The Effect of Support Material of Ceramic MF Membrane on the Fouling and backwashing Efficiency (세라믹 정밀여과막의 지지체 재질이 막오염과 역세척 효율에 미치는 영향)

  • 김치산업에서 원재료의 염적공정중에 발생하는 폐염적수를 처리하여 염적공정에 재사용하는 새로운 시스템을 개발하였다. 관형 정밀여과막을 사용한 본 연구에서 막오염의 감소와 높은 막투과유속의 유지를 위하여 산역세척과 투과수역세척이 도입되었고 대상이 되었던 세공크기가 비슷한 4종류의 막(Carbosep M14, Membralox Z100, Membralox A200, Microdyne MD020TP 2N)에 대하여 역세척의 효율이 각각 다르게 나타났다. 특히 지르코니아 재질의 막 표면과 탄소재질의 지지체로 이루어진 Carbosep M14 세라믹막은 투과수역세척시에 역세척을 하지 않았을 때 보다 오히려 투과유속이 감소하는 특이한 현상이 관찰되었고 이러한 역세척 효율의 차이의 원인을 규명하기위한 연구가 진행되었다. 4종류의 막에 대하여 전처리된 폐염적수의 여과시 진행되는 막오염 메카니즘을 알아보기 위하여 문헌에서 잘 알려진 4가지의 여과모델식을 적용하여 보았고 직렬여과저항모델을 이용하여 여과저항을 세분하여 측정하였다. 모델식의 적용결과 역세척의 효율이 좋은 3종류의 막에는 막표면의 케이크형성이 주된 투과유속의 감소원인임을 알아내었고 carbosep M14 막은 용존유기물의 비가역적인 흡착과 세공막힘이 주된 원인임을 알 수 있었다.

  • It is hard to expect excellent electrical, mechanical and chemical properties from most of the composite materials presently used as insulators due to insufficient wettability property caused by the difference of interfacial properties between the matrix material and the reinforcer. Therefore, various interfacial coupling agents have been developed to improve the interfacial properties of composite materials. But if the wettable coupling agents are used outdoor for a long time, change in quality takes place in the coupling agents themselves, bringing about deterioration of the properties of the composite materials. In this study, glass surface was treated by plasma to examine the effect of dry interface treatment without coupling agent. It was identified that the optimum parameters for the best wettability of the samples at the time of generation of plasma were oxygen atmosphere, 0.1 torr of system pressure, 100 W of discharge power, and 3 minutes of discharge time. Also, the surface resistance rate and dielectric property were improved.

Analysis of Far Infrared Image for Accuracy Improvement in Night Discharge Measurement using Surface Image Velocimeter (표면영상유속계(SIV)의 야간 하천 유량 측정 정확도 향상을 위한 원적외선 영상 분석 연구)

  • 최근 기후변화로 빈번하게 발생하는 국지성 집중호우로 인해 홍수 피해가 증가하고 있으며, 이에 따라 유량 계측 자료의 필요성이 더욱 증대되고 있다. 현재까지 하천의 홍수 유량측정은 대부분 부자법에 의해 수행되어 왔지만, 측정 작업의 위험성이나 측정 정확도에 대해 여러 문제점이 지적되고 있다. 이에 비접촉식 측정 방법으로 안전하고 측정방식이 간편하며 높은 정확도를 갖춘 표면영상유속측정법(Surface Image Velocimetry, SIV)에 대한 연구가 활발하게 진행되고 있다. 다만 표면영상유속측정법의 경우 질 좋은 영상 촬영을 위해 밝은 빛이 필요하고, 일반적으로 매우 작은 규모의 하천을 제외하고는 영상 획득이 어렵다는 한계가 있다. 이와 같은 문제들을 해결하기 위해 최근 류권규 등(2015)은 영상 획득 장비로 원적외선 카메라의 적용성을 검토한 바 있다. 원적외선 카메라의 경우 별도의 조명을 필요로 하지 않기 때문에 주야간 구분 없이 사용 가능하다는 장점이 있으며 실제 하천에서 홍수와 함께 발생하는 안개의 영향 또한 받지 않아 고정식으로 설치하여 하천 유량측정 시스템을 구성하는 좋은 대안이 될 수 있음을 강조하였다. 다만, 원적외선 카메라는 야간에 적용시 주간과 비교하여 수표면의 움직임이 느리게 분석되는 경향이 있다고 하였다. 실험 결과를 보면, 소형 프로펠러 유속계로 측정한 수표면의 유속값에 비교하여 일반 캠코더 영상으로 산정한 유속 산정 결과의 상대오차는 최대 -10%인 반면, 원적외선 카메라 영상으로 산정한 유속 산정 결과의 오차는 -9%에서 -19%(주간), -10% 에서 -23%까지의 오차 범위를 나타내는 등 일반 캠코더에 비해 원적외선 카메라의 정확도가 다소 떨어지는 결과를 나타냈으며, 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해서는 원적외선 영상의 명암값 분포 차이를 해결하기 위해 영상 처리 기법에 대한 추가적인 연구가 필요할 것이라고 하였다. 이에 본 연구에서는 원적외선 영상에 대한 다양한 영상 개선을 통해 표면영상유속계의 유속 측정 정확도를 높이고자 하였다. 이를 위해 우선, 적정 해상도와 시간간격을 제시하였으며, 영상의 색 보정과 영상 강화 등의 영상 개선을 통해 원적외선 영상을 이용한 유속 산정 정확도를 향상하였고, 마지막으로 다양한 야간 하천 흐름 조건에 적용하여 원적외선 영상을 활용한 표면영상유속계의 유속 측정 정확도를 높이고자 하였다.

