Engineering Characteristics of Cement Milk for Bored Piles (매입말뚝공법의 충전재료로 사용되는 시멘트밀크의 공학적 특성)

  • In this study, engineering property tests were conducted for cement milk used as a filling materials in the bored piles method. For this purpose, various water/cement ratio specimens were produced on the basis of standard specimen specified in highway corporation specifications. The unconfined compressive strength, point load strength, elasticity modulus, poisson's ratio test was performed according to the age. As a test result, injection height for productions of cement milk specimens was defined ratios. Correlation coefficient K of the unconfined compressive strength and point load strength were $K_7=4.55{\sim}13.65$ in age 7 days, and $K_{28}=5.28{\sim}16.84$ in age 28 days. When water / cement ratio is 65-150%, the elastic modulus and Poisson's ratio significantly increased and decreased regardless of age. In addition, the formulae were proposed for unconfined compressive strength, point load strength, a correlation coefficient of unconfined compressive strength, point load strength, elastic modulus, and poisson's ratio for each age.

  • The purpose of this paper is to present reliability analysis procedures for repairable systems and apply the procedures for assessing the reliabilities of two subsystems of a specific group of military equipment based on field failure data. The mean cumulative function, M(t), the average repair rate, ARR(t), and analytic test methods are used to determine whether a failure process follows a renewal or non-renewal process. For subsystem A, the failure process turns out to follow a homogeneous Poisson process, and subsequently, its mean time between failures, availability, and the necessary number of spares are estimated. For subsystem B, the corresponding M(t) plot shows an increasing trend, indicating that its failure process follows a non-renewal process. Therefore, its M(t) is modeled as a power function of t, and a preventive maintenance policy is proposed based on the annual mean repair cost.

  • 본 연구에서는 소프트웨어 제품을 개발하여 테스팅을 거친 후 사용자에게 인도하는 시기를 결정하는 방출문제에 대하여 연구되었다. 인도시기에 관한 모형은 무한 고장 수에 의존하는 비동질적인 포아송 과정을 적용하였다. 이러한 포아송 과정은 소프트웨어의 결함을 제거하거나 수정 작업 중에도 새로운 결함이 발생될 가능성을 반영하는 모형이다. 적용모형은 여러 수명 분포들을 적합시키는데 효율적인 특성을 가진 콤페르쯔, 파레토, 로그-로지스틱 모형과 같은 로그형 특성분포를 이용하였다. 따라서 소프트웨어 요구 신뢰도를 만족시키고 소프트웨어 개발 및 유지 총비용을 최소화 시키는 방출시간이 최적 소프트웨어 방출 정책이 된다. 본 논문의 수치적인 예에서는 고장 간격 시간 자료를 적용하고 모수추정 방법은 최우추정법을 이용하여 최적 방출시기를 추정하였다.

  • 양적 확률응답을 이용한 민감사안에 대한 평균이나 분석의 추정시 보조정보를 활용한 회귀추정법에 대해서 언급하고, 유도된 회귀추정량과 Greenberg et al.의 추정량 그리고 비추정량과의 비교의 통하여 회귀추정량이 효율적일 수 있는 조건을 찾았다. 또한 각 질문에 대한 응답의 분포가 포아송 분포인 경우 회귀추정량의 효율이 증대될 수 있는 조건에 대해서도 논하였다.

Effects of the Thermal Cracking on the Deformation Behaviour of Granites (열균열이 화강암의 변형거동에 미치는 영향)

  • Pocheon, Keochang and Sangju granite samples of different granularity and mineralogical composition were thermally treated at pre-determined temperature of $600^{\circ}C$. Thermally-induced microcracks were characterized using an optical microscopy and their effects on the deformation behavior of thermally cycled samples were studied performing compressive mechanical tests. Optical observations shows that by $600^{\circ}C$ nearlly all crystal boundaries open and the new intracrystalline cracks form in the more grains. The intracrystalline cracks are most pronounced at thermally treated Pocheon and Keochang granite samples. Results from mechanical tests represents negative lateral strains, which give negative Poisson's ratios. It is the most probable that negative lateral strains are produced by residual stresses induced during cooling.

Analytical Study on Characteristics of von Mises Yield Criterion under Plane Strain Condition (평면변형률상태에서의 von Mises 항복기준의 특성에 관한 이론적 연구)

  • In order to investigate characteristics of the von Mises yield criterion under 2 dimensional stress condition, two cases of plane strain were studied. One of which was for zero elastic strain and the other was for zero plastic strain increment. Yield functions for the plane strain condition for zero elastic strain and for the plane stress condition were represented as ellipse and the two yield functions were compared by ratios of major axis, minor axis and eccentricity and it was seen that the ratio of minor axis was the same between the two cases and the ratios of major axis and eccentricity were functions of Poisson's ratio. Region of elastic behavior obtained from considering plane strain condition of zero elastic strain increases as the Poisson's ratio increases. Yield function for plane strain obtained from considering zero plastic increment and associate flow rule was displayed as straight line and the region of elastic behavior was greater than that for the case of plane stress.

  • 충적지반에 건설된 원형 단면을 갖는 터널은 지진시에 지반의 전단 변형의 영향을 받아 좌우교차로 경사진 타원형상의 변형을 반복한다. 본 논문에서는 이 특별한 진동모드를 이용하여 지반-터널계의 상호작용 및 면진 효과가 검토되었다. 지반과 터널의 경계가 완전히 결합되어 있는 경우에 대한 지반 -터널계의 상호작용 효과 및 지하 구조물의 지진피해를 줄이는 한가지 방법으로써 터널 주위를 면진재로 피복하는 방법에 대한 면진효과가 토론되었다. 그 결과 면진재의 포아송비를 작게 하거나 지반과 면진재의 전단탄성계수의 비를 증가시킴으로서 면진 효가가 증가함을 알 수 있었다.

  • The purpose of this study is to estimate the economic value of the Kumjung Mountain, using a Individual Travel Cost Model(ITCM). This paper compares Poisson and negative binomial count data models to measure the tourism demands. Interviewers were instructed to interview only individuals. So the sample was taken in 700. A dependent variable that is defined on the non-negative integers and subject to sampling truncation is the result of a truncated count data process. The results suggest that the truncated negative binomial model is improved overdispersion problem and more preferred than the other models in the study. This study emphasizes in particular 'travel cost' that is not only monetary cost but also including opportunity cost of 'travel time'. According to the truncated negative binomial model, estimates the Consumer Surplus(CS) values per trip of about 60,669 Korean won and the total economic value was estimated to be 252,383 Korean won.

The Analysis of the Number of Donations Based on a Mixture of Poisson Regression Model (포아송 분포의 혼합모형을 이용한 기부 횟수 자료 분석)

  • The aim of this study is to analyse a survey data on the number of charitable donations using a mixture of two Poisson regression models. The survey was conducted in 2002 by Volunteer 21, an nonprofit organization, based on Koreans, who were older than 20. The mixture of two Poisson distributions is used to model the number of donations based on the empirical distribution of the data. The mixture of two Poisson distributions implies the whole population is subdivided into two groups, one with lesser number of donations and the other with larger number of donations. We fit the mixture of Poisson regression models on the number of donations to identify significant covariates. The expectation-maximization algorithm is employed to estimate the parameters. We computed 95% bootstrap confidence interval based on bias-corrected and accelerated method and used then for selecting significant explanatory variables. As a result, the income variable with four categories and the volunteering variable (1: experience of volunteering, 0: otherwise) turned out to be significant with the positive regression coefficients both in the lesser and the larger donation groups. However, the regression coefficients in the lesser donation group were larger than those in larger donation group.
