The Design of Auto Tuning Neuro-Fuzzy PID Controller Based Neural Network (신경회로망 기반 자동 동조 뉴로-퍼지 PID 제어기 설계)

  • In this paper described an auto tuning neuro-fuzzy PID controller based neural network. The PID type controller has been widely used in industrial application due to its simply control structure, easy of design, and inexpensive cost. However, control performance of the PID type controller suffers greatly from high uncertainty and nonlinearity of the system, large disturbances and so on. In this paper will design to take advantage of neural network fuzzy theory and pid controller auto toning technique. The value of initial scaling factors of the proposed controller were determined on the basis of the conventional PID controller parameters tuning methods and then they were adjusted by using neural network control techniques. This controller simple structure and computational complexity are less, and also application is easy and performance is excellent in system that is strong and has nonlinearity to system dynamic behaviour change or disturbance. Finally, the proposed auto tuning neuro-fuzzy controller is applied to magnetic levitation. Simulation results demonstrated that the control performance of the proposed controller is better than that of the conventional controller.

  • 본 논문은 개선된 Complex 방법을 이용한 하이브리드 퍼지 PID 제어기의 최적 자동동조 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제어응답은 퍼지제어기의 환산계수 값에 의해 여러 종류, 여러 형태로 변화하기 때문에 해당하는 제어계의 평가 기준을 만족하도록 제어 파라미터 값을 정하는 것이 중요하다. PID 파라미터 조정법에는 많은 방법이 제안되어 왔었다. 대표적인 예로서 Ziegler-Nichols, Cohen-Coon, Chien-Hrones-Reswick(CHR) 등에 의해 제안된 방법들이 있다. 본 논문에서는 개선된 Complex 방법을 이용한 강력한 자동동조 알고리즘이 하이브리드 퍼지 PID 제어기의 성능을 자동적으로 개선하기 위해 사용된다. 이 알고리즘은 하이브리드 퍼지 PID 파라미터와 환산계수를 제어출력 변화율과 제한조건에 따라 자동으로 추정한다. 지연시간을 갖는 1계, 2계 공정에 적용하고. 공정출력 기준치는 단위 입력으로 한다. 제어 결과의 성능평가를 위해 ITAE(Integral of Time multiplied by the Absolute value of Error)가 사용되며, 또한 제어기의 오버슈트도 토의된다.

Derivation of a Linear PID Control Law from a Fuzzy Control Theory (퍼지 제어기로부터 PID 제어기의 구현에 관한 연구)

  • Proportional-integral-derivative(P1D) controllers have been still widely used in industrial processes due to their simplicity, effectiveness, robustness for a wide range of operating conditions, and the familiarity of control engineers. And a number of recent papers in fuzzy systems are showing that fuzzy systems are universal approximators. That is, fuzzy controllers are capable of approximating any real continuous function on a compact set of arbitrary accuracy. In this paper, we derive the linear PID control law from the fuzzy control algorithm where all fuzzy sets for representing plant state variables and a control variable use common triangular types. We first lead a linear PD control law from a fuzzy logic control with only two fuzzy sets for error and change-of-error. And then we derive the linear PID control law from a fuzzy controller. We here assumed that the intervals of error, change-of-error, and integral error could be partitioned into arbitrary numbers, respectively. As a result, a linear PID controller is only a sort of various fuzzy logic controls.

Stability Analysis and Proposal of the Simplified Form of a Fuzzy PID Controller with Fixed Parameters (고정 파라미터를 갖는 단순화된 퍼지 PID 제어기의 제안과 안정도 분석)

  • This paper describes the design principle of a fuzzy PID controller with fixed parameters, proposes the simulified form of a fuzzy PID controller to increase the computational efficiency and analyzes stability of a proposed fuzzy PID controller. After a detailed stability analysis using ‘small gain theorem’, a simple and practical sufficient condition for the BIBO stability of the overall feedback control system is derived. The derived stability condition offers a calculation method to obtain parameters of a fuzzy PID controller from parameters of a stable PID controller. Finally several computer simulations are executed to confirm the effectiveness of the fuzzy PID controller with fixed parameters.

