Analysis of Cropland Spectral Properties and Vegetation Index Using UAV (UAV를 이용한 농경지 분광특성 및 식생지수 분석)

  • Remote sensing technology has been continuously developed both quantitatively and qualitatively, including platform development, exploration area, and exploration functions. Recently, the use cases and related researches in the agricultural field are increasing. Also, since it is possible to detect and quantify the condition of cropland and establish management plans and policy support for cropland and agricultural environment, it is being studied in various fields such as crop growth abnormality determination and crop estimation based on time series information. The purpose of this study was to analyze the vegetation index for agricultural land reclamation area using a UAV equipped with a multi-spectral sensor. In addition, field surveys were conducted to evaluate the accuracy of vegetation indices calculated from multispectral image data obtained using UAV. The most appropriate vegetation index was derived by evaluating the correlation between vegetation index calculated by field survey and vegetation index calculated from UAV multispectral image, and was used to analyze vegetation index of the entire area.

  • A Multi-distinction Equipment Screening Algorithm (MESA) is proposed. It selectively integrates Dow's F&EI as its process hazard index technique and ESA (Equipment Screening Algorithm) as qualitative hazard classification technique, and retrieves a detailed list of hazardous equipments with the total hazard indices of those equipments. The inherent expert system, which includes the accident scenarios of the equipments and processes and experts' views of them, narrows further down the list of hazardous equipments and recommends only the most notable candidates. Through the case study of distinguishing the hazardous ranking of the equipments of the LPG underground storage process, using the expert system or not, the applicability of MESA has been validated. Taking the characteristics of the process equipments with hazardous ranking in the point of process intrinsic safety, this proposed algorithm would contribute to providing engineers or managers with information on constructing safely devices and mitigation devices and on scheduling emergency response planning.

Comparing Directional Parameters of Very Fast Halo CMEs (코로나질량방출의 방향지시 매개인수 비교)

  • We examine geoeffective directional parameters of coronal mass ejections (CMEs). We select 30 front-side halo CMEs from SOHO LASCO CMEs whose speed is larger than 1000km/s and longitude is less than ${\pm}30^{\circ}$. These are thought to be the most plausible candidate of geoeffective CMEs. We examine the relation between CMEs directional parameters (Earthward direction, eccentricity, ${\Delta}$ distance and central angle parameter) and the minimum value of the Dst index. We have found that the Earthward direction parameter has a good correlation with the Dst index, the eccentricity parameter has a much better correlation with the Dst index. The bo distance and central angle parameter has a poor correlation with the Dst index. It's, however, well correlated with the Dst index in very strong geomagnetic storms. Most of CMEs causing very strong storms (Dst ${\leq}$-200nT) are found to have large Earthward direction parameter $({\geq}0.6)$, small eccentricity, bo distance and central angle parameters $(E{\leq}0.4,\;{\Delta}X\;and\;sin\;{\theta}{\leq}0.2)$. These directional parameters are very important parameters that control the geoeffectiveness of very fast front-side halo CMEs.

  • 다주파수 입력을 갖는 강한 비선형 시스템의 유사주기 (quasi-periodic) 해를 해석하기 위하여 개선된 고정 점법(FPA:Fixed Point Alogrithm)을 개발하였다. 안정성 및 천이 특성을 판별하기 위하여 사용되어지는 Floquest 지수인 해석적 자코비언을 구하기 위하여 Poincare 맵상에서 이산 적분법을 새로이 고안, 사용하였다. 본 방법의 우수성을 입증하기 위하여 2개의 주파수 입력을 갖는 선형 시스템과 비선형 시스템을 예로 사용하였다. 본 방법을 이용하여 비선형 시스템에서 발생한 복잡한 chaos 현상을 체계적으로 해석하였다.

  • 일반적으로 음성전화망에서 수학적 모델을 사용하여 트래픽 분석을 수행하는 경우 호 도착 시간과 채널 보류 시간은 지수 분포라고 가정한다. 본 논문에서는 이동전화망을 구성하고 있는 교환기에서 추출한 과금 데이터를 이용하여 호 발생으로 인해 집계되는 호량애 관한 호 도착 시간과 채널 보류 시간이 나타내는 분포를 알아본다. 또한 분석된 확률 분포를 통계적 검정 방법을 이용하여 경험분포함수에 대한 기대 분포함수의 적합성을 판별한다.

  • 지난 2008년 가을부터 시작되어 2009년 봄까지 발생했던 전국적인 극한 가뭄을 계기로 가뭄모니터링의 필요성은 증대되었다. 본 연구는 우리나라에서 가뭄 모니터링을 위한 MODIS 위성영상 자료의 활용을 제안하였다. MODIS 영상은 임의의 지역의 시 공간적 특성을 관찰할 수 있는 해상도를 보유하고 있으며, MODIS에서 제공하는 MOD11(LST: Land Surface Temperature)은 가뭄 발생의 판별에는 유효하나 가뭄 심도와 지속기간을 판단하기 위해서는 기준이 되는 강우량 및 가뭄지수와의 비교가 필요하다고 알려져 있다. 본 연구에서는 MOD11(LST) 위성자료와 EDI(Effective Drought Index) 가뭄지수의 상관성을 고려하여 한반도 가뭄모니터링을 위한 MODIS 위성영상의 활용성을 평가하였다.

  • Explicit equations of minimum velocity, energy slope and pipe diameter are developed to ensure the cleaning of sewerage pipes. The equations of power form are employed for the estimation of critical shear stress of sediment particles and the friction factor of commercial pipes. They are all based on the existing laboratory data. Several cases are tested to check the values suggested in the manual, using the equations developed in the present study.

  • Drought is one of the major environmental disasters. Weather data, particularity rainfall, are currently the primary source of information widely used for drought monitoring. However, weather data are often from a very sparse meteorological network, incomplete and/or not always available in good time to enable relatively accurate and timely drought detection. Data from remote sensing platforms can be used to complements weather data in drought. Therefore, data obtained from the Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer(AVHRR) sensor on board the NOAA polar-orbiting satellites have been studied as a tool for drought monitoring. The normalized difference vegetation index(NDVI)-based vegetation condition index(VCI) were used in this study These indices showed their excellent ability to detect vegetation stress due to drought. The results clearly show that temporal and spatial characteristics of drought in Korea can be detected and mapped by the VCI index.

  • In this paper, human sensibility is measured on multi-modal environment and a sensitivity lighting system is implemented according to driven emotional indexes. We use LED lighting because it supports ecological circumstance, high efficiency, and long lifetime. In particular, the LED lighting provides various color schemes even in single lighting bulb. To cognize the human sensibility, we use the image information and the arousal state information, which are composed of multi-modal basis and calculates emotional indexes. In experiments, as the LED lighting color vision varies according to users' emotional index, we show that it provides human friendly lighting system compared to the existing systems.

  • Mistaking normal packets for harmful traffic may not offer service in conformity with the intention of attacker with harmful traffic, because it is not easy to classify network traffic for normal service and it for DDoS(Distributed Denial of Service) attack. And in the IPv6 environment these researches on harmful traffic are weak. In this dissertation, hosts in the IPv6 environment are attacked by NETWOX and their attack traffic is monitored, then the statistical information of the traffic is obtained from MIB(Management Information Base) objects used in the IPv6. By adapting the ESM(Exponential Smoothing Method) to this information, a normal traffic boundary, i.e., a threshold is determined. Input traffic over the threshold is thought of as attack traffic.
