Changes in global climate zone based on SSP scenario (SSP 시나리오 기반 전 지구 규모의 기후대 변화)

  • 인간 활동에 의해 발생한 전 지구적 기후변화는 다양한 분야에 영향을 미치고 있다. 특히, 군락을 기반으로 서식하는 동식물은 기후변화에 가장 취약하며, 대부분의 군락 위치가 북상하거나 멸종 위기에 처해있다. 2022년에 발표된 IPCC(Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) 보고서는 섭씨 5도 이상 상승하면 생물군의 60%가 멸종될 것이라고 보고하였으며, 고위도와 고도로 이동하여 봄철 식물 성장이 과거보다 더욱 가속화 될 것으로 예측하였다. 따라서, 온실가스 농도에 따른 전 지구적 기후변화 분석은 다양한 분야에서 지속가능한 완화 및 적응 정책을 결정하는데 필요하다. 본 연구는 SSP2-4.5와 SSP5-8.5를 이용하여 Koppen-Geiger의 기후대 분류에 따른 전 지구 규모(아시아, 유럽, 남아메리카, 북아메리카, 오세아니아, 아프리카)의 과거 및 미래 기후대에 대한 변화를 분석하였다. 과거 기간의 기후대를 추정하기 위해 25개 CMIP6(Coupled Model Intercomparison Project 6) GCM(General circulation model)의 월 단위 강수량과 표면 온도를 사용하였으며 6개의 기간으로 구분하여 기후대 변화를 비교하였다. 더 나아가, 미래 기후대를 예측하기 위해 SSP(Shared Socioeconomic Pathways)2-4.5와 SSP5-8.5의 미래 기후변수를 사용하였으며, 전망 기간을 7개로 구분하여 전망 기간의 기후대를 변화를 비교하였다. 본 연구의 결과로는 온실가스 농도가 높은 시나리오에서는 북아메리카, 아시아, 유럽의 툰드라와 영구동토층이 가파르게 감소하였으며, 온대 기후 중 습한 아열대 기후대의 면적이 급속도로 증가하였다. 더 나아가, 남아메리카의 경우 대륙성 기후대가 지속적으로 감소하는 반면에 열대 우림 기후대는 증가한다. 오세아니아의 미래 기후대는 몬순의 영향을 받는 아열대 기후대가 증가하고 열대 우림은 증가할 것으로 예측하였다.

Effects of Developed Grape Bag on the Physiological Disorders, Pathogenic Decay and Fruit Quality in 'Campbell Early' Grapevines (개발된 포도 봉지 괘대가 '캠벨얼리' 과실의 생리장해와 병 발생 및 품질에 미치는 영향)

  • The effects of developed grape bags on the micro-climate changes of bag, physiological disorder, pathogenic decay, quality and harvest time evaluation in 'Campbell Early' grapevines were studied. The temperature and light transmittance of developed grape bags showed no differences compared with the onces of conventional bag and non-bagging, but relative humidity and the amount of water evaporation were changed in all treatments. The occurrence of unfertilized fruit, poorly colored fruit, russet and gray mold rot showed no significant difference in all treatment at harvest time. Developed grape bags decreased effectively the occurrence of cracking fruit and bitter rot in 'Campbell Early' fruit. There was no difference in growth of cluster and berry, soluble solids and total acidity in fruits, degree of skin color and bloom appearance at harvest time. The skin color and fruit boom and harvest time evaluation in developed grape bags were resulted excellent compared with the once of conventional bag and non bagging.

Study on Physical Change in the Earthen Finish Layer of Tomb Murals Due to Drying (건조에 따른 고분벽화 토양 마감층의 물리적 변화)