Design of Fuzzy Digital PID Controller Using Simplified Indirect Inference Method (간편 간접추론방법을 이용한 퍼지 디지털 PID 제어기의 설계)

  • This paper describes the design of fuzzy digital PID controller using simplified indirect inference method. First, the fuzzy digital PID controller is derived from the conventional continuous time linear digital PID controller. Then the fuzzification, control-rule base, and defuzzification using SIM in the design of the fuzzy digital controller are discussed in detail. The resulting controller is a discrete time fuzzy version of the conventional digital PID controller, which has the same linear structure, but are nonlinear functions of the input signals. The proposed controller enhances the self-tuning control capability, particularly when the process to be controlled is nonlinear. When the SIM is applied, the fuzzy inference results can be calculated with splitting fuzzy variables into each action component and are determined as the functional form of corresponding variables. So the proposed method has the capability of the high speed inference and adapting with increasing the number of the fuzzy input variables easily. Computer simulation results have demonstrated the superior to the control performance of the one proposed by D. Misir et al.

  • 본 논문에서는 전문가의 지식이 없는 상황에서 자동적으로 최적의 퍼지 제어기를 설계하는 방법에 대해 연구한다. 먼저 퍼지 제어기의 규칙 설정을 위해 기존의 PID 제어기의 입출력 데이터를 클러스터링한다. 군집된 데이터들로부터 클러스터의 수를 파악하고 이를 바탕으로 퍼지 제어를 위한 규칙의 수를 결정한다. 둘째로 퍼지 제어기의 여러 파라미터들은 유전자 알고리즘을 적용하여 최적화한다. GA를 이용한 최적화 과정에서는 성능평가 기준으로 기준입력에 대한 시스템 응답간의 오차와 오버슈트의 크기를 사용하여 응답이 빠르고 안정적인 제어기를 설계하도록 진화방향을 설정한다. 이렇게 만들어진 퍼지 제어기의 성능을 기존의 PID 제어기와 비교 평가한다

  • PID controller is being used in many servo control system. However, when a control system has variable load, it is difficult to guarantee the accurate control of the system. In the way of solving this problem, in this paper, a auto-tuning method of PID controller parameter using fuzzy rule in variable load is presented. The parameter of PID controller are decided by fuzzy rule according to load variation. The accurate control function of fuzzy auto-tuning is demonstrated by simulation.

Design of High Performance Hybrid Fuzzy Controller for the zero-crossing speed control of a Hydraulic System (유압시스템의 극저속 속도제어를 위한 하이브리드 퍼지 제어기의 설계)

  • Due to the friction characteristics of cylinders and the rail of a passenger car, in the elevator actuated with hydraulic systems, there exist dead zones, which can not be controlled by a PID controller. In this paper, the friction characteristics of a cylinder is examined, which may cause the abrupt increase of the acceleration in the zero-costing speed region. To overcome the drawbacks of a PID controlled hydraulic elevator system, a zooming fuzzy logic controller is designed and finally an improved hybrid fuzzy controller is proposed. The effectiveness of the proposed control scheme are shown by simulation and experimental results, which the proposed fuzzy hybrid control method yields good control performance not only in the zero-crossing speed region but also in the overall control region including steady-state region.

  • This paper proposes a optimum design method for the Fuzzy PID controller of magnetic levitation-based Rail-Guided Vehicle(RGV). Since an attraction type levitation system is intrinsically unstable, it is difficult to completely satisfy the desired performance through the methods designed by conventional controllers. In the paper, the Fuzzy PID controller with fixed parameters are applied and then the optimum parameters of fuzzy PID controller are selected by genetic algorithm. For the fitness function of genetic algorithm, the performance index of PID controller is used. To verify the performance of the proposed method, we used Matlab/simulink model of Maglev and compared the proposed method with the performance of PID controller. The simulation results show that the proposed method is more effective than conventional PID controller.
