Line Segment Detection Algorithm Using Improved PPHT (개선된 PPHT를 이용한 선분 인식 알고리즘)

  • The detection rate of Progressive Probability Hough Transform(PPHT) is decreased when a lot of noise components exist due to an unclear or complex original image although it is quite a good algorithm that detects line segments accurately. In order to solve the problem, we propose an improved line detecting algorithm which is robust to noise components and recovers slightly damaged edges. The proposed algorithm is based on PPHT and traces a line segments by pixel and checks of it is straight. It increases the detection rate by reducing the effect of noise components and by recovering edge patterns within a limited pixel size. The proposed algorithm is applied to a lane detection method and the false positive detection rate is decreased by 30% and the line detection rate is increased by 15%.

  • As an agent is applied into various fields, it is suggested as the paradigm of new application technology in the area of computer communication. However, the mobile agent brines the problem of security on an agent due to mobility. This study proposals the mobile agent protection protocol framework for more effective protection and safety. The designed Framework of protocol uses the public ky, the private key and the digital signature in PKI environment based on JAVA. This is the mechanism accomplishing safely the work of an agent by tracking the pattern of execution and the mobility plan through the VS(verification server). This also secures the suity and the flawlessness of an agent through the VS guaranteeing safety from malicious attacks.

  • 조영증강 의료 초음파 영상에서 조영제의 확산효과에 대한 분석은 간질환과 연관된 각종 병변을 검출하고 분석하는 과정에서 매우 유용한 정보를 제공한다. 본 연구에서는 초음파 영상에서 조영제의 확산 패턴을 분석하고 이를 영상화하는 방법을 제안한다. 이 과정에서 부수적으로 호흡에 의한 흔들림 현상을 보정하고 노이즈의 영향을 극복할 수 있는 방법론을 고찰한다. 호흡주기에 따른 모멘텀 요소를 고려한 ROI 추적 기법은 측정과정에서의 흔들림과 노이즈에 의한 오류를 최소화 할 수 있게 한다. 조영제의 확산 단계에 따라 서로 다른 노이즈 비율을 고려하여 동적 가중치를 할당하는 방법으로써 흔들림을 보정하였으며, 조영제의 전이 시간과 패턴을 분석하고 그 특성을 분류함으로써 간 병변 분석을 위한 효과적인 영상화기법을 구현하였다. 또한 생성된 영상에서 노이즈를 제거하고 영상을 개선하는 방법으로서 MRF 기반의 최적화 알고리즘을 적용하는 영상 개선 기법을 제시한다.

Color Landmark Based Self-Localization for Indoor Mobile Robots (이동 로봇을 위한 컬러 표식 기반 자기 위치 추정 기법)

  • We present a simple artificial landmark model and robust landmark tracking algorithm for mobile robot localization. The landmark model, consisting of symmetric and repetitive color patches, produces color histograms that are invariant under the geometric and photometric distortions. A stochastic approach based on the CONDENSATION tracks the landmark model robustly even under the varying illumination conditions. After the landmark detection, relative position of the mobile robot to the landmark is calculated. Experimental results show that the proposed landmark model is effective and can be detected and tracked in a clustered scene robustly. With the tracked single landmark, we extract geometrical information than achieve accurate localization.

  • It is helpful to use Intelligent Video Surveillance to replace and supplement the demerit which can possibly occur due to the mistake that can be made by human management. To accomplish this, it is essential that the system should digitalize image information from surveillance camera so that the system, itself, can be able to locate a object and to analyze the pattern of the object. Also, it is imperative that the system should have ability to operate a alarm and a entrance blocking system and to notify a situation to a security manager. Zooming a small object form a screen, however, requires a exact zooming ratio of the object and a shift of centric coordinate. In this paper, It is able to locate and observe closely a object from flexible background, regardless of the distance, by calculating a zooming ratio according to object moment, pan coordinate, and tilt coordinate.

  • In this paper, we propose a system that tracks the position of the passengers and sailors using a Bluetooth-based Beacon in the ship. The position of the tracking passengers, sometimes fatal emergencies of the rescue team, such as the sinking of the ship is utilized in order to efficiently and quickly rescue the passengers, and the collected data can be utilized additionally by grasping the flow of human traffic patterns. The system proposed in this paper, install MAC data acquisition called AP (Access Point) for each cabin, and in the installed AP retrieves Tag of the information provided to the passenger and collected. A Tag has only its own MAC Address to the privacy, no user information is not collected. All data communication by sending and receiving MAC Address was only to ensure anonymity.

