Cycling Packet Dropping Mechanism for Assured Forwarding Packets in Internet (인터넷에서 Assured Forwarding 패킷을 위한 사이클링 패킷 폐기 메커니즘)

  • Cycling Packet Dropping mechanism we proposed in this paper adaptively drops packets, as predicting traffic pattern between each cycle. Therfore the proposed mechanism makes up for the drawback of RIO mechanism and minimizes errors being capable of predicting in Dynamic and Strict Packet Dropping mechanism. And we executed a simulation and analyzed the throughput and packet drop rate based on the Sending Drop Precedence changing dynamically depending on the network traffic. The results show that the proposed mechanism provides better performance on drop precedence levels and stricter drop precedence policy for AF class.

  • Adaptive and Strict Packet Dropping mechanism we proposed in this paper drops adaptively packets for the congestion control, as predicting traffic pattern between each cycle. Therefore the proposed mechanism makes up for the drawback of RIO mechanism and minimizes the wastes of the bandwidth being capable of predicting in Dynamic and Strict Packet Dropping (DSPD) mechanism. And we executed a simulation and analyzed the throughput and packet drop rate based on the Sending Drop Precedence changing dynamically depending on the network traffic and compared RIO and the DSPD. The results show that the proposed mechanism provides better performance on drop precedence levels and stricter drop precedence policy for AF class than RIO and the DSPD mechanism.

The Estimation of the Gross Capital Stock in Transport Sector of Korea (교통부문의 시설별 자본스톡 추정)

  • In this research, we estimated annual gross fixed capital stock of transport sector, such as road, railroad, airport and seaport during 1968-1997 in Korea. As basic analytic method, we used the polynomial benchmark method. The polynomial benchmark method requires capital stock estimates of at least two benchmark-years and is distinguished from other methods in the fact that retirement rate can be estimated within the model. To estimate gross fixed capital stock of transport sector. we used the basic data on national wealth surveys in 1968, 1977, 1987 and 1997. and investment data of each transport sector during 1968-1997. We used the most reasonable data in the process of estimation after reviewing the collected data. In estimating, some retirement rates were estimated at (-) value, so we have applied various method to fix up the problem. At last, we have reported several estimation results which can be considered as reasonable ones. Compared our results with those of other researches in Korea, estimates in our research project could be said more accurate than those.

  • 본 논문에서는 무선 애드 혹 네트워크상의 패킷 폐기 공격의 영향을 분석하고 시뮬레이션을 통해 그 효과를 측정하였다. 시뮬레이션 수행 결과 RREQ 패킷을 폐기한 경우에는 네트워크에 미치는 영향이 적은 반면, RREP 및 DATA 패킷을 폐기한 경우는 네트워크의 전송 효율이 떨어졌으며. 또한 패킷을 폐기하는 악성노드가 많을수록 데이터의 전달율이 감소하고 하나의 데이터를 전송 하는데 필요한 제어 패킷의 수가 늘어남을 알 수 있었다. 시뮬레이션을 통해 분석된 결과를 바탕으로 패킷 폐기 공격의 징후를 미리 검출하거나 공격 형태를 식별하는 기초 자료로 활용가능 할 것이다.

Comparison and Analysis of Cycling Packet Drop Algorithms and RIO as Packet Drop for the Congestion Control (혼잡제어용 패킷 폐기를 위한 사이클링 패킷 폐기 기법과 RIO 알고리즘의 비교 분석)

  • In this paper, we compared and analyzed two new models of cyclic packet dropping algorithm, Adaptive Cyclic Packet Dropping algorithm (ACPD), and Non-adaptive Cyclic Packet Dropping algorithm (NCPD) with RIO. The ACPD algorithm drops adaptively packets for the congestion control, as predicting traffic pattern between each cycle. Therefore the ACPD algorithm makes up for the drawback of RIO algorithm and minimizes the wastes of the bandwidth being capable of predicting in the NCPD algorithm. We modelled two cyclic packet drop algorithms and executed a simulation and analyzed the throughput and packet drop rate based on Sending Priority changing dynamically depending on network traffic. In this algorithm, applying the strict drop precedence policy, we get better performance on priority levels. The results show that two new algorithms may provide more efficient and stricter drop precedence policy as compared to RIO independent of traffic load. The ACPD algorithm can provide better performance on priority levels and keep stricter drop policy than other algorithms.

