Variations in Temperature and Relative Humidity of Rough Rice in the Polypropylene Bulk Bag during Waiting Time for Drying (벌크 백 수확 벼의 건조대기 시간 중 온.습도 변화양상 구명)

  • The uses of the polypropylene bulk bags having the loading capacities more than 500 kg are increasing in Korea recently as a storage container for rough rice. This study was performed to obtain the basic information on the changes of temperature and relative humidity in the bulk-bag-stored high moisture rough rice during waiting for drying. At the moisture content more than 22% on wet weight basis of paddy, the bulk-bag inside temperature rose up to more than $40^{\circ}C$ and then slid down during storage. For example, in case of Hwaseongbyeo, 26.5% moisture content of rough rice (MCRR) harvested at 46 days after heading (DAH) showed $54.5^{\circ}C$ of peak temperature at 66.8 hours after bulk-bag loading, 22.5% MCRR harvested at 52 DAH exhibited $42.0^{\circ}C$ at 81.1 hours, and 19.7% MCRR harvested at 55 DAH displayed $38.9^{\circ}C$ at 119.0 hours. There were a good linear relationship between peak temperatures of bulk-bag inside and moisture contents of paddy ($r^2$=0.89 in 2005, and 0.87 in 2006), while the slope and intercept of the linear regression equation was affected by the environmental conditions such as ambient temperatures and microbial flora. The peak temperatures increased with the rate of about $2.74-3.33^{\circ}C$ per every 1% increase of moisture content at higher moisture contents of paddy than 19%. The relative humidity varied depending on bulk-bag inside temperature and rough rice moisture content, and showed the range of 94.2% to 99.9% in the central point of the bulk-bag. The results suggested that a rapid drying treatment as soon as possible was needed to produce a good quality of rice when the paddy of high moisture more than 22% on wet basis was harvested in a bulk-bag especially at high ambient temperature.

Analysis of Hydrological Drought Considering MSWSI and Precipitation (MSWSI와 강수인자를 고려한 수문학적 가뭄 분석)

  • In this study, the hydrological and meteorological drought index with precipitation as a major factor were calculated, and various analyses of hydrological drought were conducted. The Modified Surface Water Supply Index (MSWSI) was applied to the hydrological drought index and Standardize Precipitation Index (SPI) was used to estimate the meteorological drought index. The target area for the estimation is the dam area among MSWSI categories. The 4001 basin with 43 years data from 1975 to 2017 was analyzed for the drought occurrence status and time series plotted with the monthly SPI and MSWSI. For the dam watershed based on the precipitation that has the role of a water supply in the hydrological cycle, correlation analysis of precipitation, dam inflow, and stream flow was performed by the monthly and moving average (2~9 months), and the correlation between meteorological and hydrological index by monthly and moving average (3, 6 months) was then calculated. The result of multifaced analysis of the hydrological drought index and meteorological drought index is believed to be useful in developing water policy.