  • This study inspects the fault of the vehicle forming assembly and the assembly state of components at high speed and high degree of precision. This study also proposes the general inspection system capable of adapting to a number of products. The inspection program is composed of the fault inspection algorithm to examine the surface of the object and the state of the assembly and the high speed procession algorithm for the real time examination. The fault inspection algorithm is processed largely by a method using average of pixel in ROI and a method dividing the area and checking the presence of the object. Lastly, we verified the efficiency of the sysytem through the evaluation of its accuracy and processing time.

  • A synthetic aperture radar (SAR) system can provide all-weather, day and night imaging capability, and thus, is very useful in surveillance for both civil and military applications. In this paper, the X-band spaceborne SAR system design procedure is introduced with the key design parameters for mission and system requirements characterized by the small satellite platform. The SAR imaging mode design technique is presented, and the design results are analyzed for standard mode performance evaluation. In line with the system requirements, the X-band SAR payload and ground reception/processing sub-systems are presented with the key design results and image applications examples. The designed small satellite SAR system shows the wide range of imaging capability, and proves to be an effective surveillance system in light-weight, high-performance and cost-effective points of view.

Development of a real-time surface image velocimeter using an android smartphone (스마트폰을 이용한 실시간 표면영상유속계 개발)

  • The present study aims to develop a real-time surface image velocimeter (SIV) using an Android smartphone. It can measure river surface velocity by using its built-in sensors and processors. At first the SIV system figures out the location of the site using the GPS of the phone. It also measures the angles (pitch and roll) of the device by using its orientation sensors to determine the coordinate transform from the real world coordinates to image coordinates. The only parameter to be entered is the height of the phone from the water surface. After setting, the camera of the phone takes a series of images. With the help of OpenCV, and open source computer vision library, we split the frames of the video and analyzed the image frames to get the water surface velocity field. The image processing algorithm, similar to the traditional STIV (Spatio-Temporal Image Velocimeter), was based on a correlation analysis of spatio-temporal images. The SIV system can measure instantaneous velocity field (1 second averaged velocity field) once every 11 seconds. Averaging this instantaneous velocity measurement for sufficient amount of time, we can get an average velocity field. A series of tests performed in an experimental flume showed that the measurement system developed was greatly effective and convenient. The measured results by the system showed a maximum error of 13.9 % and average error less than 10 %, when we compared with the measurements by a traditional propeller velocimeter.

  • One of the most important factors for a leather quality inspection is its surface condition. So far a leather quality level has been discriminated by human's eye inspection, But, these kinds of method needs a lot of labor time and cause decision mistakes from an optical illusion. It means leather quality inspection is very subjective and there is no consistency. In this study, we present computer vision based a leather quality inspection system using an Artificial intelligence. Suggested system ran give standard spec for a leather quality and take human inspection duty place.

  • In this research, we describe a force feedback control for industrial robots has been proposed as a system which is suitable to work utilizing pressure sensitive alternative to human. Conventionally, polished surface of the workpiece are recognized, chamfer ridge, machining processes such as deburring, and it is most difficult to automate because of its complexity, has been largely dependent on the human. To aim to build automatic vacuum system robotic force control was gripping the grinding tool, the present study we examined the adaptability to the polishing process to understand the characteristics of the control system feedback signal obtained from the force sensor mainly. Furthermore, as a field, which holds the key to the commercialization, I went ahead with the application to robotic sweeping machine. As a result, the final sweeping utilizing a robot machine to obtain a very good grinded surface was revealed.

  • In this study, most of famous algorithms for the corner problem are listed. By comparing these with implemented codes and theoretical dissections, new algorithms are developed. These algorithms are combined by the existing auxiliary equations. All relating algorithms are numerically tested with 3 problems. Two problems have well-known analytical solutions and the result of another example is compared with the one of the published paper. The conducted research reveals the characteristics of existing algorithms and demonstrates newly developed algorithms can produce a reasonable solution by reflecting various type of boundary conditions.

  • Strengthening the regulation standard of biological nutrient in wastewater treatment plant(WWTP), the necessity of repair of WWTP which is operated in conventional activated sludge process to advanced nutrient removal treatment is increased. However, in full-scale wastewater treatment system, it is not easy to fine the optimized operational condition of the advanced nutrient removal treatment through experiment due to the complex response of various influent conditions and operational conditions. Therefore, in this study, an upgrading design of conventional activated sludge process to advanced nutrient removal process using the modeling and simulation method based on activated sludge model(ASMs) is executed. And a design optimization of advanced treatment process using the response surface method(RSM) is carried out for statistical and systematic approach. In addition, for the operational optimization of full-scale WWTP, a correct analysis about kinetic variables of wastewater treatment is necessary. In this study, through partial least square(PLS) analysis which is one of the multivariable statistical analysis methods, a correlation between the kinetic variables of wastewater treatment system is comprehended, and the most effective variables to the advanced treatment operation result is deducted. Through this study, the methodology for upgrading design and operational optimization of advanced treatment process is provided, and an efficient repair of WWTP to advanced treatment can be expected reducing the design time and costs.