  • In Augmented Reality, it needs restoration and tracking of a real-time scene structure for the augmented 3D model from input video or images. Most of the previous approaches construct accurate 3D models in advance and try to fit them in real-time. However, it is difficult to measure 3D model accurately and requires long pre-processing time to construct exact 3D model specifically. In this research, we suggest a real-time scene structure analysis method for the wide indoor mobile augmented reality, using only generic models without exact pre-constructed models. Our approach reduces cost and time by removing exact modeling process and demonstrates the method for restoration and tracking of the indoor repetitive scene structure such as corridors and stairways in different scales and details.

  • Weather radar rainfall data has been recognized for making valuable contributions to short-term flood forecasting and management over the past decades. There are several advantages to better monitoring rainfall in ungauged area compared to ground-based rain gauges with which spatial patterns of the rainfall are not effectively identified. Hence, this study aims to develop a new scheme to forecast spatio-temporal rainfall field. The proposed model was based on an advection scheme to track wind patterns and velocity. The results showd a promising forecasting skill with quantitative and qualitative measures. It was confirmed that the forecasted rainfall may be effectively used an input data for a distributed hydrological model.

  • Various studies such as INS(: Inertial Navigation System) are conducting to estimate the position of UAV, because the GPS information of UAV is at risk like the GPS jamming. The position estimation using DoA and RTT are used to apply many radar systems, and that process can be applied in datalink of UAV. The general monopulse feed in UAV datalink is Multi-horn, because of the wide BW(: Band Width) and frequency range. And it needs wide SNR range of tracking because of the limited transmit power of airborne unit. The estimation error of position increase at low SNR, and the DoA is valid in only 3dB beam width but high SNR causes false of mainlobe detection because of large sidelobe. In this paper, We propose the method to achieve higher accuracy of DoA estimation on low SNR and review some idea that able to detect mainlobe.

Development of Radar Rainfall Tracking Technique for the Short-Term Rainfall Forecasting (초단기강우 예측을 위한 기상레이더 강우장 추적기법 개발)

  • 최근 국지성 집중호우 및 돌발홍수와 같은 급격한 기상변화로 인한 기상재해의 발생빈도가 증가함에 따라 기존 지상 기상관측소로부터 얻어지는 직접탐측 자료보다는 기상레이더와 위성영상 등 원격탐측 자료를 사용한 수문분야의 연구가 활발하게 진행되고 있다. 기상레이더는 넓은 지역에 걸쳐 실시간으로 강수현상 감시가 가능하며 지상우량계로는 파악이 불가능한 미계측 유역을 통과하는 국지적인 호우현상이나 강우장의 이동 및 변화의 파악도 빠른 시간에 가능한 장점이 있다. 본 연구는 기상레이더 공간적 분포와 지상관측소(AWS 및 ASOS) 자료를 연계한 통계적 레이더 강수량 추정(Quantitative Precipitation Estimation, QPE)과 레이더 강수장을 직접 추적하는 강수장 예측(Quantitative Precipitation Forecast, QPF)를 연계한 해석방안을 수립하였으며, 모형 적용과정은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 강우장의 공간적인 이동을 고려하기 위해 강우장으로 부터 이류(advection)패턴을 추출하여 각 강우세포가 가지는 이동방향 및 이동속도를 고려한 강우장 추적기법을 통하여 2시간의 선행시간을 가지는 강우장을 예측하고자 한다. 둘째, 과거 기상레이더 이미지와 지상관측소의 강수 특성을 파악한 후 앞서 예측된 레이더강우장의 형태와 가장 유사한 과거 레이더강우장과 동일 시간대에 지상관측소 강수시계열을 시나리오 형태로 구축한다. 본 연구를 통하여 개발된 기상레이더 영상 이미지 상관분석 기법을 활용한 초단기강우예측은 집중호우시 홍수 예 경보를 위한 수문모형의 입력자료로 활용이 가능하다. 즉, 수문모형과 연계한 고해상도 단기홍수 예측기술 적용이 가능할 것으로 판단되며, 향후 실시간 재해 예 경보에 활용성을 평가하고자 한다.