  • 한반도 주변의 정규적인 해양관측 효시는 1910년대로부터 시작된다. 1915년 6월부 터 원산, 부산 등 12개 항구의 중앙부에서 10일 간격으로 해양관측이 시작되었으며, 1916년 7월부터는 거문도 해야 어청도 등 10개 등대관측소에서 연안정지관측을 역일로 시작했고, 1917년 5월부터 정선해양관측이 이루어 졌는데 이들은 총독부 수산과에서 수산시험조사사업의 일환으로 수행되었고 1921년부터 총독부수산 시험장에서 이들을 더욱 발전다. 1930년대에는 정선해양관측이 매월 초순 각 도별로 수항되어 가장 훌륭 한 관측결과가 생산되었다. 1961년부터는 항구관측을 폐지하고 연안정지관측과 정선해 양관측만 이루어 지고 있으며 해양조사선을 20여개로 수정하여 2개월마다 조사에 임하 고 있다. 이들은 기본적으로 해양생물자원의 경제적 획득에 목적을 두고 있으나 자료 를 널리 공개하여 전세계의 어느 해양연구자들도 이용할 수 있도록 하고 있다. 1960년 부터는 우리 나라 연안의 조석관측도 연속적으로 수행되고 있다. 1990년 현재 21개 정 선해양관측자료와 42개의 연안정지관측자료, 매일의 표면수온분포도 21개의 평균해면 자료가 공개적으로 이용가능하다. 앞으로 유명한 연구소일수록 해양관측자료를 공개하 여 공동이용할 수 있어야 하며 해양관측의 활성화를 위해 첫째 해양관측기구를 소모품 으로 취급할 것이 요구되고, 둘째 관측선 요원의 정당한 처우가 이루어져야 하며, 셋 째 세계적인 해양조사 사업은 국가기관에서 더욱 성실히 수행될 수 있도록 여건을 조 성할 필요가 있다. 과거에는 어업활동을 위해 해양조사가 현재에는 기후변동연구에 중 요한 자료로도 이용되고 있으므로 우리는 우리주변의 해양관측을 미래학문의 기초자료 로 끊임없이 수행해야 할 중차대한 임무를 지니고 있다.는 대체로 Weddell Sea쪽에서 남동쪽으로 가면서 증가하며, 영 양염 농도가 낮은 얼음 녹은 물의 유입이 얼룩소 a의 농도를 감소시키는 것으로 사료 된다.되어, 경기만에서 출현하는 식물플랑크톤이 서해 중동부 연안수역에서 출현하는 식물 플랑크톤보다 상대적으로 낮은 광에 적응되어 있었다. the most important in the global optimum analysis because small variation of it results in the large change of the objective function, the sum of squares of deviations of the observed and computed groundwater levels. 본 논문에서는 가파른 산사면에서 산사태의 발생을 예측하기 위한 수문학적 인 지하수 흐름 모델을 개발하였다. 이 모델은 물리적인 개념에 기본하였으며, Lumped-parameter를 이용하였다. 개발된 지하수 흐름 모델은 두 모델을 조합하여 구성되어 있으며, 비포화대 흐름을 위해서는 수정된 abcd 모델을, 포화대 흐름에 대해서는 시간 지체 효과를 고려할 수 있는 선형 저수지 모델을 이용하였다. 지하수 흐름 모델은 토층의 두께, 산사면의 경사각, 포화투수계수, 잠재 증발산 량과 같은 불확실한 상수들과 a, b, c, 그리고 K와 같은 자유모델변수들을 가진다. 자유모델변수들은 유입-유출 자료들로부터 평가할 수 있으며, 이를 위해서 본 논문에서는 Gauss-Newton 방법을 이용한 Bard 알고리즘을 사용하였다. 서울 구로구 시흥동 산사태 발생 지역의 산사면에 대하여 개발된 모델을 적용하여 예제 해석을 수행함으로써, 지하수 흐름 모델이 산사태 발생 예측을 위하여 이용할 수 있음을 입증하였다.

  • For the purpose of the research, it is analyze the influence traffic Signal Progression on a CBD by expansion of Permissive Left-Turn on the advanced traffic management system program compared with traffic response control For this, divided a average distance between intersections, a traffic network on five district in four city. As the result, Volume of the traffic management system on a advanced traffic management system program compared with traffic response control is effective in traffic signal cycle 160sec 286car per lane, in 140sec 308car, 120sec 264car. As well, for a traffic network as the length of a traffic network 2.0~3.0km, under 2.0km, all of traffic signal cycle(160sec, 140sec, 120sec) a passing band and stop is more effective. But the traffic management system on traffic response control compared with the traffic management system on a advanced traffic management system program is effective in the length of a traffic network over 5.0km. For the efficiency of traffic signal system manage, it should be runned the traffic management system on traffic response control in addition to the traffic management system on a advanced traffic management system program on CBD. As the result of simulation the business in chungju-si, the travel speed of the traffic management system on a advanced traffic management system program is 41.2km/h and the travel speed of traffic response control is 37.5km/h. Therefore, it should be runned per length of a traffic network the traffic management system on traffic response control in addition to the traffic management system on a advanced traffic management system program on CBD.

  • To make popular the NEV(Neighborhood Electric Vehicles) uses, it must be considered the supply of infrastructure and the political decision for NEV. However, the guidelines of infrastructure for NEV are not prepared. The guidelines of infrastructure for NEV should be performed in many research and case. The purpose of this study is to reveal the influence of NEV on the two-lane highway traffic flows by TWOPAS simulation model. The main items to check the influence are Average Travel speed, Percent Time Spent Following and Total Delay. The scenario were setup by traffic volume. And the NEV percentages are changed from 1% ~ 30%. The scenario 1 which traffic volume are 650veh/h and the scenario 4 which traffic volume are 2,600veh/h are less influenced by NEV, compare to scenario 2, scenario 3. Because the scenario 1 is more free to make passing other cars and Scenario 4 is fully saturated with existing traffic volumes. The urban two-lane highway which has much traffic volume and the rural two-lane highway which has little traffic volume has affinity for NEV than the other two-lane highway.

