Design of a fuzzy model predictive controller for combustion control of refuse incineration plant (쓰러기 소각로의 연소제어를 위한 퍼지모델 예측제어기 설계)

  • Refuse incineration plant operations involve many kinds of uncertain factors, such as the variable physical properties of refuse as fuel and the complexity of the burning phenomenon. This makes it very dificult to apply conventional control methods to the combustion control of the refuse. So most of the refuse incineration plant are operated by operators. In this paper, an multi-variable fuzzy model predictive controller is proposed for the combustion control of the re:fuse. Adaptive network based fuzzy inference system is used for modeling of the refuse incineration plant and multi-variable fuzzy model predictive controller is designed based on the identified fuzzy model. And computer simulation was carried out to evaluate performance of the proposed controller.

  • 최근 들어 소리의 세기나 하모니, 템포, 리듬 등의 다양한 음악 신호 특성을 기반으로 한 음악 무드 분류에 대한 연구가 활발하게 진행되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 음악 무드 분류의 정확도를 높이기 위하여 음악 신호 특성과 더불어 노래 가사와 소셜 네트워크 상에서의 사용자 평가 등을 함께 고려하는 멀티 모달 음악 무드 분류 기법을 제안한다. 이를 위해, 우선 음악 신호 특성에 대해 퍼지 추론 기반의 음악 무드 추출 기법을 적용하여 다수의 가능한 음악 무드를 추출한다. 다음으로 음악 가사에 대해 TF-IDF 기법을 적용하여 대표 감정 키워드를 추출하고 학습시킨 가사 무드 분류기를 사용하여 가사 음악 무드를 추출한다. 마지막으로 소셜 네트워크 상에서의 사용자 태그 등 사용자 피드백을 통한 음악 무드를 추출한다. 특정 음악에 대해 이러한 다양한 경로를 통한 음악 무드를 교차 분석하여 최종적으로 음악 무드를 결정한다. 음악 분류를 기반한 자동 음악 추천을 수행하는 사용자 만족도 평가 실험을 통해서 제안하는 기법의 효율성을 검증한다.

Evaluation of Interpretability for Generated Rules from ANFIS (ANFIS에서 생성된 규칙의 해석용이성 평가)

  • Fuzzy neural network is an integrated model of artificial neural network and fuzzy system and it has been successfully applied in control and forecasting area. Recently ANFIS(Adaptive Network-based Fuzzy Inference System) has been noticed widely among various fuzzy neural network models because of outstanding performance of control and forecasting accuracy. ANFIS has capability to refine its fuzzy rules interactively with human expert. In particular, when we use initial rule structure for machine learning which is generated from human expert, it is highly probable to reach global optimum solution as well as shorten time to convergence. We propose metrics to evaluate interpretability of generated rules as a means of acquiring domain knowledge and compare level of interpretability of ANFIS fuzzy rules to those of C5.0 classification rules. The proposed metrics also can be used to evaluate capability of rule generation for the various machine learning methods.

  • In this paper, we propose Fuzzy Polynomial Neural Networks(FPNN) based on Polynomial Neural Networks(PNN) and Fuzzy Neural Networks(FNN) for model identification of complex and nonlinear systems. The proposed FPNN is generated from the mutually combined structure of both FNN and PNN. The one and the other are considered as the premise part and consequence part of FPNN structure respectively. As the consequence part of FPNN, PNN is based on Group Method of Data Handling(GMDH) method and its structure is similar to Neural Networks. But the structure of PNN is not fixed like in conventional Neural Networks and self-organizing networks that can be generated. FPNN is available effectively for multi-input variables and high-order polynomial according to the combination of FNN with PNN. Accordingly it is possible to consider the nonlinearity characteristics of process and to get better output performance with superb predictive ability. As the premise part of FPNN, FNN uses both the simplified fuzzy inference as fuzzy inference method and error back-propagation algorithm as learning rule. The parameters such as parameters of membership functions, learning rates and momentum coefficients are adjusted using genetic algorithms. And we use two kinds of FNN structure according to the division method of fuzzy space of input variables. One is basic FNN structure and uses fuzzy input space divided by each separated input variable, the other is modified FNN structure and uses fuzzy input space divided by mutually combined input variables. In order to evaluate the performance of proposed models, we use the nonlinear function and traffic route choice process. The results show that the proposed FPNN can produce the model with higher accuracy and more robustness than any other method presented previously. And also performance index related to the approximation and prediction capabilities of model is evaluated and discussed.

