Learning Method of the ADALINE Using the Fuzzy System (퍼지 시스템을 이용한 ADALINE의 학습 방식)

  • In this paper, we proposed a learning algorithm for the ADALINE network. The proposed algorithm exploits fuzzy system for automatic tuning of the weight parameters of the ADALINE network. The inputs of the fuzzy system are error and change of error, and the output is the weight variation. We used different scaling factor for each weights. In order to verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm, we peformed the simulation and experimentation for the cases of the noise cancellation and the inverted pendulum control. The results show that the proposed algorithm does not need the learning rate and improves 4he performance compared to the Widrow-Hoff delta rule for ADALINE.

Fuzzy Control of Smart TMD using Multi-Objective Genetic Algorithm (다목적 유전자알고리즘을 이용한 스마트 TMD의 퍼지제어)

  • In this study, an optimization method using multi-objective genetic algorithm(MOGA) has been proposed to develop a fuzzy control algorithm that can effectively control a smart tuned mass damper(TMD). A 76-story benchmark building subjected to wind load was selected as an example structure. The smart TMD consists of 100kN MR damper and the natural period of the smart TMD was tuned to the first mode natural period of the example structure. Damping force of MR damper is controlled to reduce the wind-induced responses of the example structure by a fuzzy logic controller. Two input variables of the fuzzy logic controller are the acceleration of 75th floor and the displacement of the smart TMD and the output variable is the command voltage sent to MR damper. Multi-objective genetic algorithm(NSGA-II) was used for optimization of the fuzzy logic controller and the acceleration of 75th story and the displacement of the smart TMD were used as objective function. After optimization, a series of fuzzy logic controllers which could appropriately reduce both wind responses of the building and smart TMD were obtained. Based on numerical results, it has been shown that the control performance of the smart TMD is much better than that of the passive TMD and it is even better than that of the sample active TMD in some cases.

  • This paper proposes a controller design method using the evolutionary computation algorithm and the fuzzy logic to control the wafer temperature in rapid thermal processing. First, we design the feedforward static controller to provide the control powers of the lamps for the given steady state temperature. Second, the feedforward dynamic controller is designed for the additional control powers to achieve a given transient response. These feedforward controllers are implemented by using the fuzzy logic to act as a global nonlinear controller over a wide range of operating points. The parameters of these controllers are optimized by using the evolutionary computation algorithm so that it can be used when the mathematical model is not available. In addition, the feedback error controller is introduced to compensate the feedforward controllers when there exist disturbances and modeling errors. The gain of feedback error controller is also obtained by the evolutionary computation algorithm. Through simulations, we verify the proposed control system can give a satisfactory performance.

  • For the design of multivariable fuzzy control systems decomposition of control rules is a efficent inference method since it alleviates the complexity of the problem. In some systems, however, inference error of the Gupta's decomposition method is inevitable because of its approximate nature. In this paper we define indices of applicability which decides whether the decomposition method can be applied to a multivariable fuzzy system or not.

  • In this paper, a fuzzy logic controll(FLC) is designed for the pointing loop of the spinstabilized platform. For the fuzzy inference, a fuzzy accelerator board using the Togai InfraLogic software and digital fuzzy processor(DFP110FC) is designed, and a validation of an algorithm for fuzzy logic control is also presented. Through the simulation and the experiment, it can be seen that the designed FLC shows better performance than a conventional controller using the same loop gain.

  • It is essential to develop an algorithm for the estimate of link travel velocity and for the supply and control of travel information in the context of intelligent transportation information system. The paper proposes the fuzzy logic based prediction of link travel velocity. Three factors such as time, date and velocity are considered as major components to represent the travel situation. In the fuzzy modeling, those factors were expressed by fuzzy membership functions. We acquire position/velocity data through GPS antenna with PDA embedded probe vehicles. The link travel velocity is calculated using refined GPS data and the prediction results are compared with actual data for its accuracy.

  • Intention reading technique is essential to provide personalized services toward more convenient and human-friendly services in complex ubiquitous environment such as a smart home. If a system has knowledge about an user's intention of his/her behavioral pattern, the system can provide mote qualified and satisfactory services automatically in advance to the user's explicit command. In this sense, learning capability is considered as a key function for the intention reading technique in view of knowledge discovery. In this paper, ore introduce a personalized media control method for a possible application iii a smart home. Note that data pattern such as human behavior contains lots of inconsistent data due to limitation of feature extraction and insufficiently available features, where separable data groups are intermingled with inseparable data groups. To deal with such a data pattern, we introduce an effective engineering approach with the combination of fuzzy logic and probabilistic reasoning. The proposed learning system, which is based on IFCS (Iterative Fuzzy Clustering with Supervision) algorithm, extract probabilistic fuzzy rules effectively from the given numerical training data pattern. Furthermore, an extended architectural design methodology of the learning system incorporating with the IFCS algorithm are introduced. Finally, experimental results of the media contents recommendation system are given to show the effectiveness of the proposed system.

Numerical Study of Hybrid Base-isolator with Magnetorheological Damper and Friction Pendulum System (MR 감쇠기와 FPS를 이용한 하이브리드 면진장치의 수치해석적 연구)

  • Numerical analysis model is proposed to predict the dynamic behavior of a single-degree-of-freedom structure that is equipped with hybrid base isolation system. Hybrid base isolation system is composed of friction pendulum systems (FPS) and a magnetorheological (MR) damper. A neuro-fuzzy model is used to represent dynamic behavior of the MR damper. Fuzzy model of the MR damper is trained by ANFIS (Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System) using various displacement, velocity, and voltage combinations that are obtained from a series of performance tests. Modelling of the FPS is carried out with a nonlinear analytical equation that is derived in this study and neuro-fuzzy training. Fuzzy logic controller is employed to control the command voltage that is sent to MR damper. The dynamic responses of experimental structure subjected to various earthquake excitations are compared with numerically simulated results using neuro-fuzzy modeling method. Numerical simulation using neuro-fuzzy models of the MR damper and FPS predict response of the hybrid base isolation system very well.

  • This paper addresses that through the use of Fuzzy Logic Control, a reactiv behavior (e.g. avoiding obstacles on the way) are smoothly blended into one sequence of control action. In this classical problem, the aim is to guide a mobile robot along its path to avoid any static obstacles in front of it. This controller presented here uses three sub-controllers. This fuzzy controller was apply to a miniature mobile robot. This robot follows a left wall, maintining a minimum distance.

  • 본 논문에서느 윈도우에 기반을 둔 지능적인 폴리싱 메커니즘을 제안하다. 이전의 메커니즘들이 소스 파라메터만을 인수로 삼은 반면에, 제안 알고리즘은 링크의 현재 상태를 고려할 수 있도록 망으로부터 얻어진 추가 파라메터를 이용한다. ATM 교환기 노드에서 링크이 점유율을 나타내는 버퍼점유율을 추가 파라메터로 제안하였다. 또한, 소스 트래픽의 효과적인 제어를 위해서 퍼지 논리에 따라 다음 윈도우의 셀 허용치를 결정한다. 제안 알고리즘으 모의실험 결과는 본 알고리즘이 기존 퍼지 알고리즘과 같이 기본 요구사항을 잘 수행함을 보여준다. 그리고, 제안한 버퍼정유율을 포함시킴으로서 다중화기의 셀량에 따른 분산치가 다른 알고리즘에 비해 훨씬 안정되어 감을 보이고 있다. 이러한 점에서, 제안 알고리즘이 귀한 정보인 버퍼점유율을 이용해 폭주를 피하는 등의 더 좋은 망 상태를 추가적인 장점으로 확인할 수 있다.
