Cracking Behavior of Concrete Box Culvert for Power Transmission Due to Drying Shrinkage (전력구 콘크리트 구조물의 건조수축 균열특성에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to predict the cracking behavior and suggest the method of controlling the cracking in concrete box culvert for power transmission due to differential drying shrinkage. Drying shrinkage cracking is mainly influenced by the moisture diffusion coefficient that determines moisture diffusion rate inside concrete structures. In addition to the diffusion coefficient, surface coefficient of concrete surface and relative humidity of ambient air simultaneously affect the moisture evaporation from concrete inside to external air outside. Within the framework of drying shrinkage cracking mechanism, it is necessary to perform the numerical analysis, which involves these three influencing factors to predict and control the shrinkage cracking of concrete. In this study, moisture diffusion and stress analysis cor responding to drying shrinkage on concrete box culvert are performed with consideration of diffusion coefficient, surface coefficient, and relative humidity of ambient air. From the numerical results, it is found that cracking behavior due to differential drying shrinkage of box culvert shows the different feature according to three influencing factors and the methodology of controlling of drying shrinkage cracks can be suggested from this study.

  • The purpose of this study is to provide the efficient method and guideline of controlling the cracking in bridge deck concrete due to differential drying shrinkage. Drying shrinkage cracking is mainly influenced by the moisture diffusion coefficient that determines moisture diffusion rate inside concrete structures. In addition to the diffusion coefficient, surface coefficient of concrete surface and relative humidity of ambient air simultaneously affect the moisture evaporation from concrete inside to external air outside.   • 복합 싸이클 시험 모니터링을 통해 NaCl, $CaCl_2$ 제설염 환경에서 11 % Cr, 17 % Cr 페라이트 스테인리스강의 외면부식특성을 조사하고자 하였다. 용액 내 NaCl 및 $CaCl_2$의 농도가 증가함에 따라 용액의 pH가 떨어졌으며, $CaCl_2$의 농도증가에 따른 산성화도가 NaCl에 비해 크게 나타났다. 염수분무-건조-습윤 과정의 반복으로 구성되어 있는 복합싸이클 시험 중 소재의 표면상태 변화를 모니터링 한 결과, 건조 과정 중에 공식이 시작되며, NaCl 환경의 경우엔 습윤과정 중에 $CaCl_2$ 환경의 경우엔 건조 중에 공식성장이 주로 이루어지는 것으로 확인되었다.

Drying Characteristics of Filefish Fillet (말쥐치육(肉)의 건조특성(乾燥特性))

  • Constant rate period, falling rate period and diffusion coefficient using filefish fillet as sample during drying in hot air drier were determined under controlled conditions of temperature, humidity and air velocity. Drying rate curve consisted of a short period of constant rate and two stages of falling rate period. When 1 to 3m/see of air velocities were applied, diffusion coefficients were in the range of 1.9130 to $2.6187\;{\times}\;10^{-6}\;\textrm{cm}^2/sec$ at $50^{\circ}C$. 2.4806 to $3.5342\;{\times}\;10^{-6}\;\textrm{cm}^2/sec$ at $60^{\circ}C$ and 4.3405 to $5.3042\;{\times}\;10^{-6}\;\textrm{cm}^2/sec$ at $70^{\circ}C$, respectively. Available lysine content was decreased by 15%. 16% and 20% in the fillet dried at $50^{\circ}C$, $60^{\circ}C$ and $70^{\circ}C$, respectively.

  • Experiment were conducted to find out the effective drying method of citrus peel produced in Korea by varying the temperature of hot air, surface area of peels, peels from several citrus varieties and physicochemical treatment of the peel. 1. About $3{\sim}6\;days$ were required to reduce the moisture level of the peel from 70%(wet basis) to 20% at room temperature without forced convection. 2. Drying was speeded up until the temperature of hot air reached $60^{\circ}C$. Beyond that no significant increase in drying rate was observed. About 50 minutes were needed to reduce the moisture level (dry basis) to below 10% at $60^{\circ}C$ by forced convection 3. When the peel surface area was increased twice by cutting the peel into 256 fractions, the overall drying time (the time required to reduce the moisture level to 10%, dry basis) was shortened to 15 minutes from 50 mintes of the original peel. 4. No significant difference in drying rate was observed among the peels from several citrus varieties except Shaddock jabon and Citrus ponki tanaka, which dried more slowly than others. 5. Treatment of $Ca(OH)_2$ and the pressing of the peel before drying were effective in drying only when the initial moisture content was substantially higher.

The Comparison of Stiction Results of Anti-Stiction Methods for Polysilicon Surface Micromachining (다결정실리콘 표면 미세가공 기술을 위한 점착 방지법들의 성능 비교)

  • This paper presents comparative results of various commonly used anti-stiction methods for polysilicon surface micromachining using identical test structures. Four different types of cantilevers - single cantilevers, cantilevers with dimples, cantilevers with anti-stiction tip, cantilevers with plate - with different widths and lengths were employed as test structures. The detachment length of cantilevers was examined depending on the anti-stiction methods and test structure types. After sacrificial layer was removed, evaporation and sublimation drying methods were used in the drying step when takes place the stiction between structure and substrate. Various final rinsing liquids such as methanol, IPA, and DI water were employed to compare anti-stiction results depending on surface tension and rinsing temperature. For sublimation drying method, methanol was used as an intermediate rinsing liquid. Also, the influence of a stress gradient of the polysilicon was investigated by performing the identical anti-stiction experiments on identical test structures with a stress gradient. In conclusion, sublimation drying method showed superior results to various evaporation drying methods and hence it is considered the best method for releasing polysilicon microstructure in polysilicon surface micromachining.