  • Mural paintings drawn inside ancient tombs are very sensitive to changes in the environment such as temperature and humidity, especially the finish layer of the tomb murals differ in preservability depending on the material properties and humidity conditions. In this study, I examined the mural painting of Songsan-ri Tomb No.6, where the finish layer was made of earth, and identified the physical changes that can occur due to drying, depending on the material properties of the finish layer. I found out through particle size analysis that the finish layer of the mural painting in Songsan-ri Tomb No.6 is about 85.0wt% below silt, about 14.0wt% clay therein, mostly composed of silt and below clay. I also found out through physical property evaluation that surface change rate of samples showed the largest change at 15.5% in reproduced finish layer sample made up of bentonite, followed by 7.8% of reproduced finish layer sample made up of celadon soil, 6.3% of reproduced finish layer sample made up of loess, 6.2% of reproduced finish layer sample composed of white clay and the same order of change in appearance was confirmed in each sample consisted of soil. In addition, it showed the same trend of surface change rate, and the bentonite condition showed the largest change, in the measurement of shrinkage rate and expansion rate. The experiment shows that the finish layer composed of soil is affected by cohesion among particles according to the content of fine parts and the relationship between the agglomeration due to the content of the differentiated part and the stress due to the expansibility depending on the kind of the clay mineral etc. Therefore, it can be concluded that the physical damage occurred in the mural painting finish layer of the Songsan-ri Tomb No.6 is related to the factors such as the material characteristics of the soil and the highly humid environmental change inside the tomb.

How Skin Care Ingredient Concentrations Can Modulate the Effect of polyols and Oils on Skin Moisturization and Skin Surface Roughness (화장품 원료 중 폴리올, 오일 농도에 따른 피부 보습과 피부 표면 거칠기의 변화)

  • The aim of this study was to evaluate the influence of different skin care ingredient concentrations on the effect of polyols and oils on the human skin moisturization and skin surface roughness. Polyols and oils were essential ingredients to make a skin care formulation. But these were still not understood how much concentration(s) were tested on human skin in the aspect of efficacy and sensory. We studied to examine various concentrations of ingredient by cosmetic companies using noninvasive methods. Polyols were composed of glycerol and butylene glycol (BG) as 1:1 ratio, and oils were hydrogenated polydecene, cetyl ethylhexanoate and pentaerythrityl tetraethylhexanoate (PTO(R), Stearinerie Dubois Fils Co., France) as 1:1:1 ratio. All compounds were tested $0{\sim}27%dml$ Polyols and $0{\sim}35%dml$ oils in O/W emulsions. We investigated the effect of water contents and the effect of stratum corneum roughness in forearm skin after application of compounds. Water contents of the skin measured by skin capacitance and skin surface roughness measured visual scoring of skin surface biopsy through the scanning electron microscopy. Water contents of the skin were highly related to amount of polyols (to 20%) and oils (to 12%). Correlation coefficients were 0.971 and 0.985 respectively (p<0.01), 2 h after application. Skin surface roughness was positively correlated with polyol contents in concentration dependent manner, and depend on oils up to 6%. The ratio of coefficient was 2.5 to 1 (polyol to oils) by regression analysis. Further studies will be conducted with other ingredients such as surfactants, lipids and aqueous materials, and with ether methods for noninvasive measurement.

Mild Heat Treatments for Quality Improvement of Fresh-cut Potatoes (열처리가 신선편이 감자 가공품의 품질에 미치는 영향)

  • Effect of pre- and post-mild heat treatment on quality of fresh-cut potatoes was investigated with the focus on surface color, firmness, phenolics, vitamin C and sensory characteristics. As the pre-heat treatment before cutting of potatoes, dried hot air (DH) and hot water (WH) treatment were conducted at $45^{\circ}C$ for 60 min, respectively. As a post-heat (CH) treatments, potato cubes were dipped into water of $55^{\circ}C$ for 45 seconds after cutting. The potato cubes were packed in 15 cm x 20 cm LDPE pouches $30^{\mu}m$ thick and then stored at $5{\pm}1^{\circ}C$. The respiration rate of fresh-cut potatoes was decreased by mild heat treatment Especially, the rate of cubes treated with DH was decreased by $20\%$ compared to that of the non-heat treated. L value of cubes treated with DH showed higher value than that of others. Firmness and free phenolics had no significant difference between the treatments. The fresh-cut potatoes prepared with non-heat treatment showed higher vitamin C content than that of the heat treated. In sensory visual color, CH treated cubes marked the best quality. Conclusively, mild heat treatment, especially CH treatment, showed positive effect on browning inhibition and quality enhancement of fresh-cut potatoes.

