Comparative Study of Powertrain Loss and Efficiency for the Electric Vehicle and Internal Combustion Engine Vehicle (전기차와 내연기관차의 파워트레인 손실 및 효율 비교)

  • In this paper, the component loss models of the electric vehicle(EV) and the internal combustion engine vehicle(ICEV) are developed to analyze the losses and efficiencies of these two types of vehicles. The EV powertrain efficiency decreases as the vehicle velocity increases over most of the vehicle velocity range because the battery efficiency decreases. Especially, the EV powertrain efficiency decreases significantly when the battery SOC is low. But the ICEV powertrain efficiency increases as the vehicle velocity increases. This is because the efficiencies of both the transmission and engine increases.

  • 트랙터 작업은 일반적으로 부하의 변동이 크기 때문에 잦은 변속이 요구되며, 견인 또는 다양한 작업기의 구동 등 작업 조건에 따라 적합한 작업 속도를 얻기 위한 많은 변속 단수가 요구된다. 이러한 특성 때문에 트랙터의 변속기는 큰 견인 부하에서도 정지하지 않고 원하는 속도로 원활하게 변속할 수 있어야 하며 동시에 동력 손실을 최소화할 수 있어야 한다 따라서, 트랙터 변속 장치는 작업 능률과 전동 효율을 동시에 고려할 경우, 작업 능률이 놀은 유압 변속과 동력 전달 효율이 놀은 기계식 동력 전달을 조합한 파워시프트 변속이 가장 우수한 것으로 판단된다. Soliton coupler using a bent nonlinear waveguide (굽은 비선형 도파로를 이용한 솔리톤 결합기)

  • In this paper, we studied the characteristics of a soliton coupler using a bent nonlinear waveguide. The bent soliton coupler has very ,harp switching characteristic like the conventional soliton coupler due to the threshold effect of soliton emi,sion from the nonlinear waveguide. By using the bent structure, we can reduce the threshold power for the soliton emission. We consider the saturation effect of nonlinearity and the loss in the medium for more accurate and practical numerical analysis in wave propagation through the bent soliton coupler. The simulation results show that the consideration of the saturation effect and the ]os~ may be very important in the analyses and design of the nonlinear waveguide devices. The bent structure is useful for the emission of the spatial soliton with the low threshold power, when we consider the saturation and the loss effect. ffect.

  • In conventional on-demand mobile ad hoc routing algorithms, an alternate path is sought only after an active path is broken. It incurs a significant cost in terms of money and time in detecting the disconnection and establishing a new route. In this thesis, we propose proactive route selection and maintenance to conventional mobile ad hoc on-demand routing algorithms. The key idea for this research is to only consider a path break to be likely when the signal power of a received packet drops below an optimal threshold value and to generate a forewarning packet. In other words, if a path is lost with high probability, the neighboring node that may easily be cut off notifies the source node by sending a forewarning packet. Then the source node can initiate route discovery early and switched to a reliable path potentially avoiding the disconnection altogether. For the simulational study, network simulator(NS2) is used. The result of simulation shows that the algorithm significantly improves the performance of networks comparing to conventional on-demand routing protocols based on DSR and AODV in terms of packet delivery ratio, packet latency and routing overhead.

  • The conventional on-demand mobile ad hoc routing algorithms (DSR and AODV) initiate route discovery only after a path breaks, incurring a significant cost and time in detecting the disconnection and establishing a new route. In this theory, we investigate adding proposed pro-active route selection and maintenance to the conventional on-demand mobile ad hoc routing algorithms(DSR and AODV). The key idea is to be only considered likely to be a path break when the received packet power becomes close to the minimum critical power and to be generated the forewarning packet when the signal power of a received packet drops below a optimal threshold value. After generated the forewarning packet, the source node can initiate rout discovery in advance; potentially avoiding the disconnection altogether. Our extensive simulation study shows that the proposed advance-active route selection and maintenance algorithms outperforms the conventional on-demand routing protocol based on DSR and AODV in terms of packet delivery ratio, packet latency and overhead.