  • 최근 국민 소득향상과 더불어, 여가시간 증가에 따라 해양레저에 대한 관심이 크게 높아지고 있으며, 그에 따라 레저용 선박 수요도 증가하고 있다. 기존 국내 소형 선박의 경우 FRP(fiber-reinforced plastic)재료로 선박을 건조해 왔다. 그러나 해양환경 규제 강화로 FRP 선박의 건조가 감소하고 있으며, 친환경 선박에 대한 필요성이 대두되고 있다. 따라서 FRP재료를 대체하는 선박용 재료로 친환경적이고 가벼운 소재인 알루미늄 합금 재료가 선박건조 분야에서 각광을 받고 있다. 특히 5000계열 Al-Mg 합금은 가공성과 용접성이 우수하여 주로 구조용으로 많이 사용되고 있으나 경량화에 따른 빠른 선속이 유체충격을 증가시켜 선체에 캐비테이션 손상을 일으킬 수 있다. Al-Mg 합금의 경우에 부식성이 대단히 큰 해양환경에서 부식과 캐비테이션 침식이 복합적으로 일어나면 손상이 빠르게 증가되는 경향을 나타내어 선박의 수명을 현저히 단축시켜 경제적인 손실을 초래한다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 해수 내에서 Al-Mg 합금의 캐비테이션 저항성을 향상시키기 위해 알루미늄 합금 표면에 내식성 뿐만 아니라 경도 및 내마모성 등의 기계적 특성이 우수한 산화피막을 형성시키는 양극산화 기술을 적용하고, 다양한 봉공처리(sealing)방법에 따른 캐비테이션 특성을 평가하였다. 캐비테이션 실험은 압전(piezoelectric) 효과를 이용한 진동발생 장치를 사용하여 $30{\mu}m$ 진폭으로 일정하게 유지하였으며, 시편과 혼 팁 사이의 간격은 1mm로 하였다. 캐비테이션 실험 후에는 시편을 초음파 세척하여 진공 건조기에서 24시간 이상 건조한 후 정밀저울로 무게를 측정하였으며, 표면 손상 형상을 분석하기 위해 주사전자현미경(SEM)과 3D현미경을 이용하여 관찰하였다.

  • This paper describes a charge sharing capacitive-sensing circuit technique that improves the quality of images captured with fingerprint sensor LSIs. When the finger is dry, the electrical resistance of a finger surface is high. It leads to poor image quality. To capture clear images even when the finger is dry, the modified capacitive detection circuit improves the image quality using an enhancement plate at the finger surface and a voltage control circuit. The test circuit is analyzed on $0.35{\mu}m$ CMOS process.

  • During hot air drying of root vegetables such as radish and sweet potatoes, shrinkage and casehardening occurred, and thereby the quality change appeared. Therfore the hot air drying apparatus in which air temperature, relative humidity and air velocity could be controlled was designed, and the drying and shrinking characteristics of radish and sweet potatoes were studied. Also the external factors that affected these characteristics were investigated. The whole drying process of radish and sweet potatoes could be divided into four different drying rate periods, namely constant rate period, first falling rate period, second falling rate period (a) and (b). The shrinking rate curve consisted of four periods nearly corresponding to drying rate periods. The shrinking rate slowly increased in the constant rate period, rapidly increased in the first falling rate period, and reached the highest value in the early period of the second falling rate period. The surface shrinkage was greatly affected by the thickness of sample, relative humidity and initial moisture content. The shrinking ratio was increased with decreasing thickness and increasing relative humidity and initial moisture content.

  • Al-Mg 합금은 비중이 적고 강도가 우수하기 때문에 해양 환경에서 구조용 재료로 많이 사용되고 있으며, 특히 선박용 재료로 사용될 경우 선체의 중량을 줄일 수 있어 연료비가 절감되며 선속의 고속화가 가능하다. 그러나 해양환경에서의 재료 특성에 관한 지식 및 관련 기술 부족으로 알루미늄 선박 건조는 활성화 되지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 알루미늄 합금은 공기 중에서는 우수한 내식성을 지니는 것으로 알려져 있으나 해수환경에서는 염소이온에 의한 부동태 피막 파괴로 인해 내식성이 저하되며 공식 및 응력부식균열 등에 의한 손상이 발생할 수 있다. 특히 용접부의 경우, 모재에 비해 부식손상에 취약하며 기공과 같은 용접 결함을 포함하고 있어 구조물 파괴의 시발점이 될 수 있으므로 선박 및 구조물 건조시 대비가 필요하다. 그러나 이에 관한 충분한 연구가 이루어지지 않아 국내 중소형 조선소의 경우 알루미늄 선박 건조에 어려움을 겪는 경우가 많다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 선박 건조 및 해양 구조물에 널리 사용되는 Al 5083-H321 합금 용접부에 대하여 해수 내 부식 특성을 연구하고자 한다. 부식특성 파악을 위한 전기화학적 실험에 앞서 화학적 에칭을 통해 미세부위별 실험을 수행하였다. 기준전극은 은/염화은 전극을 대극은 백금전극을 사용하였으며, 타펠 분석을 위한 분극실험은 OCP를 기준으로 -0.25 ~ +0.25 V까지 실시하였고 양극분극실험은 OCP ~ +3.0 V까지 실시하였다. 양극분극 실험 후 부식된 표면은 주사전자현미경과 3D 분석을 통해 용접부 조직에 따른 전기화학적 특성을 관찰하였다.
