  • Corrected Akaike's information criterion (AICc) is known to have better finite sample properties. However, Akaike's information criterion (AIC) is still widely used to select an optimal prediction model among several candidate models due to of a lack of research on benefits obtained using AICc. In this paper, we compare the performance of AIC and AICc through numerical simulations and confirm the advantage of using AICc. In addition, we also consider the performance of quasi Akaike's information criterion (QAIC) and the corrected quasi Akaike's information criterion (QAICc) for binomial and Poisson data under overdispersion phenomenon.

  • Software quality evaluation system and software evaluation criterion have to be defined to evaluate software reliability. In this study, we develop software reliability quality metrics for evaluating of software reliability and research for testing of suitable criteria of software reliability. To accomplish a study successfully, we have to estimate the failure time of software using the number of software bugs. Software reliability is very important in software quality. We propose the estimation of software reliability. We propose the software reliability metrics and the software testing method that the basis of international standard ISO/IEC 9126 in software testing metrics.

  • This study proposes a method to measure software reliability according to software reliability measurement model to measure software reliability. The model presented in this study uses the distribution of Non - Homogeneous Poisson Process and presents a measure of the software reliability of the presented model. As a method to select a suitable software reliability growth model according to the presented model, we have studied a method of proposing an appropriate software reliability function by calculating the mean square error according to the estimated value of the reliability function according to the software failure data. In this study, we propose a reliability function to measure the software quality and suggest a method to select the software reliability function from the viewpoint of minimizing the error of the estimation value by applying the failure data.

  • NHPP software reliability models for failure analysis can have, in the literature, exhibit either constant, monotonic increasing or monotonic decreasing failure occurrence rates per fault. In this paper, infinite failures NHPP models that repairing software failure point in time reflects the situation, was presented for comparing property. Commonly used in the field of software reliability based on Flexible Weibull extension distribution software reliability of infinite failures was presented for comparison problem. The result is that a relatively small shaping parameter was effectively. The parameters estimation using maximum likelihood estimation was conducted and model selection was performed using the mean square error and the coefficient of determination.. In this research, software developers to identify software failure property follows shape parameter, some extent be able to help is considered.

  • Science and technology is developing rapidly as more powerful software with the rapid development of software testing and reliability assessment by the difficulty increases with the complexity of the software features of the larger increases NHPP software reliability models for failure analysis can have, in the literature, exhibit either constant, monotonic increasing or monotonic decreasing failure occurrence rates per fault. In this paper, finite failure NHPP models that assuming the expected value of the defect and infinite failures NHPP models that repairing software failure point in time reflects the situation, were presented for comparing property. Commonly used in the field of software reliability based on Erlang distribution software reliability model finite failures and infinite failures were presented for performance comparative evaluation problem. As a result, finite failure model is better than infinite failure model effectively. The parameters estimation using maximum likelihood estimation in the course of this study was conducted. As the results of this research, software developers to identify software failure property be able to help is concluded.

  • This study aims to analyze the predict capability of some of the popular software NHPP reliability models(Goel-Okumo model, delayed S-shaped reliability model and Rayleigh distribution model). The predict capability analysis will be on two key factors, one pertaining to the degree of fitment on available failure data and the other for its prediction capability. Estimation of parameters for each model was used maximum likelihood estimation using first 80% of the failure data. Comparison of predict capability of models selected by validating against the last 20% of the available failure data. Through this study, findings can be used as priori information for the administrator to analyze the failure of software.

  • Reliability of the estimation is usually damaged in the situation where a linear regression model without spatial dependencies is employed to the spatial data analysis. In this study, we considered the conditional autoregressive model in order to construct spatial association structures and estimate the parameters via the Bayesian approaches. Finally, we compared the performances of the models with spatial effects and the ones without spatial effects. We analyzed the yearly total crime count data measured from each of 25 districts in Seoul, South Korea in 2007.

  • Opportunistic incremental relaying (OIR) system effectively overcomes the degradations caused by the fading of the wireless channel, and efficiently utilizes the wireless resources. Most of the OIR studies, however, assume spatially fixed relays. The user terminals which are usually served as relays move continuously, the assumption that the relays are fixed is not realistic. In this paper, the location of the spatially random user terminals are modeled by the Poisson point process, and the performance of an OIR system is derived. We noticed that the performance of the OIR system improves with the spatially random relays as well as with the fixed relays. Also the intensity of the relays and the transmitting directions toward the destination affect the performances. The performances of the maximal ratio combining (MRC) and the selection combining (SC) at the destination are compared.