  • A vibration-based monitoring system is newly proposed to predict the loss of prestress forces in prestressed concrete (PSC) girder bridges. Firstly, a global damage alarming algorithm is newly proposed to monitor the occurrence of prestress-loss by using the change in frequency responses. Secondly, a prestress-loss prediction algorithm is selected to estimate the extent of prestress-loss by using the change in natural frequencies. Finally, the feasibility of the proposed system is experimentally evaluated on a scaled PSC girder model for which acceleration responses were measured for several damage scenarios of prestress-loss.

  • In this paper. the power flow analysis(PFA) method is applied to the prediction of the vibrational energy density and intensity of coupled co-planar plates. To cover the energy transmission and reflection at the joint of the plates. the wave transmission approach is Introduced with the assumption that all the incident waves are normal to the joint. By changing the frequency ranges and internal loss factors. we have obtained the reliable PFA results. and compared them with the analytical exact solutions.

전력계통용 파워일렉트로닉스 기기

  • 최근 전력설비 운용상의 여러 가지 과제에 대한 유망한 해결책으로서 파워일렉트로닉스 기기를 사용한 FACTS(Flexible AC Transmission System)가 주목을 받고 있다. 그 중에서도 자려식 변환기를 사용한 FACTS기기는 계통의 유효전력$\cdot$무효전력을 계통의 상태에 의존하지 않고 자유롭게 제어할 수 있어, 계통운용의 유연성을 비약적으로 확대할 수 있는 가능성이 있다. 미쓰비시전기는 전력기기간 계통에서의 자려식 변환기 응용의 파이어니어로서 1991년 간사이전력(주) 태산개폐소에 80Mvar SVG(전지형 무효전력발생장치)를 납품하였으며 또한 자원에너지청의 ''연계강화기술개발'' 보조사업으로 도쿄전력(주)을 비롯하여 전력회사 각사, 전원개발(주)와 (재)전력중앙연구소의 지도 하에 3단자 BTB(Back to Back) 실증시스템용으로 세계 최초의 6인치 GTO(Gate Turn-off Thyristor)를 사용한 53MVA의 자려식 변환기를 제작납품하여 수백MVA 클래스의 자려식변환기 제작기술을 확립하였다. 또한 최근에는 동사가 개발한 신소자 GCT(Gate Commutated Turn-off Thyristor)는 지금까지 대용량 자려식 변환기의 커다란 과제였던 운전손실을 반감할 수 있을 것으로 기대되고 있다. 한편 배전 분야에서는 전압변동, 고조파, 순간전압강하 등의 과제가 증가하고 있어, 미쓰비시전기는 이에 응할 수 있는 파워일렉트로닉스 기기로서 콤팩트 SVG(Static Var Generator), SSTS(Solid-state Transfer Switch), 액티브필너를 다수 납품하여 전력품질문제 해결에 공헌하고 있다.

Prediction of Sound Radiation Power from Coupled Structures Uusing SEA (SEA법에 의한 결합구조물의 음향방사파워 예측)

  • SEA(Statistical Energy Analysis) method has been applied to predict the sound radiation power from vibrating machinery. In this study, sound radiation power was predicted from coupled structures by transmission of vibration, which composed of two plates welded into an L shape. The predicted sound radiation power is in agreement within 2 or 3 dB on octave band comparing with values obtained from direct measurements. Also, in order to prove the validity of this method in changes of sound radiation power associated with modifications to structures, rubber pad was stuck on a plate. The results agree approximately within 3 or 5 dB. And SEA method is valuable for the optimal design to reduce the noise. Additionally, this paper suggests that the logarithmic decrement method is valid as the one for finding the loss factor.

  • The purpose of this study is to calculate transmission loss of KHST passenger vehicle's wall section accurately Typical transmission loss measurement of wall in the laboratory condition was carried out in advance, which is easier than KHST. Transmission loss results were compared with those by statistical acoustic method. Transmission loss values of KHST calculated by experimental method are compared with those from closed form solution.