Variation of Vapor Pressure Deficit and Condensation Flux of Air Heating Plastic Greenhouse Installed with Two Layers Thermal Curtain in Winter (이층커튼 온풍난방 플라스틱온실의 겨울철 포차 및 결로량 변화)

  • This study was conducted to provide data necessary for reducing the condensation on greenhouse covering in winter season. The variation of VPD (Vapor Pressure Deficit) and condensation flux was analyzed in experimental tomato greenhouse. VPD values in experimental plastic greenhouse were greater than 0.2 kPa of disease prevention threshold, and lower than 0.5 kPa of threshold for dehumidification. The surface temperature of inside covering was slightly higher than the average temperature of outside and above curtain, and changed according to outside temperature. The humidity above curtain was nearly 100% and good condition for condensation. The humidity below curtain was 75~90% and comparatively stable condition for growing. The condensation flux value in experimental greenhouse corresponded with result of Seginer and Kantz (1986).

Folate Contents of Oriental Melon (Cucumis melo) Cultivated in Greenhouse Covered with Different Films and Varieties (시설 피복자재와 품종에 따른 참외 엽산 함량)

  • Light transmittance of PO-2 film was 71.2% higher than any other films, because of low amount of pending water and attaching dust on film surface. On dawn, the air temperature of tunnel were higher than that of outdoors as much as between 11.8 and $14.5^{\circ}C$ on Feb. 19 to 20, 2007. The air temperature in the greenhouse covered with PO-2 film was higher than any other films as much as $2.3^{\circ}C$. Analyzing of folate in oriental melon, the folate contents of fruit were between 68.9 and $113.4\;{\mu}g/100\;g$ according to varieties. In winter, the folate contents in the treatment of PO-2 film was higher than that in the treatment of PE film as much as 17%. Above $15^{\circ}C$ in outdoors mean air temperature, the folate contents were as much as between 55.2 and $75.2\;{\mu}g/100\;g$. The folate contents in the treatment of PO-2 film was higher than that in the treatment of PE film as much as 36%.

Determination of NPK Concentration in Fertigation Solution for Production of Greenhouse Oriental Melon (Cucumis melo L.) Using Response Surface Methodology (반응표면분석에 의한 참외 관비액 농도결정)

  • Fertigation with drip irrigation provides effective and cost-efficient way to supply both nutrient and water to crop. However, inappropriate management of fertigation systems may cause inefficient nutrient and water use, thereby diminishing expected yield benefits as well as contributing to deterioration of soil properties. In this study, greenhouse experiments were conducted to investigate the optimal concentration of N, P and K fertigation solution for maximum production of oriental melon (Cucumis melo L.) using a response surface methodology, to evaluate an efficiency of nutrients uptake and an effect on soil chemical properties. Canonical analysis of response surface and contour plot interpretation revealed that $108.3mg\;L^{-1}$ of nitrogen (N), $54.8mg\;L^{-1}$ of phosphorous (P) and $158.3mg\;L^{-1}$ of potassium (K) resulted in maximim yield of oriental melon ($2,966kg\;10a^{-1}$). Compared to conventional practice, fertigation increased fruit yield up to 23.0% (p<0.001), uptake of N and K by plant also up to 33.3% (p<0.001) and 15.7% (p<0.01), respectively. These results suggest that fertigation has the advantage of the increase in yield and fertilizer use efficiency.

