Signal Attenuation in Satellite-Land Mobile Communication (통신 위성과 지상 차량간의 통신에 있어서 신호감쇠)

  • Using Fresnel diffraction theory a formula is drived for signal intensity variation caused by finite strip obstacles. Signal intensity according to parameter variation of the obstacle is theoretically calculated by a computer and compared with experimental results. For the experiment, an acryl board 3 mm thick was used on which a special material was painted to prevent some reflections and transmissions of the incident wave. 10-element Yagi antennas were used for transmitting and receiving antenna and the frequency was 820 MHz. Finally a tree model was made as a combination of many different finite strip obstacles. Signal attenuation calculated from numerical analysis agree reasonably with experimental data.

  • In this paper, it is studied a novel SAW oscillator by applicating SAW delay characteristics, which can be variable its frequencies by consiting of two output IDT(Inter-Digital Transducer) without external filtering and resonating circuits. The results of experiments showed the temperature characteristics of AT-cut quartz which has been used as frequency-determing substrate of SAW oscillator was good. Though the variable frequencies range was narrow but the experiments showed the possibility to broaden its frequencies range by design of SAW device, and also confromed the stability of fundamental wave oscillating in high frequency range.

An Approximate Closed Form Representation of the Microstrip Dyadic Surface Green's Function (Mictrostrip Dyadic 표면 Green 함수의 근사표현식)

  • A simple closed form approximation is developed by a new approach presented in this paper for the microstrip surface dyadic Green's function which arises in the problem of an electric current point source on an infinite planar grounded dielectric substrate. This closed form approximation includes the effects of the space wave, the surface wave and their coupling within the transition region near the source, and remains accurate as near as $0.1{\pi}_1$ from the source point for a substrate thickness as large as $0.04{\pi}_1$, where, ${\pi}_1$, is the free space wavelength, This result can significantly facilitate the rigorous moment method analysis of microstrip antenna arrays on relatively this substrates of practical interest. Numerical results illustrating the accuracy of the closed form approximation are presented and CPU times associated with some mutual impedance calculations are also included.

  • A systematic study of Bloch surface wave (BSW), which is created by guided mode resonance (GMR) of dielectric multilayer structures with a grating profile, is presented to analyze the sensing performance of bio-sensors. The effect of structural parameters on optical behavior is evaluated by using Babinet's principle and modal transmission-line theory. The sensitivity of designed bio-sensors is proportional to the grating constant at wavelength spectrum, and inversely proportional to the normal wave vector of incident electromagnetic wave at angular spectrum. Numerical results for two devices with SiO/SiO2 and TiO2/SiO2 multilayer dielectric stacks are presented, showing that BSW can be exploited for the realization of efficient diffraction-based bio-sensors from infrared to visible-band range.

  • 지구 전체 표면적의 약 70%인 바다는 석유를 포함한 각종 수산자원이 풍부하지만 인간은 바다로 접근하기 위해 파도, 태풍 등의 날씨에 절대적인 영향을 받기 때문에 쉽게 접근하기 어렵다. 이 경우 해양 관련 정보를 얻고 분석 및 활용하기 위해 IoT (Internet of Things)의 기반 기술인 센서네트워크를 사용할 수 있다. 하지만 바다에 센서네트워크를 적용하기 위해서는 파도, 태풍을 포함한 염분 등을 충분히 고려해야 한다. 게다가 수중 통신을 사용할 경우 수중에서는 전파를 사용할 수 없기 때문에 음파와 같이 수중에서 통신이 가능한 방법을 선택해야 한다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 해양센서네트워크 기술의 현장 적용을 위한 고려사항에 대해 논의하고, 실제 가두리 양식장에 설치 운용한 사례를 소개한다.

  • 이동체 탑재형 안테나는 특성상 소형화 및 신호 추적 시간 단축이 중요한 요소이다. 이러한 특성은 위상변위기를 이용한 전자적인 빔 조향 방식으로 한층 더 보완할 수 있다. 현재 이동체에서 주로 사용되고 있는 DBS (Direct Broadcasting Satellite) 수신용 안테나는 패치 및 슬롯 형태의 안테나 소자를 배열하여 사용한다. 하지만 이러한 안테나 소자는 전방위각에 대해 인공위성 방향(앙각 45도)에서 이득 손실이 있기 때문에 위상변위기를 이용한 빔 조향 방식에서 사용하기에는 문제점을 가지고 있다. 따라서 모든 방위각에 대해 앙각 45도에서 최대 이득 특성을 갖는 안테나 소자를 이용해 이득 손실을 줄이는 것은 큰 의미가 있다. 본 논문에서는 monopole 주변에 PBG(Photonic Band Gap) 구조를 구현함으로써 표면파를 억제하여 앙각 45도 방향에서 최대 이득 특성을 보이는 안테나 소자를 제안한다.

SAW Filter Transmission Characteristics Design with Genetic Algorithm

  • The SAW device is extensively used as a electro$.$mechanical band­pass filter in which a two­pairs of interdigital transducers are provided over the surface of the piezoelectric substrate. For the design requirement, the central frequency and the bandwidth of the passband, and the attenuation level of the stopband region are specified. The configuration is made so as to satisfy the specification given. The central frequency is mainly determined by the distance between the pair of the finger electrodes. The design is considered as an optimization problem with which the error norm, the distance between the desired characteristics and the calculated for a given model is to be minimized. The delta function model and the electrical equivalent circuit model are utilized to represent the SAW filter characteristics. Genetic algorithm is used for optimization in which apodization of the transducer fingers is chosen as a design variable.

  • 파장 가변형 광 필터와 파장 선택형 광 스위치는 파장분할다중 광통신 및 광 교환 시스템을 구현하는데 매우 중요한 소자들 중의 하나이다. 특히 음향광학효과를 이용한 파장 가변형 광 필터(AOTF : Acousto-Optic Tunable Filter)는 150nm 이상의 넓은 파장 가변범위, 1.5nm이하의 좁은 통과대역폭, 수 $\mu\textrm{s}$ 정도의 비교적 빠른 스위칭 속도 그리고 여러 개의 파장 채널을 동시에 선택할 수 있는 장점들을 가지고 있지만, 한편으로 표면 음향파(SAW: Surface Acoustic Wave) 구동에 필요한 RF 파워와 부 모드 (sidelobe)가 비교적 크다는 단점 때문에 실용화에 많은 제약을 받아왔다.   • Organic field-effect transistors (OFETs) are of interest for use in widely area electronic applications. We fabricated a copper phthalocyanine (CuPc) based field-effect transistor with different metal electrode. So we need the effect of the substituent group attached to the phthalocyanine on the surface potential was investigated by Kelvin probe method with varying temperature of the substrate. We were obtained the positive shift of the surface potential for CuPc thin film. We observed the electron displacement at the interface between Au electrode and CuPc layer and we were confirmed by the surface potential measurement.

  • Currently, SAW Device has been used as a frequency filter using the property of passing only a desired frequency with a narrow bandwidth. However, the areas of activity in various fields since the permanent advantages can be widened by using a non-powered. These sensor tags using SAW Device has been done, but a lot of research, the development of the state still insufficient for Reader Platform. How to read the value of the ID Tag Using SAW Device has a time domain sampling (TDS) method and a frequency domain sampling (FDS) method. The purpose of the paper, we use the FDS method that requires high-speed processing with a relatively slow sampling rate does not require high-speed sampling. Reader Platform was the way to detect ID through PC as FDS way, but It is based on the Cortex-A9 processor and it works a low price, compact and real-time Reader Platform.
