Elasticity Modulus Change Research of Polymer Ultraviolet Dosage by using ESPI (ESPI를 이용한 자외선조사량에 따른 폴리머애자의 탄성계수 변화 연구)

  • Recently, environment problems have effects on the electronic equipments. Security problems are presented. For security reasons, it is necessary to study electronic equipments. In this paper, we handle the Elasticity modulus on the polymer insulator by UV irradiation. The types of material are used in this experiment, is the EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer). For increasing the reliability, real material specimens are used. For this study, we used ESPI (Electronic speckle pattern interferometry), UTM (Universal thesting machine) device, Accelerated weathering tester. Through this measurement, we evaluated how much UV irradiation has effect on polymer insulator and how long does it take to change the polymer insulator. Also this paper will give a help in electronic industry and the method of measuring the insulator elasticity modulus of polymer could be utilized in life estimation and replacement time of the products of electronic equipment that is used in real industrial fields.

  • 국내 가공배전 선로는 절연전선을 사용하고 있으며, 절연을 위해 세라믹 재질과 폴리머 재질의 지지애가가 사용되고 있다. 지지 애자 위의 전선은 진동에 따라 종방향 및 횡방향의 기계적 마찰력을 받고 있으며, 전기적으로 누설전류 및 서지의 영향을 받아 절연피복이 손상된다. 본 연구에서는 지지애자를 통해 흐르는 누설전류에 의해 전선이 손상되는 메커니즘을 규명하여 고장을 예방하고자 하였다. 절연전선은 손상된 부위에서 전류가 집중되어 내부 도체가 용융 단선되었다. 전선단선에 영향을 주는 열화 인자로서 지지애자의 표면 열화상태, 절연전선 피복 손상, 바인드선의 종류 등이 복합적으로 작용하였다.

  • This paper describes Thermal-Mechanical performance and Ultimate Mechanical-Strength test for the purpose of aging analysis of suspension insulator. The temperature difference of insulator surface according to the aging of suspension insulator brought out about $2^{\circ}C$ to $7-8^{\circ}C$ difference comparing with the atmospheric temperature. Quality standard and Mechanical-Strength of used suspension insulator deteriorate more remarkably than that of new suspension insulator. It is required that Thermal-Mechanical performance test standard be revised in the future. And it is described about the development prospect of polymer insulators

  • We present the method to obtain four speckle patterns with relative phase shift of $\pi/2$ by passive devices such as wave plate and polarizer, and calculate the phase at each point of the speckle pattern in shearographic system using Wollaston in And, to demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed system, we present the experimental results using polymer insulator.

  • In this paper, it's described the UV detected images on polymer insulators using UV camera. The patterns of UV detected images are classified into 3 types such as jellyfish(J), amoeba(A), sunflower(S). J type is detected by high electric field in air A type is detected by early surface discharge. And, S type is detected by the serious problem in surface of insulator.

  • Fiber Reinforced Plastic (FRP) insulators for direct current (DC) were developed and their electrical characteristics were investigated. Electrical tests were carried out to measure withstanding and flashover voltages under common use frequency condition. Tensile and bending tests were performed for the mechanical characteristics. The test results showed that DC FRP insulators had superior voltage resistances and strengths to porcelain insulators.

  • EPDM/silicone blend was prepared with polyorganosiloxane compatibilizer for out-door polymer insulation used to shed. Each blend had various weight ratios, 100/0, 90/10, 70/30, 50/50, 30/70, 10/90, and 0/100 as EPDM to silicone, and electrical and tracking characteristics were studied with the method of IEC 60587. And also, tracking properties and contact angle related to UV-weathering period were studied to understand the degree of degradation of blend after 1000 h UV-weathering.