Design and Implementation of Response type of Flickering Green Signal System using Beacon Message (비콘메세지를 이용한 반응형 녹색점멸 신호시스템 설계 및 구현)

  • As a domestic traffic control signal system, either the system with which a traffic signal turns into green at regular intervals or the system with which an amber or a red signal flickers on local roads without heavy traffic at midnight has been utilized. However, when the former system is used for roads with light traffic at midnight, delays and congestion can be incurred. Besides, in case of the latter signal system, the risk of vehicle crash is high. This study proposes a response type of flickering green signal system that rearranges signal system after analyzing beacon messages including sensor data. The proposed system, on a trunk road or a branch road at midnight, makes the signal keep flickering in green; When a vehicle enters the range of RSE, the transfer coverage, it transmits beacon messages regularly and Agent System analyzes the messages and alters the signal. It is a system by which vehicles move following the altered signal system, which will not only ensure smooth flow but also prevent vehicles from crashing on a road with light traffic. As a result of a simulation, traffic throughput and the average waiting time displayed 10 to 30 percent better improvement than existing signal systems, in terms of performance.

Development of an Actuated Traffic Signal Control Strategy to Minimize Dilemma Zone (딜레마 구간 최소화를 위한 감응식 신호제어전략의 개발)

  • Most of the traffic accidents are a rear-end collision and a clash generated in the signalized intersection on the local roads. So, it is demanded that the high-quality of signal control and dilemma zone control. According to the cases generated by foreign countries, we established the strategies which are composed of Volume-Density Control, strategy of the dilemma zone control using R-detector (microwave detector) In Japan and EC-DC Control. MOEs(Measure of effectiveness) are car numbers in the dilemma zone , max-out probability in the safe side and the average stopping delay in the progress side. We choose a signalized intersection in rural highway to analyze the effect of the strategies and practiced an on-the-spot survey. The result of the survey is applied to the basic data in the simulator. Consequently, strategy of the dilemma zone control using R-detector(microwave detector) in Japan is the best effective in the safe side and EC-DC control is the best in the progress side. Based on the result, we developed the effective strategy of the signal control . This strategy is composed of the strategy of Japan and the detector on the stopping line used in the EC-DC control. On the result of the analysis, new strategy is the best effective in two sides.

Runoff analysis according to LID facilities in climate change scenario - focusing on Cheonggyecheon basin (기후변화 시나리오에서의 LID 요소기술 적용에 따른 유출량 분석 - 청계천 유역을 대상으로)

  • In this study, using the RCP scenario for Hyoja Drainage subbasin of Cheonggyecheon, we analyzed the change with the Historical and Future rainfall calculated from five GCMs models. As a result of analyzing the average rainfall by each GCMs model, the future rainfall increased by 35.30 to 208.65 mm from the historical rainfall. Future rainfall increased 1.73~16.84% than historical rainfall. In addition, the applicability of LID element technologies such as porous pavement, infiltration trench and green roof was analyzed using the SWMM model. And the applied weight and runoff for each LID element technology are analyzed. As a result of the analysis, although there was a difference for each GCMs model, the runoff increased by 2.58 to 28.78%. However, when single porous pavement and Infiltration trench were applied, Future rainfall decreased by 3.48% and 2.74%, 8.04% and 7.16% in INM-CM4 and MRI-CGCM3 models, respectively. Also, when the two types of LID element technologies were combined, the rainfall decreased by 2.74% and 2.89%, 7.16% and 7.31%, respectively. This is less than or similar to the historical rainfall runoff. As a result of applying the LID elemental technology, it was found that applying a green roof area of about 1/3 of the urban area is the most effective to secure the lag time of runoff. Moreover, when applying the LID method to the old downtown area, it is desirable to consider the priority order in the order of economic cost, maintenance, and cityscape.

