This study aims at understanding the components of on-line newspaper and how each newspaper's layout configuration is differentiated through the analysis on the websites of 10 general daily newspapers in the news stand of NAVER. The collection of data was implemented twice, and One-Way ANOVA was used as an analyzing way. The content of the analysis was carried out based on the types of visual images, the number of photo-based articles and title-based articles, the size of image for the main story, etc. As a result of analysis, the rate of news articles with the audios, videos, cards and slides differentiated from paper-based newspaper was low, and also the news articles using the informative graphics and the graphic sources were very small in number. As a whole, the newspapers in the news stand of NAVER showed that they attempt to make a distinction of their newspaper layout by using a variety of editorial techniques. The significance of this paper is to offer a basic clue to the editing formation to promote the news consumption of newspapers. Under the circumstance that the ecology of media is rapidly being reformed by new media technology, the continuous study of how the newspaper layout should be changed will be needed.

본 논문에서는 일반책에서의 정적 컨텐츠 요소와 오디오나 동영상 등의 멀티미디어 요소를 디지털 형태의 정보로 가공 및 저장하여 전자북을 편집할 수 있는 전자 출판 시스템을 설계한다. 기존의 전자북들은 멀티미디어 요소들을 보기 위한 별도의 전용 뷰어 설치가 요구되며, 서로 다른 포맷이나 다양한 프로그램들로 제작되어 문서의 통합 저장 및 관리가 어려운 실정이다. 본 논문에서 설계한 시스템은 별도의 전용 뷰어 대신 익스플로어와 같은 일반적인 뭔 브라우저를 이용하는 웹 뷰어를 지원하고, XML을 사용하여 보다 효율적으로 정보의 통합 관리 및 저장을 지원함으로써 다양한 컨텐츠 정보의 고수준의 재사용성을 제공한다. 또한, 웹상에서의 멀티미디어 요소들의 표현 시 요구되는 동기화 처리 기술을 위하여 SMIL을 이용함으로써 보다 다양한 멀티미디어 컨텐츠 및 멀티미디어 요소들의 시간적, 이벤트 발생적 동기화를 지원하여 정보 전달의 이해도를 놀일 수 있도록 한다. 설계 시스템은 웹 상에서 전자북을 보기위한 웹 뷰어, 전자북 출판 시 텍스트와 멀티미디어 요소를 표현하는 XML과 SMIL문서를 각각 자동적으로 생성하는 XMLnSMIL 에디터, 생성된 각 문서들을 데이터베이스에 저장하기 위한 XMLnSMIL2DB 저장기, 데이터베이스 내의 데이터들로 부터 XML과 SMIL문서를 자동으로 생성하는 DB2XMLnSMIL 생성기 등으로 구성된다.

국내 저작권법은 2003년 개정을 통해 창작성이 없는 데이터베이스에 대해서도 별도의 제한적 보호체계를 제공함으로써 상당한 인 적·기술적·재정적 요소를 투입한 데이터베이스의 제작자에게 일정한 인센티브를 제공해 정보산업의 발전을 도모하고자 했다. 이 번 호에서는 저작권법에 규정돼 있는 데이터베이스의 보호내용을 구체적으로 살펴보고, 그 밖의 보호수단으로서 기술적 보호조치와 ‘온라인디지털콘텐츠산업발전법’상의 내용도 간단히 알아보고자 한다. 그리고 데이터베이스의 보호를 둘러싼 뜨거운 논쟁의 단초가 됐던 ProCD 판례 및 편집저작물을 인정한 국내사례를 소개하고자 한다.

개인용 컴퓨터의 대중화가 이루어지면서 수많은 전자 문서가 작성되어졌다. 그러나 전자 문서의 검색 문제와 문서의 3가지 구성요소인 내용, 구조, 표현의 혼재로 인한 문서의 재작성이 많이 일어났다 이러한 소모적인 문서의 재작성은 특히 동일한 컨텐츠를 가진 여러 목적의 출판에서 두드러진다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 전자 문서의 재작성을 줄이고자 XML 기반 다목적 컨텐츠 출판 시스템을 설계한다. 본 논문에서 설계된 시스템은 전자 문서 변환을 2단계로 분리함 으로써 변환기 중복 구현을 최소화하고 전자 문서 편집기간의 호환성 문제를 해결한다.

졸업앨범은 한 사진관에서 한 학교를 대상으로 진행하는 프로젝트로 그 수량이나 비용으로 인해 커다란 수확을 사진관이나 인쇄소에 제공하지만, 그만큼 위험요소가 많은 프로젝트이다. 본 논문에서는 컴퓨터를 이용하여 편집한 앨범자료를 인쇄하기 위한 자동조판시스템을 설계하고 구현한다. 본 시스템의 이용분야는 졸업앨범 제작 및 결혼기념용 앨범 및 졸업 작업집 등과 같은 사진을 많이 배치하는 책자를 제작하는 곳에 적당하다.