  • In this paper, an optimal design method of clonal selection based Fuzzy-Neural Networks (FNN) model for complex and nonlinear systems is presented. The FNNs use the simplified inference as fuzzy inference method and Error Back Propagation Algorithm as learning rule. Also Advanced Clonal Selection (ACS) is proposed to find the parameters such as parameters of membership functions, learning rates and momentum coefficients. The proposed method is based on an Immune Algorithm (IA) using biological Immune System and The performance is improved by control of differentiation rate. Through that procedure, the antibodies are producted variously and the parameter of FNN are optimized by selecting method of antibody with the best affinity against antigens such as object function and limitation condition. To evaluate the performance of the proposed method, we use the time series data for gas furnace and traffic route choice process.

  • The upcoming warfare will be network-centric warfare with the acquiring and sharing of information on the battlefield through the connection of the entire weapon system. Therefore, the amount of information generated increases, but the technology of evaluating the information is insufficient. Threat assessment is a technology that supports a quick decision, but the information has many uncertainties and is difficult to apply to an advanced battlefield. This paper proposes a threat assessment based on artificial intelligence while removing the target uncertainty. The artificial intelligence system used was a fuzzy inference system and a multi-layer perceptron. The target was classified by inputting the unique characteristics of the target into the fuzzy inference system, and the classified target information was input into the multi-layer perceptron to calculate the appropriate threat value. The validity of the proposed technique was verified with the threat value calculated by inputting the uncertain target to the trained artificial neural network.

  • In this paper, we design neurofuzzy networks architecture by means of linear fuzzy inference. The proposed neurofuzzy networks are equivalent to linear fuzzy rules, and the structure of these networks is composed of two main substructures, namely premise part and consequence part. The premise part of neurofuzzy networks use fuzzy space partitioning in terms of all variables for considering correlation between input variables. The consequence part is networks constituted as first-order linear form. The consequence part of neurofuzzy networks in general structure(for instance ANFIS networks) consists of nodes with a function that is a linear combination of input variables. But that of the proposed neurofuzzy networks consists of not nodes but networks that are constructed by connection weight and itself correspond to a linear combination of input variables functionally. The connection weights in consequence part are learned by back-propagation algorithm. For the evaluation of proposed neurofuzzy networks. The experimental results include a well-known NASA dataset concerning software cost estimation.

  • 생활환경이 새로운 패러다임으로 변해가고 있다. 유비쿼터스 환경을 앞당기기 위하여 산업체 전반에 걸쳐 변화를 거듭하고 연구가 지속되고 있다. 유비궈터스 환경은 농업 분야에도 적용되어 농산물의 재배와 수확에 이르기까지 전반적인 형태를 변화 시키고 있다. 재배 시설을 원격지에서 제어함으로써 적절한 재배환경을 지원할 수 있도록 하여 환경변화 관리를 효율적으로 할 수 있으며, 사용자의 성향에 맞는 재배 환경 여건을 지능적으로 판단하고 제어 할 수 있는 시스템이 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 다양한 환경 즉, 온도, 습도, $CO_{2}$, 조도 등의 변화를 센서네트워크를 통하여 감지하고, 퍼지시스템을 통하여 환경변화를 추론하여 환기시설을 적절하게 제어할 수 있는 시스템과 알고리즘을 제안한다.

  • This paper proposes a new approach to the design of cruise control system of a mobile robot with two drive wheel. The proposed control scheme uses a Gaussian function as a unit function in the fuzzy neural network, and back propagation algorithm to train the fuzzy neural network controller in the framework of the specialized learning architecture. It is proposed a learning controller consisting of two neural network-fuzzy based on independent reasoning and a connection net with fixed weights to simply the neural networks-fuzzy. The performance of the proposed controller is shown by performing the computer simulation for trajectory tracking of the speed and azimuth of a mobile robot driven by two independent wheels.

A Fuzzy-based Inference Model for Web of Trust Using User Behavior Information in Social Network (사회네트워크에서 사용자 행위정보를 활용한 퍼지 기반의 신뢰관계망 추론 모형)

  • We are sometimes interacting with people who we know nothing and facing with the difficult task of making decisions involving risk in social network. To reduce risk, the topic of building Web of trust is receiving considerable attention in social network. The easiest approach to build Web of trust will be to ask users to represent level of trust explicitly toward another users. However, there exists sparsity issue in Web of trust which is represented explicitly by users as well as it is difficult to urge users to express their level of trustworthiness. We propose a fuzzy-based inference model for Web of trust using user behavior information in social network. According to the experiment result which is applied in Epinions.com, the proposed model show improved connectivity in resulting Web of trust as well as reduced prediction error of trustworthiness compared to existing computational model.