  • In this paper, we propose the NCP (Network Control Platform)-based defense mechanism against DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) attacks in order to guarantee the transmission of normal traffic and prevent the flood of abnormal traffic. We also define defense modules, the threshold and packet drop-rate used for the response against DDoS attacks. NCP analyzes whether DDoS attacks are occurred or not based on the flow and queue information collected from SR (Source Router) and VR (Victim Router). Attack packets are dopped according to drop rate decided from NCP. The performance is simulated using OPNET and evaluated in terms of the queue size of both SR and VR, the transmitted volumes of legitimate and attack packets at SR.

  • Purpose: This study analyzed the increase in disposal rate of femoral heads in the bone bank of a single hospital from medical disease and drug history, as assessed by the Korean health insurance review and assessment service. Materials and Methods: The disposal rate and cause of 340 femoral heads were analyzed according to the regulations of the bone bank based on the standard model of the Ministry of food and drug safety. Results: One hundred and seven (33%) of 323 femoral heads collected from 2009 to 2018, and 65 (46%) of 142 femoral heads collected from 2015 to 2018 were discarded. The most common causes were related to the history of dementia and the administration of radioisotope for nuclear medicine. Conclusion: The current methods and screening tools can lead to errors in disposing of the available tissues in a bone bank. Thus, improved standards and screening methods are needed.

시멘트 산업에서의 자원재활용

  • 1. 2014년도 우리나라 전체 폐기물 발생량은 146,607천 톤이며, 건설폐기물이 46.2%(67,644천 톤), 사업장 일반폐기물이 38.1%(55,914천 톤), 생활폐기물이 12.4%(18,219천 톤), 사업장 지정페기물이 3.3%(48,810천 톤)을 나타내고 있다. 2. 건설폐기물의 97.9%, 배출시설계 폐기물의 77.3%, 생활폐기물의 67.0%, 지정폐기물의 57.3%가 재활용되고 있다. 3. 2015년도 우리나라 시멘트산업에서 18,801천 톤의 순환자원을 재활용하였다. 폐기물이 6,136천 톤이고, 부산물이 12,665천 톤이다. 부산물은 11,000천톤이 제철슬래그이고, 1,600천 톤이 폐석고(탈황석고 중화석고)로 추정된다. 그리고 폐기물 6,136천 톤은 사업장 일반폐기물의 약 11.0%에 해당된다. 4. 시멘트 톤당 순환자원 사용량(재활용 원단위)은 일본이 400kg/톤 이상이고 우리나라는 300kg/톤 대를 나타내고 있다. 일본이 우리나라보다 재활용량/톤이 많은 이유를 다음에서 찾을 수 있다. (1) 고품위 석회석 원료 (2) 법 제도(지원금 포함) 5. 원료 대체율의 산출은 다음 두 산출방법으로 나타낼수 있다. (1) 이론적인 원료 상한 대체량에 대한 실제 원료 대체량 (2) 이론적인 원료 조합량에 대한 실제 원료 대체량 2015년도 우리날 전체 원료 대체량(17,770천 톤)은 (1)에 의한 대체율 : 71% (2)에 의한 대체율 : 27% 6. 자동차 슈레더 더스트(ASR)를 시멘트산업에서 자원화 하게끔 ASR처리의 보완 및 법적지원(지원금 포함)이 요망된다. 7. 부산물 및 폐기물의 자원화는 시멘트산업에서의 이용이 가장 우수한 장점을 갖추고 있다. 그러므로 시멘트산업에서 폐기물의 자원화를 적극 추진하게끔 제도의 보완 및 시설지원 등 정부의 대책수립이 간절하다.

A Design of The PHB Mapping Model for Combining Services with DiffServ in The MPLS Network (멀티 프로토콜 레벨 스위칭망에서 DiffServ와의 서비스 결합을 위한 PHB 매핑모델 설계)

  • This study proposed the PHB mapping model for combining services with DiffServ in the MPLS network capable of high-speed switching, and the effective differential bandwidth service model in the MPLS network on the basis of the proposed mapping model. The result of simulation on the service model using PRI showed that the transmission rate was achieved as much as the assigned bandwidth regardless of the increase of traffic as far as the EF PHB did not exceed the assigned bandwidth at the peak rate when the overall traffic increased.