At a time when open data receives attention as an international trend, there is a need to discuss the role of international journals in Korea to support data sharing. Based on surveys and interviews of editors from the international journals, we identified factors affecting the policy adoption and examined the journal editors' perception on the adoption and components of the data sharing policy. As a result, scholarly journals that have adopted or are planning to adopt policies have recognized that data sharing is an international trend and can contribute to research development, but they stressed that efforts to improve the perception of data sharing were still necessary. Educational activities and compensation for sharing data were needed at scholarly journals' and communities' level. Also, components perceived important and selected by more than half of the editors as mandatory were 'data availability statement', 'data sharing level', 'data sharing method', and 'data citation'. While scholarly journals do not always need to mandate data sharing, it was necessary to mention conditions where data cannot be shared through data availability statements. The role of the organization developing and operating a repository appropriate for situations in Korea was also emphasized. In addition, by identifying factors affecting the policy adoption, significant differences were found in Journal Impact Factor quartiles, publication type, and subject area. This finding indicated that journals with a high impact factor are likely to have resources to support data sharing, and open access or hybrid journals are likely to have interest in open data as a part of open science. In the medical research area, active movements for data sharing in academic communities have promoted the adoption of data sharing policies. This study would be used as basic data to facilitate the adopton and operation of scholarly journals' data sharing policies in Korea.

Comics has three components: cuts, gap between cuts, speech balloons. Still, it is true that speech balloons are not commonly subject to the study for comics. A few preceding researches pinpoint exactly the morphological features and functions of speech balloons. In today when webtoon becomes generalized, these features and functions are continued as they are and are used in webtoon. We can catch that speech balloons are also affected since the environmental elements of web induce the change in the overall comics directing. There are two perspectives to sort out the features of speech balloons: first, the placement issue of speech balloons. The unlimited expansion of web space gives the environment for comicss to use the gap between cuts as wide as they can. It leads to turn out some of the ways to place the balloons, so we can sort them out general placement, exterior placement, the upper and lower placement, scroll-use type. Second, as the directing techniques for webtoon become digitalized by the morphological issue, speech balloon itself has been expanded its ways to express by various expression methods. Analyzing and classifying, recording the newly emerged conditions on the preceding study are worthy of trying and will become the cornerstone for the follow research.

This study analyzed the collaborative process in time series by dismantling the edit log big data of Wikipedia Korea, a representative online collaboration community, from early 2002 to 2019. Analysis elements were extracted from the document edit records, formatted in standardized XML, and analyzed using Python and R. The ways of editors' contribution, the characteristics of data contents, and the trend of document creation were explained by the analysis. An active contribution of a small set of editors and a loose participation of the majority were revealed. In addition, sociocultural characteristics that appear in online communities were also found in Wikipedia Korea. A new, diverse set of external resources is necessary to sustain the collective intelligence. An effort to settle new editors into the wikipedia community and an openness through circulation structure to avoid the exclusiveness of the management group are suggested.

The purpose of this research is to suggest a competitive design by producing functions and elements needed to users based on a research about device use and needs according to user behavior. We proceeded to the research aiming a design smart document-editing device design which can be used for business regardless of place (at office or home), targeting reasonable and individualistic users from twenties to thirties. By some ways for that, first, we selected target users and based on user interviews to get enough understanding for them. Second, we produced user needs by some troubles after establishing persona and deciding target users on the basis of the research. Third, we designed form-factor visualizing work, organized design spec by the produced concept, and we developed interaction design on the basis of this scenario. Fourth, we made paper prototype and conducted user test. As a result, our final design emphasizes mobile ability and simplicity to be suitable for reasonable individualism and is able to efficiently work input, editing, and output without complicated procedure. We could also prove the validity of the design through usability test.

Software documents consists of a number of objects and relationships between them, and structure of documents can be changed frequently. In this paper, we propose a version storage and consistency management model for fine-grained software objects based on operations applied to edit software objects. An object has an interface and can be updated only through operations defined in its interface. Operations applied to objects are recorded in the operation history, which is used to retrieve versions of a document and manage consistency between documents. Because versions of an object are stored and retrieved using the operation delta, it is not needed to compare versions of a document to extract delta and it is easy to identify the changes between versions in order to propagate the changes. Consistencies between documents are managed using dependencies between objects and kinds of the operations applied to the objects. Therefore unnecessary version propagation can be avoided. This paper presents a formal model of version retrieval and consistency management at the fine-grained level based on operations applied to the objects.