Electrical Stimulation Parameters in Normal and Degenerate Rabbit Retina (정상 망막과 변성 망막을 위한 전기자극 파라미터)

  • Retinal prosthesis is regarded as the most feasible method for the blind caused by retinal diseases such as retinitis pigmentosa (RP) or age related macular degeneration (AMD). Recently Korean consortium launched for developing retinal prosthesis. One of the prerequisites for the success of retinal prosthesis is the optimization of the electrical stimuli applied through the prosthesis. Since electrical characteristics of degenerate retina are expected to differ from those of normal retina, we performed voltage stimulation experiment both in normal and degenerate retina to provide a guideline for the optimization of electrical stimulation for the upcoming prosthesis. After isolation of retina, retinal patch was attached with the ganglion cell side facing the surface of microelectrode arrays (MEA). $8{\times}8$ grid layout MEA (electrode diameter: $30{\mu}m$, electrode spacing: $200{\mu}m$, and impedance: $50k{\Omega}$ at 1 kHz) was used to record in-vitro retinal ganglion cell activity. Mono-polar electrical stimulation was applied through one of the 60 MEA channel, and the remaining channels were used for recording. The electrical stimulus was a constant voltage, charge-balanced biphasic, anodic-first square wave pulse without interphase delay, and 50 trains of pulse was applied with a period of 2 sec. Different electrical stimuli were applied. First, pulse amplitude was varied (voltage: $0.5{\sim}3.0V$). Second, pulse duration was varied $(100{\sim}1,200{\mu}s)$. Evoked responses were analyzed by PSTH from averaged data with 50 trials. Charge density was calculated with Ohm's and Coulomb's law. In normal retina, by varying the pulse amplitude from 0.5 to 3V with fixed duration of $500{\mu}s$, the threshold level for reliable ganglion cell response was found at 1.5V. The calculated threshold of charge density was $2.123mC/cm^2$. By varying the pulse duration from 100 to $1,200{\mu}s$ with fixed amplitude of 2V, the threshold level was found at $300{\mu}s$. The calculated threhold of charge density was $1.698mC/cm^2$. Even after the block of ON-pathway with L-(1)-2-amino-4-phosphonobutyric acid (APB), electrical stimulus evoked ganglion cell activities. In this APB-induced degenerate retina, by varying the pulse duration from 100 to $1200{\mu}s$ with fixed voltage of 2 V, the threshold level was found at $300{\mu}s$, which is the same with normal retina. More experiment with APB-induced degenerate retina is needed to make a clear comparison of threshold of charge density between normal and degenerate retina.

Water Flow Distribution and Sedimentation Characteristics of Particle Materials in the Sihwa Constructed Wetland (시화호 인공습지의 물흐름 분포 및 입자성물질 퇴적 특성)

  • Flow distribution of water and sedimentation rate were investigated to understand the hydrodynamics and settling characteristics of particulate materials in a constructed wetland for treatment of non-point sources pollutants, the Sihwa constructed wetland, Korea. The Sihwa constructed wetland is divided into three sub-wetlands(the Banwol, the Donghwa and the Samhwa wetlands) to treat the polluted water from three streams, the Banwol stream, the Donghwa stream and the Samhwa stream. From the results of water flow experiment using dye(Rhodamine 50WT Red), it was found that the water flow in the wetland was prevailing at the waterway and open water. Dye was spread slowly in the closed water area planted by plants. The mean hydraulic retention time(HRT) at the upper area of high wetland and lower wetland of Banwol, was found to be 34.1 hr at the upper area and 74.6 hr at the lower area respectively, totaling approximately 108.7 hr(4.5 days). The sedimentation rate was higher at lower area(sites of B, C and D) of the wetland than upper area(site of A which is settling zone). Based on the forecast for 20 years as to the amount of sediment that can be deposited in the open water in the future, the sediment depth of each area would be like this: A: 6.3 cm, B: 8.3 cm, C: 7.0 cm, D: 9.5 cm. The contents of organic materials in the sediment deposited within the sediment trap were found to be higher overly in the first investigation period which had much rainfall, and B, C and D areas were found to have an increased COD accumulation than A area. Also, nitrogen and phosphorus were found to increase in the down-stream of the wetland. The results of this study suggest that a sustainable research and management for the characteristics of water flow pattern and sedimentation changeable as time passes is needs to maintain or improve the efficiency of water treatment in the constructed wetland.