반도체 검출기의 절연 최적화를 위한 다층 절연막 평가

  • 반도체 검출기는 입사되는 X선 에너지에 의하여 이온화되어 발생하는 전자 전공쌍을 수집함으로 방사선 정보를 확인하는 선량계로써 많은 연구와 활용이 이루어지고 있다. 하지만, X선 에너지에 의하여 반도체 검출기에서 발생하는 전기적 신호량이 높지 않기 때문에 누설 전류의 저감이 필수적이다. 누설 전류를 저감시키기 위한 방안으로 반도체 층과 전극 층의 Schottky Contact 구조의 설계, Insulating Layer의 사용, 높은 비저항의 반도체 물질 연구 등이 이루어지고 있다. 하지만, 기존에 누설 전류 저감을 위하여 Insulating Layer를 전극층과 반도체 층 사이에 형성하는 연구에 있어서 Insulating Layer와 반도체 층의 계면 사이에서 발생하는 Charge Trapping으로 인하여 생성되는 신호의 Reproducibility 저하, 동영상 적용의 제한 등의 문제점을 겪어왔다. 이에 본 논문에서는 누설 전류를 저감시킴과 동시에 Charge Trapping의 최소화를 이루기 위하여 Insulating Layer의 두께 최적화 연구를 수행하였다. 본 연구에서 사용한 Insulating Layer는 검출기 표면에 입사하는 X선 정보 손실을 최소화 시키는 동시에 누설 전류와 Charge Trapping을 최소화 시키는 방법으로써 CVD방법으로 검출기 표면에 균일하게 Insulating Layer를 코팅하였다. Insulating 물질은 Parylene을 사용하였으며, 그 중 온도, 습도 등 외부환경에 영향을 적게 받는 type C를 사용하였다. 증착에 사용한 장비의 진공도는 Torr로 설정하여 증착되는 Parylene의 두께가 약 $0.3{\mu}m$가 되게 하였으며, 실험에는 반도체 물질 PbO를 사용하였다. Parylene의 절연 특성은 Dark Current와 Sensitivity를 측정한 SNR을 이용하여 Parylene코팅이 되지 않은 동일 반도체 검출기와의 신호를 비교하였으며 또한 Parylene를 다층 제작한 검출기의 수집 신호량을 비교하였다. 제작한 검출기의 X선 조사 시의 수집 전하량 측정 결과, 100 kVp, 100mA, 0.03s의 X선 조건에서 $1V/{\mu}m$의 기준 시, Parylene를 코팅하지 않은 PbO 검출기의 Dark current는 0.0501 nA/cm2, Sensitivity는 0.6422 nC/mR-cm2, SNR은 12.184이었으며, Parylene단층의 두께인 $0.3{\mu}m$로 증착된 시편의 Dark current는 0.04097 nA/cm2, Sensitivity는 0.53732 nC/mR-cm2으로 Dark current가 감소되고 sensitivity도 감소하였지만 SNR은 13.1150으로 높아진 것을 확인할 수 있었다. Perylene이 $0.6{\mu}m$로 증착된 시편의 경우, Dark Current는 0.04064 nA/cm2, Sensitivity는 0.31473 nC/mR-cm2, SNR은 7.7443으로써 Insulating Layer가 없는 시편보다 SNR이 약 40% 낮아진 것을 확인할 수 있었다. Parylene이 $0.9{\mu}m$로 증착된 시편의 경우 Dark current는 0.0378 nA/cm2, Sensitivity 0.0461 nC/mR-cm2로 Insulating Layer가 없는 시편에 비해 SNR은 약 1/12배 감소한 1.2196이었고, Parylene이 $1.2{\mu}m$로 증착된 시편의 SNR은 1.1252로서 더 감소하였다. 따라서 Parylene을 다층 코팅한 검출기일수록 절연 효과의 영향이 커짐으로써 SNR 비교 시 수집되는 신호량이 줄어드는 것을 확인하였다. 반도체 검출기의 누설 전류를 저감시킴과 동시에 신호 수집율에 영향을 최소화시키기 위하여 Insulating Layer의 두께를 적절하게 설정하여 적용하면 Insulating Layer가 없는 검출기에 비해 누설전류를 최소한으로 줄일 수 있고 신호 검출효율이 감소하는 것을 방지할 수 있을 것이라 사료된다.

The Characteristic Study of the Microbial Habitat in the Muwisa Museum, Gangjin (강진 무위사 성보박물관 전시실의 미생물 서식환경 특성 연구)

  • The exhibition hall of museum has been damaged by abundant dust and mold of the air in the room. Occurrence of microorganisms on the surface of the cultural heritage will cause damages such as coloration, materials degradation, deterioration, etc. In this study, we investigated the temperature/humidity and microbes distribution in exhibition hall, display showcase, and on surface of wall paintings in the Muwisa museum. From some samples collected in exhibition hall and display showcase, we identified so many varieties of micro-organisms such as Aspergillus sp., Penicillium sp., Cladosporium sp.. In particular, we could see a large number of microorganisms in the number 1, 2 exhibition hall compared with the number 3 exhibition hall. The results examining the distribution of the temperature and humidity were showed as $28{\pm}4^{\circ}C$ and 70~80%, respectively. The number 1 exhibition showcase was higher humidity environment than the number 2, 3 exhibition hall compared to the distribution ratio, which considered as correlation with the distribution of microorganism concentration. As these results, we understood that high temperature and humidity in the exhibition hall and display showcase of the Muwisa museum were characteristics caused by environmental management and hermetically-sealed rooms.
