부가가치를 누리며 전세계의 경제의 중심 축에 있지만, 반면에 의외로 스텐레스 스틸로 만든 헨드폰 본체가 모터롤라에서 제작되어 대 히트를 치는 것처럼 구형 소재의 표면 개선은 신소재 개발 못지 않게 아직도 응용 면에서 중요한 의미가 있다. 이에 이 연구에서는 값이 상대적으로 매우 저렴한 소재인 탄소강을 선정하여 TiN 피막 제조하고 그 특성을 알아보기 위해 SEM 측정과 서로 다른 세 종류의 경도계를 이용하여 경도값을 측정하였다. 결과적으로 모재 자체가 연성인 관계로 표면 강도가 크게 개선되지는 않지만 고급화된 색상과 높은 광택을 나타내었다.

  • In this paper, we developed the equipment to forming the insulation film which there are operated an electrolysis principles in particular solution. In the earlier, there are supplied the anode by unipolar voltage with pulse, in this paper, there are supplied the anode by bipolar voltage with pulse, alternately. And then, we examinate the system that there are developed the bipolar anodizing equipment using H-bridge. There are modulated pulse width for the variable current. In the results, we obtained the results of the uniform film surface that compared with the unipolar anodizing.

  • Silicon (Si) has been investigated as promising negative-electrode (anode) materials because its theoretical specific capacity of 4200 mAh/g for $Li_{4.4}Si$ is far higher than that of carbonaceous anodes in current commercial products. However, in practice, the application of Si to Li-ion batteries is still quite challenging because Si suffers from severe volume expansion and contraction and lead to a continuous solid electrolyte interphase (SEI)-filming process by cracking of Si. This process consumes the limited $Li^+$ source, builds up thick and unstable SEI layer on the Si active materials, and will eventually disable the cell. Since unstable SEI reduces electrochemical performance and thermal stability of the Si anode, the surface chemistry of the anode should be modified by using a functional additive. It is found that lithium bis(oxalato)borate (LiBOB) as an additive effectively protected the Si anode surface, improved capacity retention when stored at $60^{\circ}C$, and alleviated exothermic thermal reactions of fully lithiated Si anode.

Relationship between Hydrophobicity and Pellicle Formation in a Film Strain of Hansenula beijerinckii FY-5 Isolated from Apple Wine (사과주(酒) 산막효묘(産膜酵母) Hansenula beijerinckii FY-5 의 소수성(疏水性)과 산막성(産膜性)과의 관련성(關聯性))

  • Relationship between cell surface hydrophobicity and pellicle formation was studied in a film strain isolated from stored apple wine and identified as Hansenula beijerinckii FY-5. In the media containing non-ionic surface-active agents the pellicle formation of strain FY-5 was efficiently repressed, whereas growth of the yeast was possible, and also cell surface hydrophobicity was greatly decreased by the addition of these agents. These results indicate that a pellicle formation factor, which keeps yeast cells floating on the medium surface, is necessary for the pellicle formation, and surely this factor is the hydrophobicity of the cell surface. The pellicle formation in the film strains was abundant with the increase of the cell surface hydrophobicity, whereas the non-film strains had less hydrophobicity as compared with the film strains. Ethanol, as a sole carbon source, efficiently increased hydrophobicity more than glucose, and the hydrophobicity was lowered with the rise of pH. In the experiments of time course, the hydrophobicity was increased in proportion to cell growth, and was maximum during the stationary phase.

국산초경공구의 절삭성에 관한 비교 연구

  • 이제까지의 결과를 종합하여 보면 다음과 같은 결론을 얻을 수 있다. 1. 국산 비피막공구는 의 산에 비하여 많은 절삭영역에서 양호한 성능을 가지고 있다. 2. 국산 비피막공구 W2는 중간 절 삭 영역에서 국산 W1과 외산 W3, W4보다 우수한 성능을 나타낸다. 3. W1은 저속이거나 절삭 깊이가 클 때, W2보다 좋은 성능을 가진다. 4. W1은 대체로 플랭크 마모에 의하여, W2는 저속. 저이송에서는 프랭크마모 그리고 그밖의 영역에서는 크레이터 마모에 의하여 수명이 결정된다. 5. 국산 피막공구 CW7은 외산 CW10, 13에 비하여 내마모성이 매우 좋다. 6. 중간절삭영역에서 W 2의 표면조도는 W1, W3, W4에 비하여 훨씬 좋다. 7. 피막층 유무와 피막재질에 따른 국산 및 외산의 절삭력 차이는 거의 없다.
