A Study on the Improvement of Intaglio Characters Recognition of Rubber Tires (고무타이어의 음각 문자 인식 향상에 관한 연구)

  • In today's rapidly growing contemporary society, there is a tendency for demand to automate production processes by utilizing the vision system. In general, image recognition is mainly concerned with embossed characters such as license plates, and research on recognition of intaglio characters is very limited. Especially, intaglio characters, which are marked on rubber related products such as tire surfaces, have difficulty in recognizing characters or numbers through image because the difference in brightness with surrounding is not so large. In this paper, we propose a system to improve the recognition rate of characters marked on intaglio rubber products such as tire surfaces. Also, it can be applied flexibly according to the lighting environment. Through the proposed system, production and inventory management and defect detection can be processed quickly by applying to the production process of tire and rubber products.

  • The media facade technique requires the matching process of the content to the projection target. For this reason, each time the projection target is changed, the matching process of the same content must be performed again at each time. This problem can be solved by analyzing the elevation of the object and automatically performing matching process of the content in real time and projecting the matched content. In this paper, we propose and implement a new algorithm that can obtain the optimized matching content in real time by analyzing the elevation of the object to be projected. The proposed method processes the image matching by using the depth information of the elevation obtained by IR cameras.

Parameter Mismatches and its Biases in Ocean Matched Field Processing (해양 정합장처리에서 매개변수 오정합과 바이어스)

  • In matched field processing (MEP), the observed acoustic field data is basically correlated with the replica produced by the modeling. therefore the results of source localization and correlation is limited by the mismatch of the environment and sensor location. In this paper. the effects of mismatch in environment and system on the bias in estimating the source location are investigated in the context of source localization. In the Pekeris waveguide, the simulation shows that the mismatches in environment and system, can cause a significant biases in the source localization and a degradation in MFP correlation. Mismatch caused by uncertainties in array tilt and depth, bottom depth, bottom sound speed, etc. causes degradation in source localization performance.

  • 현재 소자 제작에 응용되는 수소화된 비정질 실리콘은 PECVD 방법으로 제작하는 것이 보편적인 방법이다. 그러나 비정질 실리콘 박막 트랜지스터는 band gap edge 근처에서 국재준위가 많아 mobility가 작으며 상온에서 조차 불안정하여 신뢰성이 높지 않고, 도핑된 비정질 실리콘의 높은 비저항 등의 단점으로 인하여 고속 회로에 응용이 불가능하다. 반면 다결정질 실리콘 박막 트랜지스터는 a-Si:H TFT 에 비해 재현성이 우수하고 high resolution, high resolution, high contrast LCD에 응용할 수 있다. 하지만, 다결정 실리콘의 grain boundary로 인해 단결정에 비해 많은 defect 들이 존재하여 전도성을 감소시킨다. 따라서 Mobility를 증가시키기 위해서 grain size를 증가시키고 grain boundary 내에 존재하는 trap center를 감소시켜야 한다. 따라서 본 실험에서는 PECVD 장비로 초기 기판을 plasma 처리하여 다결정 실리콘 박막을 제작하여, 기판 처리에 대한 다결정 실리콘 박막의 성장의 특성을 조사하였다. 실험 방법으로는 PECVD 시스템을 이용하여 SiH4 gas와 H2 gas를 선택적으로 증착시키는 LBL 방법을 사용하여 $\mu$c-Si:H 박막을 제작하였다. 비정질 층을 gas plasma treatment 하여 다결정질 실리콘의 증착 initial stage 관찰을 주목적으로 관찰하였다. 다결정 실리콘 박막의 구조적 성질을 조사하기 위하여 Raman, AFM, SEM, XRD를 이용하여 grain 크기와 결정화도에 대해 측정하여 결정성장 mechanism을 관측하였다. LBL 방법으로 증착시킨 박막의 Raman 분석을 통해서 박막 증착 초기에 비정질이 증착된 후에 결정질로 상태가 변화됨을 관측할 수 있었고, SEM image를 통해서 증착 회수를 증가시키면서 grain size가 작아졌다 다시 커지는 현상을 볼 수 있었다. 이 비정질 층의 transition layer를 gas plasma 처리를 통해서 다결정 핵 형성에 영향을 관측하여 적정한 gas plasma를 통해서 다결정질 실리콘 박막 증착 공정을 단축시킬 수 있는 가능성을 짐작할 수 있었고, 또한 표면의 roughnes와 morphology를 AFM을 통하여 관측함으로써 다결정 박막의 핵 형성에 알맞은 증착 표면 특성을 분석 할 수 있었다.

Effect of Fluidized Bed Powdered Activated Carbon Impregnated by Iron Oxide Nano-particles on Enhanced Operation and NOM Removal of MF Membrane System (산화철 나노입자 표면개질 분말활성탄 유동층에 의한 MF 막 분리 공정의 운전 및 NOM 제거 효율 향상)

  • Effects of powdered activated carbon impregnated by iron oxide nano particle (Impregnated PAC) on the microfiltration (MF) membrane system performance in NOM removal from water were investigated in this study. A fluidized bed column was employed as a pretreatment of MF membrane process. The Impregnated PAC bed was stably maintained at an upflow rate of 63 m/d without leakage of the Impregnated PAC particles, which provided a contact time of 29 minutes. A magnetic ring at the upper part of the column could effectively hold the overflowing discrete particles. The Impregnated PAC column demonstrated a significant enhancement in the MF membrane performance in terms of fouling prevention and natural organic matter (NOM) removal. Trans-membrane pressure of the MF membrane increased to 41 kPa in 98 hours of operation, while it could be maintained at 12 kPa with the Impregnated PAC pretreatment. Removal of NOM determined by dissolved organic carbon and UV254 was also enhanced from 46% and 51% to 75% and 84%, respectively, by the pretreatment. It was found that the Impregnated PAC effectively removed a wide range of different molecular-sized organic compounds from size exclusion analysis.

선형대향타겟 스퍼터를 이용하여 성막시킨 InSnTiO 박막의 특성 연구

  • 본 연구에서는 선형 대향 타겟 스퍼터 (Linear Facing Target Sputtering: LFTS) 시스템을 이용하여 ITO와 Ti doped $In_2O_3$ (TIO) 타겟을 Co-sputtering한 InSnTiO 투명 전극의 전기적, 광학적 특성을 연구하였다. InSnTiO 투명전극의 전기/광학적 및 구조적 특성은 Hall measurement, UV/Vis spectrometry, X-ray Diffraciton 분석법을 통해 최적화 하였고, DC power, substrate to target distance (TSD), target to target distance (TTD), ambient treatment 변수 조절을 통해 최적화된 LFTS InSnTiO 투명전극을 제작하였다. LFTS 공정을 이용한 InSnTiO 투명전극의 성막 공정 중 DC파워와 공정압력 변화에 따른 구조적, 표면적 특성 변화는 Field-Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FE-SEM) 과 X-ray Diffractometer (XRD) 분석을 통해 관찰하였다. 이렇게 증착된 InSnTiO 투명전극은 급속열처리 시스템으로 (Rapid Thermal Annealing system) 후열처리를 진행하여 투과도의 향상과 면저항의 감소를 확인하였다. 본 연구에서는 다양한 분석을 통해 Co-sputtering한 InSnTiO 박막의 특성과 다양한 장점을 소개한다.

  • This paper proposes the human arm motion tracking algorithm based on the signal processing for surface EMG (electromyogram) sensors attached on both upper arm and shoulder. The signals acquired by using surface EMG sensors are processed with choosing the maximum in a short period, taking the absolute value, and filtering noises out with a low-pass filter. The processed signals are directly used for the motion generation of virtual arm in real time simulator. The virtual arm of simulator has two degrees of freedom and complies with the flexion and extension motions of elbow and shoulder. Also, we show the validity of the suggested algorithms through the experiments.

  • We have developed m innovative surface inspection system for automated quality control for steel products in POSCO. We had ever installed the various kinds of surface inspection systems, such as a linear CCD and a laser typed surface inspection systems at cold rolled strips production lines. But, these systems cannot fulfill the sufficient detection and classification rate, and real time processing performance. In order to increase detection and classification rate, we have used the Dark, Bright and Transition Field illumination and area type CCD camera, and fur the real time image processing, parallel computing has been used. In this paper, we introduced the automatic surface inspection system and real time image processing technique using the Object Detection, Defect Detection, Classification algorithms and its performance obtained at the production line.

  • 콘크리트 구조물이 지진 등으로 손상을 입었을 때 그 내부 상태를 파악하는 일은 구조물의 안전성 판단에 필요한 중요 과정중 하나이다 손상도 파악에 사용되는 비파괴 검사 방법 중 레이더법은 현재 콘크리트 부재의 두께와 매립된 철근 및 공동 탐사에 적용되고 있다 레이더법은 다른 비파괴 검사 방법에서와 마찬가지로 측정된 신호의 처리와 해석에 따라 그 결과가 좌우된다 . 이논문에서는 상용 레이더 시스템에서 얻어지는 화상 데이트터를 개선하는 방법을 개발하여 철근이 매립된 콘크리트 시편에 적용하였다 실험에 사용된 기편의 크기는 1,000mm(길이)$\times$600mm (폭) $\times$140mm(두께) 이고 철근의 매립깊이는 표면으로부터 철근 중심까지 60mm 이다 레이더 실측 실험에서 철근의 수평배근 간격을 60 90, 120, 150 mm 로 변화시켜 간격탐사가능성을 시험하였다 결과적으로 상용 시스템에 비해 샹상된 판별효과를 나타냈으며 배근 간격이 90, 120, 150mm 인 시편에서 그 간격을 정확히 찾아내었다.
